Niacinamide, cojic acid and retinoids
Thanks and I agree, as I have used a product that is well rounded and it has worked in terms of giving a brighter looking skin and removing dullness but it didn’t solve my hyperpigmentation issue. In most cases these products are expensive and take a bit longer to work.
The main reason we run back to the individual acids, is because they are reasonable in price and in most cases results are quicker.

My stunning daughter, inside and out :), has a hard time with skin care and makeup tips when she talks with her friends about what they use, she will try the recommended products but they just don’t do the same thing for her as they do for her friends. Ma,you recently did a CZcams video and listed some moisturizers for oily skin. You included Cetaphil.
My question is;
Cera Ve ( claims to have)SPF, is oil free, has ceramides and all the goodies for an oily skin but you didn’t mention it. Why do you prefer Cetaphil?

Lol .. I didn’t say I preferred either . There are also other good moisturizers that are not cetaphil or cerave . I just list cetaphil oil free hydrating lotion as a good one for oily skin . Also I wasn’t listing sunscreens. I was listing plain moisturizers.

@@ebeleokechukwu3103 same principle applies the only issue is I don’t know of body products that actually have these ingredients. It’s a huge gap in the market. But if you just have defined spots , you can get Palmers fade cream and use ONLY on areas affected ( it has hydroquinone) . Please watch my video on treatment of hyperpigmentation to understand how hydroquinone is used

@@AmakaTina retinoids in general. I've done retinoic acid and quit because of irritation. Downgraded to retinol and irritation persisted. 🤦🏾♂️ I don't even want to think of downgrading further as I low key feel like I'll be wasting money as irritation will still occur😩

The irritation sef doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that it makes my skin go red then dark which is counterproductive as my main goal with it was to fix hyperpigmentation.
I've since stopped retinoids and I'm seeing marked improvement in hyperpigmentation.
So my new goal is anti-aging 😁.
