The Art Of Dying is such a fantastic song. I also really like From The Sky and Space Time. One issue I have with Gojira (which only applies to me) is that I've related it to some people I used to be friends wkth who later became quite horrible to me, so the band is kind of difficult for me to listen to at the moment. I think I might start getting back into them though :D

I think their best songs would be stuff like Flying Whales or Stranded, I personally love Amazonia and would place it above Stranded but I know people would think differently
Edit: wow I’m wrong, listened to more and I’ve expanded my range to every album, I can say that their best songs are things like Ocean Planet, Art of Dying, Backbone, L’Enfaunt Savauge, Clone, Flying Whales, Ouroboros, Born In Winter, Stranded, Explosia, Only Pain, Wisdom Comes and Silvera, so yeah if you plan on listening to Gojira these are worth a listen, so is Embrace the World

Absolute great song! The whole Fortitude album is really, really good!
7:00 They actually travelled forward in time and, instead of finding "another world", they ended up coming back to where they started. I guess their message is that we shouldn't look for "another place to be", but take care of our Earth, which is in line with their environmental stance.

I like how half of the time Shred is invested in the story.
Another World is among my top favourite from Gojira's catalogue. Everything about the song is a bit minimalistic but they pulled it off so damn good.
Also, they didn't travel back in time. They travel _forward_ in time when Earth is finally consumed by Mother Nature. It's like a saying that no matter how far you will go, no matter how long you have gone, you will always return home.

How about Overkill’s Elimination or Annihialtor’s Crsytal Ann/Allison hell. In my opinion they’re one of the most underrated thrash metal bands alongside with Exodus and few more. And Annihilator, even though i love thrash, Annihilator really isn’t like any other thrash band, they aren’t only about those fast termolo and powerchords ( which i love) , i would call them progressive thrash, their debut is in my opinion one of the finest (thrash) metal records out there and so is Overkill’s Years of decay

This was one of my favourite songs awaiting their album release. But i feel that it's not a true dedication to them as artists. I imagine if this song was introduced by any other band, it would simply be an amazing creation. It's one of those tracks that'll be a testatment to the positbilities of human creation, but not like the equivalent of a Mona Lisa. Simply a great song almost mainstream...esk. has that hit vibe, but doens't hit that Gojira specific sound. You know who a song is by, even if you don't look. Some songs just sit that way.

Even if The Way Of All Flesh has great songs in it, they started there to switch to an other feeling in their songs that I never really liked, where the previous albums were raw and brutal.
L'enfant Sauvage, Magma and here Fortitude were more and more disappointing to me, I don't recognize anymore the band I liked so much and saw live so many times between 2001 and 2015... (yep, living at the french border makes them a local band in my heart haha)
