I understand the shame you feel with thinning hair. But my wonderful hubby’s response to my being upset about my thinning hair and he, bless him, said “ You still love me and I only have one ear (he lost due to cancer), I’ll still love you if you’re bald.” Sweet as that was I still struggle with trying to disguise the thinning.

The great thing about the videos where you talk about your insecurities, is that by putting it out there it helps to heal others. Content like this can even save a life. You are beautiful and I'm so thankful for content like this.
I'm a hairdresser by trade and I see this in the salon pretty often and it's usually thyroid or hormonal. PCOS is often the contributor but there are other conditions that can cause this as well. Please see a doctor if you haven't already because we all want the best for you and your health!
I've had my thyroid and hormones checked many times and they're all normal/healthy!
Thanks for mentioning this! My thinning hair is PCOS related and I have a thyroid issue. Ugh! It is such a pain in the butt.
I had an undiagnosed thyroid condition for many years because some doctors don't know to check T3 and T4 in addition to TSH. If they've only tested for TSH, it might be worth getting the other two checked. Hope you can figure this out!
@@miramira378 exactly. I went undiagnosed for a decade, even though I was suffering many of the symptoms of hypothyroidism. Drs made me feel like I was just crazy or wanted attention. I kept insisting and finally my gyno had me take a thyroid antibody test and it came out positive. Than they found 3 huge nodules in my thyroid. Those didn't just appear out of the blue, they were forming for years.
Yes! It's frustrating that so many doctors are unaware of how to properly diagnose hypothyroidism. I essentially had to diagnose myself and then convince the doctors that I needed treatment. I'm pretty sure they thought I was a hypochondriac the whole time lol.

Will it work for people who have hairloss due to medication? Just curious.
I know my light system will work even if you are still taking the meds, but not as quickly. My lights and the system Cassie has are based on similar technology. Good chance iRestore will work, but may take longer then stated. Try contacting iRestore. iRestore will be able to answer your questions better then I can, as I don't know anything more about that system then what Cassie has shared in this video.

I’m curious about the rest of the head that the treatment isn’t hitting like the sides and back of the head. I lost a lot of hair and has thinned on my temples after having children and don’t want to do transplants because $$$$.

Kennedy Kaiulani I second that. You were even beautiful as a child & still are beautiful! I was a geeky looking kid. (Adulthood was an improvement for me.) Stress & anxiety cause hair loss btw. You'd look great even if you shaved your head.

I have the same hair issue as you and it is terrible. It has made me cry a million times. I had a baby last year and my already thin hair got thinner and half of it fell out. I have been using tape in extensions and topix powder to hide what i can. In a few more years I'll probably just start wearing wigs. I completely understand how devastating it is. I hope this works for you! Just remember you are beautiful no matter what.
You should really check out Lipogaine Big 3 Shampoo and Big 5 Conditioner! You can get them on Amazon. Mine started after my son and then I found out I have hypothyroidism so it was falling out in handfuls! Within a few months it looks like I have bangs I have so much new growth! I'm not losing hair like I was either!

Within this past year I have started to wear wigs because I am really insecure about it, but I am always looking for new products to try and regrow/strengthen my hair. You are awesome Cassie! You have such beautiful 1920s waves that as a hairstylist I try so hard to recreate on my short hair! I have thin hair and I use eye shadow on my part line to make it look less noticeable lol. I have these cowlicks that look like big long bald spots. They annoy me to no end but that's nothing compared to being scared yours could get worse or to have to worry about it at all. Hey Cassie this might be a super personal question but have you ever had a blood panel done and checked all your hormone levels, people in my family have had similar issues and for them it stemmed from hormone and vitamin deficiency!!! I was thinking PCOS too. I have it and have both the acne and hairloss. It's estimated at least 10% of women have it. The hairloss part really sucks :(
A lot of women just have pattern hair loss. Has nothing to do with hormones or vitamins, its just genetics. Nothing will help except for minoxidil or transplants, or treatments like she talks about.
Im the same as her. Ive always had very thin and fine hair. Its been thinning ever since my 20s and theres no medical causes. Its just the same as male pattern hair loss. Lots of females have it too, but we tend to hide it more.

I think you have more confidence than you think, how many people on you-tube do you know that'll share their insecurities as honestly as you do? I don't know many, which is why I LOVE watching you. As for the thin hair, while i don't have thinning hair, my mother does and my hair isn't all that thick so I'm expecting to probably have to deal with thinning hair one day. I understand where you are coming from with the thinning hair. I have long thick hair, but I had after pregnancy some thinning at my temples. Even though all my other hair was still just as thick people still constantly pointed it out to me.

Hiya cassie! Long time watcher, I think you're brilliant and just what CZcams needs more of. I suffer from hair loss too, started as ptsd and now it's a direct link to as stress. As soon as I'm stressed, clumps come out, then it will grow back in, although my hair is naturally very fine and curly like yours. I'm a hairdresser and of course have tried so many things to help my hair, and honestly the best thing I've ever used, and will continue to use is the Invati range from Aveda, it definitely makes a big difference to my hair. Miss Cassie thank you so much for sharing! I started losing my hair when i hit puberty. It was devastating as i had thick natural corkscrew curls that went past my butt. No doctor has been able to explain it. People dont seem to understand that you can dress up & slap on makeup but hair truly "makes" the look. I feel ridiculous cuz theres not enough product in the world to cover being damn near bald. I live in florida & its just too hot for wigs until mid november-early april. I sometimes wear headwraps but they're hot too. It sucks having people stare you up & down or even say "do you have cancer"? Especially when i went through the trouble of dressing up & putting on warpaint😭😭😭
adrienne findley sounds terrible, I feel for you. I live in one of the hottest parts of Australia and wigs and head wraps would have me screaming in distress. I know Florida is muggy and so hot. I always thought if I lost more hair than I have, I’d shave the rest off and get an awesome tattoo.

Sometimes it is just genetic in how much sebum your body produces and def affects your hair follicles. You can try washing your hair with a non drying clarifying shampoo everyday. Excess and continuous sebum production can cause plugs in your hair follicles and cause the hair to fall out a lot easier. Also you would have facial/body acne In this case. I have heard that Anti androgen medications work really well in controlling oil production! Also try not to tie your hair too tightly or up too high in “bun” which pulls on the hair. I have excess oil production and my skin is always oily and breaking out, lately my hair is shedding a lot more than usual. I’ve started collecting all my strands (esp pre/during/post shower) so I can use them to make my own hair extensions! It’s pretty easy to do and free! I just need to get a better dr, mine is a total asshole and never takes my concerns seriously. So frustrating!!
Cassie also have your iron checked. Low iron does make my hair fall. You go girl!

I am very curious bc my Mumsy's hair is very thin and she has always been very GLAM so it does affect her self confidence as well. Last November i got off birth control after being on it for 17 years. My body freaked out. I got eczema all over and my hair started to fall out like crazy. You are stunning and beautiful, but I understand the feelings you have. I don't have female pattern baldness, but due to health issues I had dealt with some major hair loss. I was absolutely devastated when it happened. My hair was so much a part of my identity that my nickname, Fluffy (and that I still get called to this day), was born. When I lost a majority of my hair it just felt like a major blow on top of everything else. So lots of love and good vibes your way on this journey.
