Some may say this track is too simple and not heavy enough but in actual fact the heaviness is somehow hidden behind the melodic layer. Personally I love Gojira creating this kind of stuff. I close my eyes and Gojira takes me for a spiritual journey. Their tracks are often emotionally heavy and it's one of the reasons that makes this four men my favourites. I was one of those people. I think it's more that the whole thing is generally a bit more simple. Guitars, drums, and song structure. I know what they're capable of though so it's clear this is intentional from them and simply a direction they wanted to go in. And why not.
However, the song has grown on me a lot and I feel it also goes perfectly with the video and concept. Just took me a minute to get used to this style. Looking forward to their album.
@@sonsofbiscuits1 yeah. Exactly like you said. I would add that these kind of melodic tracks can be more audible to newcomers. Imo starting from Another World and for example Magma and then going back to the previous albums is extremely satisfying. Gojira is an incredible band đ€

the song got criticism for being very simple , not very heavy because obviously people expect to have the Gojira from 2001-2010 period )..but to me gojira just enjoy playing simpler ( which is not actually easy to do , finding good riffs who carry an entire song ,i remember having the same feeling for "stranded" but in the end it grows in you ) ,they don't have to proove anything , they just evolved in that direction ,Joe is in his 40's now , he said that he doesn't see himself doing death metal like when they were in their 20's ,they did that during 20 years , so yeah ,it's understandable that they go in that direction , regarding the video the combination with the song and the animation deliver a strong message.it's very well done , looking forward to the album.

They found the world where nature won and humans lost... It really makes you think about shit that we do to this planet, so at one point it will get ridd of us eventually and WIN... So strong..
