A lot of wait loss shows are like that. Most of the Biggest Loser contestants gained all their wait back for the same reason. The show only shows the rapid wait loss. They don't care what happens off camera long after the show ends.

I feel for David. I use to weigh 330 pounds. I didn't have the luxury of a personal trainer. It took me years to motivate myself to lose weight and reach a goal weight of 180.
Many years later, I have since maintained that weight. I have a lean muscle mass tone. My physician tells me "you have the blood pressure of an athlete". It's incredible to be the life of every party. To walk into a store and be able to fit into clothes. To look in a mirror and feel happy about what I see. Reaching my goal was worth every pound of frustration.

People who get this fat always have enablers. Without enablers, he couldn't get up to get that food. He couldn't afford it. But these sick people want someone else to be miserable with them so they encourage him to eat, they get him horrible food. It's a sick cycle.
The obesity might also be partly genetic- addiction and substance abuse might run in the family as well, which explains his need to eat junk food all the time.

This is why I don't believe in fat shaming. People develop eating disorders, whether it's binge eating or anorexia because they hate themselves. When you love yourself, you take care of yourself. When you hate yourself, you hurt yourself.

Because he and his sister struggle with their weight, I get the feeling that their parents didn't teach them any healthy eating habits. It's not completely their fault, because now David is an adult, but they aren't helping him by just enabling his poor eating habits and not pushing for him to get better.

This guy was a Hero. I followed him back in the day when he was losing all of his weight. He did it all with the help of Chris Powell. It;s so sad to see this happen. As a large person myself, this guy gave me a lot of hope. It just goes to show how evil the addiction is. :(

FYI, although I don't have a weight problem, I will say that I'm not immune to having faced this issue-I'm a college student who often can't resist the low prices I see for fast food, despite the fact that it obviously is some of the worst food you can have for yourself (on average, anyway). It costs less for me, for example, to eat at McDonald's than my college's own cafeteria! (I commute to the campus, so I don't have a meal plan or anything)

·I'm Epix· he agreed to be aired , obviously he has to sign a consent before start recording to prevent legal action .so even if he try to sue , it would lead nowhere. they got him a personal trainer diet which (they cover cover $$$ all the expenses) He’s wouldn’t afford to pay a full time personal trainer trust me, after he lost all that weight and finish the show ,he was on his own living a normal life .Now ,he decide to stop taking care of himself and gain all that weight back. That’s on him . Your are responsable for your action .

I feel so much for this man. This past year was extremely difficult for me, I had my heart broken, I lost friends and family to Covid and I got Covid myself and was so anxious and sad that I turned to food for comfort. I gain a few kg's and I feel horrible about myself. I am busy working on myself and my health but with my studies ( I'm studying a BSc degree majoring in Genetics and Physiology) and everything still going on..... I know how hard it is. And I'm so sorry for this man, and that he had to go through all that and feel that way. I truly hope he is doing better.

Nowhere near as much weight of course.. but I lost 100 pounds because I thought this girl would like me if I lost weight.. people treated me so much better but I resented it tbh. It just made me realize how extremely shallow and superficial the world is. People who wouldn't even talk to me were trying to be my friend all of a sudden. Girls flirting with me was honestly annoying. I think I'm just a mysanthrope. After she rejected me and I stopped playing sports I just went back to never exercising

This is so sad. I know this struggle, I was not anywhere near David’s size but I could’ve been. That feeling of going out and having people look at you, so just staying home and giving into the feeling of defeat. I wish you the very best David, I hope you find happiness and health ❤️

lolc2435 I couldn’t imagine. I’ve been on both side of the spectrum. Underweight, and overweight. Due to eating disorders, and medication that made me gain so much weight literally overnight it felt like. I was warned about it, but because I was only 88lbs at the time I NEVER imagined me getting that big ya know? But within 6 months maybe less I had gained over 60lbs. And then from about 150 all the way to 205. And I’m a small girl. 5”3, small bones, small everything. It was a DRASTIC change. I’m now 131lbs and doing so much better. I was dealing with sleep apnea. I’d literally just stop breathing in my sleep. It was such a huge change so fast. I’ve been under 100lbs my whole life. I’m 22 now and like I said 131 which is a great weight for me. I’m off that medication. I was on more than one that caused weight gain. One I’m still on but I just make better choices. I realize I can’t eat how I used to. And I lost all the weight just by changing my diet, and coming off medication. There was no exercise involved at first. Now I do because it’s good for you. But it was all diet. If you just change what you eat, you can lose A LOT of weight. I went from 178 to where I am now just by diet. I couldn’t imagine gaining ALL of that back..after working so hard. It would be devastating.

Plus, it would be way easier to find a fat person who lost weight and regained it (tons of people do lose, and most regain it), than to find 600 pound actor, and keep everyone quiet or risk your show’s popularity. Why not just get a real person who lost and gained (tons of them), and have no risk? No one cares that it HAS to be this guy. Makes no sense to fake it.

When you work out so much with much more little food, your metabolism goes down. And it stays down not matter how much weight you lose.
This is a reason why "the biggest loser" contestants most of the time actually regain all of their weight. It's not their fault, it's the body's
