A little about me and this channel:
My name is James Aubrey IV and I just recently graduated college from Iowa State University. After college I decided to take a leap of faith. So I moved to San Diego California to pursue my passion for videography/ CZcams. Overall I'm a pretty chill person, outside of CZcams I like to longboard, dance, play video games, lift weights and hangout with my friends. I know that success on CZcams won't happen overnight but I'm willing to stay patient and put in the work to try to prefect my craft daily. This CZcams channel will be centered around my life after college. You will be able to see all of the ups and downs on my journey to success. So if you like the content make sure you subscribe so you can be apart of the Rome Life Family. (Let's build our own personal Rome's together.)
What is the Rome Life ? And What does it mean to be apart of it?
Rome Life is something I started during my Sophomore year of high school (one of the worst times in my life) it started off as me documenting my journey to recovery from my shoulder surgery but eventually it turned into a platform that I could use to encourage myself as well as others to chase our dreams.
Rome Life isn't just a saying it's a way of life and for the people who want to be apart of it have to realize that. Rome wasn't built in a day it took a lot of handwork time and most importantly patience. So you can't expect your dreams to be any different
This is a reaction video used to educated and give my feedback on the song and artist

Madonna -- Like A Prayer
It’s already been done too many times 🤦🏽♂️
@@omargomez1679 That complaint makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
Love Madonna's old stuff boarderline, papa don't preach, lucky star, la Isla bonita, like a prayer just to name a few
Madonna was untouchable from 1984 til about 1994 thru her BLONDE AMBITION TOUR...this video was good but her MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS VOGUE PERFORMANCE WAS EPIC LEGENDARY SET THE STANDARD FOR HOW YOU PERFORM A POP SONG LIVE
Till 2005 henny
Agreed
AGREED
until 2005 ;)
This was absolutely house music sound. The clubs (especially the gay clubs) played it every evening. I never was a big Madonna fan, but tracks like this let her become a gay icon.
There are clubs in NYC where voguing is still happening.
My ex was a Madonna super fan. This clip is from a movie she was in, Slacker. She's the one in the hat.
czcams.com/video/R9f26GUUldE/video.html
@@cici7333 ..i live in Austin....lol
Madonna is LEGEND. Not the worlds best vocalist but as an entertainer she can’t be beat. 💕
And the MESSAGE is so often overlooked. I think everyone should listen to this and Express Yourself
@@brynneholt1990 Facts, I've always liked her music videos that actually conveys a message, papa don't preach is one of them. Also, her performance at Oscar 1991 was phenomenal.
React to Madonna's "INTO THE GROOVE". This was a huge dance hit in the 80s.
YESSSSSS!!!
Right! Into the Groove & Holiday are among biggest dance hits of the 80's.
I agree!
Love that song
I know I'm kinda off topic but does anyone know of a good site to stream new movies online?
Madonna has sold more than 335 million records worldwide and is recognized as the best-selling female recording artist of all time by Guinness World Records.
Madonna has pretty much dominated in the 80s and 90s. If you see how Lady Gaga has been changing her style, that's what Madonna was doing. Not just the music but the style and the clothes. Madonna Express Yourself helped influence Gaga to make Born This Way.
EXACTLY! Madonna was the originator of what we have seen since. She told Dick Clark on American Bandstand (yeah I'm that old😆) that she was going to dominate the world. And she did in the 80s/90s. She's a chameleon. She always killed it with each new look she came out with. But I really wasn't a fan of her TRUE BLUE (album) look. Madonna has a wide, vast catalog. Definitely worth checking out.
I remember seeing that on Bandstand. Course I probably didn't understand Like a Virgin at the time, but I knew it was a catchy song at age 7. 80s, 90s and a little in the 2000s she pretty much dominated. Not so much lately. You mentioned the word chameleon, Annie Lennox fit that role to a tee. And of course, can't forget Cyndi Lauper.
Gaga's biggest influences were David Bowie and Elton John who were both changing their looks and style a decade before Madonna came along
Can’t leave out Queen either. Where she got the Gaga nickname from was one of their songs.
@@willynilly2545 actually Gaga's main influences we're Bowie, Queen and Gaga. It's more apparent she was more influenced with Madonna than Bowie and Queen. Still respect for Gaga
The song “Music”. The production level is sooo high. The synth is unstoppable. Cutting edge for playing in the club big groove
Back when she started, no one would produce her music in the early 80's and they told her she would never get anywhere with it. So she pushed on and did it herself until someone would listen. Look up her accomplishments. She's amazing!
I love that you like the song but it’s so frustrating how you almost didn’t see ANY of the choruses because your eyes were closed or you weren’t looking.
I thought the same thing. He's not even looking at the video. And with Madonna its all about giving good face and style
Yeah I was borderline offended. Watch the damn video. We miss your reaction to it.
This is my favorite of Madonna's. So uptown and classy. Huge hit in the day.
This song was a tidal wave on the club scene in 1990. It really cemented Madonna as an icon. Probably my favorite Madonna song.
Bro, you gotta' react to Madonna's "Like A Prayer" --- the official video. But it's a video you have to actually watch and take in the storyline. You can't be 'dancing' and looking away from the screen, which makes you miss important elements and little clues in the storyline that the video is communicating.
He missed all the vogue moves in this one. Oh well. You’re right about Like a Prayer, but I would say that any of Madonna’s videos. They are so iconic
Yes...Like a Prayer was another Madonna video that was controversial back in the day! I was in college and remember it premiered on TV between shows. People freaked OUT because of the mashup of religious symbols and sexuality potrayed!
Yo let the man dance. I notice the same shit and did a big ass eye roll.
Why “react” if all you’re doing is head bobbing and chair dancing? Just listen to Spotify!
Its not his fault he got infected with Vogue. The lyrics do say "let your body go with the flow" so...he did that thang
Madonna did almost every kind of music style and invented a few. She still does! In her 4th decade!
5th decade now
80s,90s,00s,10s,20s
@@MsLuvmusic81 Almost, when 2020 finally is over, her 5th can you imagine? There will be much more added to her catalog, to begin with her own biopic, which I really look forward to.
The Singles off of Madonna's first album are great. Borderline, Lucky Star, Burning up, and Holiday.
Take A Bow is my favorite Madonna song. And Like A Prayer comes next.
Torrie Zenna Absulutely!
Madonna was constantly evolving and her music is a wide variety of styles. My favorites: Dress You Up, Music, Ray Of Light, Take a Bow.
This is my favorite Madonna song!!! The best is just so UPLIFTING AND MAKES YOUR BLOOD PUMP HARD!!!
Madonna was celebrating Black gay and trans culture’s ballroom scene and “ voguing”. Watch Ru Paul’s Drag Race- which is all about that culture.
You should react her songs Deeper and deeper , Ray of light or Hung up... all those songs will make you dance...
Madonna songs to react to: Like A Virgin, Lucky Star, Borderline, Papa Don't Preach, Live To Tell and Into The Groove!
She did a really nice cover of Fever I haven't seen anyone else react to.
Be cool if you watched and reacted to the video as well, since she's one of the most important visual artists ever.
If you like dance music, check out these big hits of the 80s:
Into the Groove - Madonna
Let the Music Play - Shannon
Show Me - Cover Girls
Point of No Return - Expose
Come Go With Me - Expose
Dreaming - Will To Power
Gonna Make You Sweat - C&C Music Factory
The Power - Snap!
Rhythm is A Dancer - Snap! (90s)
Pump Up the Jam - Technotronic
Last Train to Transcentral - The KLF (1991)
There are so much more. Way too much to list. But here's just a sample.
Yes.
I was 15 when this song came out and it really felt like it was *the* track to usher in the 1990s.
Check out "She Drives Me Crazy" by Fine Young Cannibals and also "Freedom 90!" by George Michael
Fine young cannibals a good pick.
Voguing was a dance style born in the underground gay clubs in New York where they would dance imitating poses from magazine covers. Madonna took those dancers and put them in the spotlight bringing voguing to the mainstream. That's why Vogue is such a gay anthem and a cultural icon.
Now you must react to her video "Human Nature". You MUST!
This is THE song most will remember...the first on most people's madonna list. This is the one. It was number 1 on the dance charts and at the dance clubs forever. It never left. Nobody wanted it to.
Other great Madonna songs:
Like a prayer
Into the Groove
La Isla Bonita
Like a Virgin
Papa don't preach
Express yourself
Holiday
Ray of Light
Music
Open your heart
Borderline
Live to tell
Frozen
More Madonna please. Try Human Nature, Like A Prayer, Erotica and Bitch I’m Madonna. Thanks!
Human Nature and Erotica my 2 favorites.
You should watch Madonnas opening of her Blonde Ambition tour video from the movie, Truth or Dare, Express Yourself! She was the first artist to put on a real show!
Madonna does EVERYTHING...tons and tons of songs...
Great reaction. I thoroughly enjoyed it. You have a great speaking voice and I enjoy the quality of your sentences. Thank you. Madonna is the indisputable Queen of Pop, even in today’s standards. She was on top of the world when this video came out. I highly recommend you check out Like a Prayer, Human Nature. It Frozen :)
masterpiece have heard it many many times..never gets old
Madonna's Sooner or Later performance at the 1991 Oscars is a must see in my opinion.
"Gimme!Gimme!Gimme! " by Abba.
Madonna was huge in every decade since the 80's. So many different eras and something for everyone, dude. You need to do more reactions!!!!!
Madonna. EXPRESS YOURSELF. Will knock your socks off. On second thought you’re ready for JUSTIFY MY LOVE.......go on.
This one is my personal favorite from Madonna. Other favs are True Blue, Live to Tell, Papa Don't Preach, and La Isla Bonita :) Just a beautifully shot film and a great song. Thanks for sharing!
Madonna was part of my growing up. I love her music.
cool Rome Life more Madonna videos :) I LOVE Madonna Music and videos :) get up on the dance floor and vogue and get in to the groove for the music makes the people come together yeahhhhh :)
This signature song she performed live many times with different themes. This song is from 1990 and still holds up 30 years later. Take a look at her Super Bowl performance from 2012 with Vogue as the opener.
I think that was the best super bowl performance everrr!
Madonna was amazing, she had a lot of dance hits. she ruled the 80s and 90s, and evening had some hits in the 2000s. she’s pretty much a pop icon.
Celebrate is another good one from her. ❤️ ty
Holiday is the song title... Celebrate
your reaction to the queen of Pop was very entertaining, had to smile while watching you groove, cheers!!!
You should also watch her VMA performance in 1990.
Love Madonna, millions and millions around the entire planet do. Greatest selling female artist of all time! Highest grossing female tour of all time!! Keep reacting to her and your subscribers will greatly increase. With that being said. 1990 or 1991 she went to the Oscars with Michael Jackson and performed one of the most iconic performances that show has EVER EVER SEEN! Sooner or later live at the oscars you have to have to have to react to it!!
RAY OF LIGHT!
Omg!! This 50yr old OG Grandma loved watching you watch Madonna!! Rome Life ❤
Oh hontey! That is just the tip of the iceberg!! Keep going , Madonna is EVERYTHING 💙👍
We had soooo much fun striking poses on the dance floor to this song.
i hope you watch it again on your own. You missed most of the actual voguing!
Try Billy Joel. More Madonna hits: Cherish, Deeper and Deeper.
My favourite of her dance videos was "Open Your Heart." Her '80s work and early '90s had some amazing dance songs.
She has TONS of good songs and one of the most influential performers of the last 40 years. Madonna pushed the boundaries, tackled at the time taboo subject matter, was innovative, and continually re-invented herself. She put out hits consistently for about 15 years. That's very hard to do. Dance was a big part of what she did so a lot of will probably appeal to you.
Recommending Kate Bush as an artist. Of her songs This Women’s Work and Babooshka
Yes.
Fun reaction!! New sub here!! But just wish you’d watch some of the video lol
Totally love that you started "vogueing" by the end of the video!! Definitely one of my favorite Madonna songs of all time!!
Vogue was Fire, Vogue IS Fire, Vogue will always BE, FIRE.
Favorite Madonna song Express Yourself.
Favorite band on the planet KISS, Try I Stole Your Love or Hard Luck Woman, most known song Rock N Roll All Night. My favorite is I Still Love You from their MTV Unplugged best vocal.
Enjoyed watching you react to this. However, you should watch again and take in the whole video. Next up you might try her Like A Prayer and Justify My Love videos. Both are incredible.
Madonna owned the 80s
This song is from the early 90s, another big decade for Madonna
Ray of Light!!!!!
Madonna ray of light
I like the way you are losing yourself in the rhythm of the music. This song will make you do that. One of my friends would always start voguing whenever she heard this song! Other times she just sang it herself just so she could vogue! 😆 Great times!!! Great Memories! Thanks for this video. 🙂
Yaaaaaassssss. Weeeeerk !!!!
Rome was busting out the moves, chiLe
Ray of Light My all time favorite
1st song of hers I heard when I was a kid on the radio was HOLIDAY and to this day it's still my favorite.
Love Madonna! Another to listen to is Kenny Thomas - Outstanding. My favourite dance song, ever. Also, the Beatles - I saw her standing there. I dare you not to dance to that one, haha.
Very very very very very big hit back in 1990!!!!A Madonna Masterpiece!
Definitely check out Madonna’s video for Justify My Love...written by and backing vocals from Lenny Kravitz. In the early 90s...the video was so suggestive that it was banned by MTV. We had to watch the old news show Nightline after the late news to see it because it was so controversial...really!
Madonna ‘Human Nature ‘ ‘ Nothing Really Matters ‘ ‘ Hung Up’ ‘ Holiday ‘ to name a few 👑👑👑
Keep up with Madonna
Her catalog is so vast and iconic 👑 👑 👑
I love this song and the incredible video. Thank you for the Vogue reaction!!
"Someday we'll be together" by Diana Ross and the Supremes
I'm not a fan of Madonna, but this is, in my opinion, her best song. I like this song too.
I like Madonna's "Frozen"
You ..must realize that Madonna was a dancer before she sang....I love her music because each song ..album is so different from the last
and.....she is very self transformative throughout her career.....must check out all albums up until now to really appreciate who she was and is as an artist....lyricist....singer dancer...she even wrote some childrens books and did some directing and acting......enjoyed your reaction...love thanks and appreciation!!!! xxxx00000 for more great beats try Hard Candy album or Confessions on a Dance floor Album
Madonna's got pleeeenty of heat like that, trust. Look for her video "Human Nature". You'll really like it. I guarantee!!
Mate, I literally just been dancing with you on Vogue X quality video you done. I'm hooked
You've never heard or seen Madonna before?! the Queen of Pop! Check out Into The Groove, Open Your Heart, Papa Don't Preach, La Isla Bonita, Like A Prayer, Take A Bow, Music, Hung Up, Ghosttown and many more
Always love this...Thanks for sharing...Glad to be a subscriber
React to Madonna - Express Yourself
If you must react to EY 1989 VMAs is where it’s at!!!
Love this song and video! Thanks for reacting to it.
Madonna is iconic! 💕💕💕
React to Madonna Expressyourself, Get in the groove , where's the party, Living for love :) i love Madonna classic music and videos from 1980's all the way to to now :)
More Madonna please
1. Like A Prayer
2. Music
3. Hung Up

"Human Nature", Madonna
This song makes everyone wanna vogue in the street back in 1990!
Material Girl will always be the quintessential Madonna song to me.
Like a prayer.
Papa Don’t Preach; Crazy for You is my all time fave...
I love your reactions, please more Madonna!! Like a Prayer!!
Like A Prayer, Papa Don't Preach, Express Yourself, just a few more great songs and videos by her
Hung Up most of her stuff is dance! Everybody is old but really good but hung up is lit!!!
Were you asking if Madonna was the first "City Girl" or "Cindy Girl"?
There is a singer that sounds similar to Madonna called Cyndi Lauper. One of her hits is "Girls Just Want to Have Fun". They had similar voices, themes, and styles at the same time.
The one and only.... Madonna. 👍🏽
She is known as the Queen of Pop.
Like a prayer. Voguing came from the NYC underground ball scene. The show "Pose" which is on Netflix's now. It is set against the Ballroom scene
