Thanks! This is just the info I was looking for. Today, I looked at Kermit, tried winding it, and felt no resistance at all so I think it was failing to engage too. That little mark or smudge on the bridge would bug me to no end. I won’t be buying one. Such a shame because they’re so beautiful.
Thanks, this is i think first video i did, when all started … then things got worst look for them on my channel, the propilot salmon dial Broke totally, i sent it back- they replaced the movement but managed to misalign the hours and minute hands! At that point i asked for a full watch replacement! It took almost 5 months for all. And i am hearing a lot of similar stories around. The smudge was nothing. Its a pity as its a nice watch and on papers a nice movement yet something is not working well
Mine arrived with the movement running almost 10 seconds fast… per minutes!!! Went directly to Hölstein to drop the watch at service. Went back to me after a week… with the same problem + quite deep scratches on the clasp. Sent it back and still waiting. The told me the watch will be replaced with a new one, and promise me it be sent the next day, then next day, then after a week… the next day again. It’s something going on with this model… and issues are probably more common than we think
I think they are, i was contacted by Oris directly after post, and italian general manager, they excused themselves and promise will replace entire movement in one week time. As the one i have only has the problem of the not engaging gear immediately, i am not sending it to risk months of wait, they might probably do it in a week but it seems only cause i have a channel and can publicly talk about it. Its a pity Oris is rushing to sell and loosing on quality control
@@WatchInTime it didn’t had the problem you had. Next week it will be a month that I’m waiting my replacement watch they promise me. But still nothing ahead… I have to say all contacts I had with Oris were great, but it doesn’t seems to be followed by real actions
I have this same issue but even worse... when I wind the watch I have the same thing where the little switch takes more that a few turns to engage, however when I let go of the crown I can see the barrel unwinding itself. And to top it off I can see a piece of metal loose inside of the case that stops the movement. Super sad because I unboxed the watch with these problems..
Judging from various forums this model seems to have as issues in some cases. I do have an issue with my bronze pro pilot that when increased the crown doesn't properly pop into the winding position takes a turn for it to pop out properly.
@@WatchInTime my ProPilot X is up for sale at a vendor... Nobody wants it. Can't get the original bracelet to fir properly thanks to. The lack of micro adjustment options. Alternative straps are hard to find as contrary to Oris claim the lug width is smaller than 20mm. Plus lugs are really short with a sharp edge on the case, so 19mm curved end straps are the best bet... Great many options... Right?! I deeply regret this purchase.
Bought this watch on October end , within 2 weeks of purchase, the date adjust did not align & when pulled out for time adjustment the second hands were still running, sent the watch back to AD , hopefully I’m expecting a replacement, these kinda issues are unacceptable from a well established company, It’s kinda annoying & saddening to see our new watch go through this
it is, this was my first video - i did 2 after this to update- the salmon stopped workig fully after 3 months - i had to send back to AD, they replaced and commit a mistake alligning hands, finally they replaced with a whole new watch. good CS with Oris directly very gentle and they tried to be fast, yet this should not be happening
Got hands on with it yesterday. Playing around with the movement and the crown does not inspire confidence i must say. All Oris prices need to be discounted for them to make any sense. I love the styling but the quality is highly questionable
@@canadianwatchmonkey3992 well the warranty on this... i wonder why :) is 10 years so yes - after sending it back and waiting for a bit they will get the problem or the movement fiixed
Hi , one problem call to another…. The problem on first release Cal.400 setting the time is minor, some others like mine the watch just stop working. I sent to service and they sent me with Cal.400-2 last sept 2022, but i find this Cal not so accurate, needs more twists to start and also I find an area where the charging axel is slippery and loses engage. All this issues makes longer time waiting now for repairs and also the stress for the factory because the spend money on guarantees works knowing that there is no profit. Maybe all this affects to this Quality Control issues as well…. Greetings from Spain
Thanks for the info. I'll put my purchase on hold.
Actually after 1 month the pink dial broke, its now in oris for movement substitution
just got my grey propilot x yesterday. I see no scratch. thank God. :)
does the charging wheel turn immediatly? with widing?
@@WatchInTime it does :)
My Kermit dial has 3x marks on the dial too. Two black marks on the dial and a hair-line crack in the white paint of one of the markers.

Its a pity have it warranty checked and change it, i am staying away from those calibers and its a pity

Interesting note about the manual winding on the salmon one. Might be another QC issue or with the stem?
I have no idea… i would nerd other movements to see if related to a design issue or quality. It works… yet delays engagement
btw it seems it was, the salmon stopped fully working in blank with no reason after 1 month more or less of this video
At 13:05 the minute hand sits between minutes when the seconds hand is at 60.
One more problem
I have similar problem of the manual winding. Should I bring it back to fix?
they told me it is not normal. so i guess yes, but good luck with 6 months waiting

This puece at a 2000 price point makes sense - want a premium for nice looking movement, 2,500 tops
Does the new caliber 400-2 have the same setting issue as the first ones?
No, that issue seems to have been resolved!
@@WatchInTime so what happens to all those who bought the 400 with the issue? Will it be covered under warranty?

It looks like a scratch that has been painted over to cover it
it is weird indeed, if that was the case, its even worst. They sell the movement, with open caseback and leave a scar o it? its silly.
@@WatchInTime They should've replaced the balance bridge for sure
@@WatchInTime Yeah, someone didn't do their job right somewhere
I like it at the first sign, especially the salmon one, but after watching ur review, i fell so confuse 🫣
After one month us, i will upload a video soon the movement broke and stop working without reason
