Do you think a Nintendo Switch Lite is worth it? đ€
It's a worse expensive ds
No
No, if your joycons drift, you lose the whole console!
@@roaringlions7252 yeah I just now realized that now that you say that
Yes itâs def worth it.
What i got from this.
Reasons you should buy the switch lite:
1. To avoid spending 300 dollars
2. To avoid spending three hundred bucks
3. To avoid spending $300
They just spelling fact
Fax
4. To avoid spending 30 thousand pennies
Reason 5 Don't.
you could also just buy a 2d hand just saying most people are selling them not for 300 dollars and you could look for a new one just saying
I actually recommend the switch lite if you donât plan on playing the switch on the tv or if youâre always moving around, makes life a lot easier
I use my switch as a backup for when my PC goes down, I have apex and Fortnite on my OLED, my friend plays that on lite, let's say I am surprised it hasn't exploded yet
â@@Professional_D_Point_Attackerfun fact
All 3 switches have the same processers
The thing that changes is the screen
It doesn't mean the fps changes
Totk runs at 30fps on all 3 switches
fuckin awesom thanks manâ@@Exsterp8746
I think owning two switches is a little crazy. Kind of like owning more than one phone for the same person
I have two phones, one as a main phone and one as a backup if the other one breaks
Owning two Gameboys/DS has been absolutely mandatory for PokĂ©mon fans before the ability to easily trade PokĂ©mon online was included. đââïž
@@minefreund When you put it that way. That does make sence
@@LRM12o8 I don't play pokemon, but I think I understand that
Itâs mandatory if you have friends and kids and a partner and want to play online multiplayer games together
I got one as my first switch, all I was going to use it for was when we are going somewhere, so I dont really need to connect it to the tv anyway.
That makes sense! Thanks so much for watching! :)
â@@EmSwizzle I'm inside your walls
Same reason why I bought it as my only Switch
oh my lord its terry đ± didnt expect to see ya here
Same reason I have a switch lite and a controller I use for it lolđ€·đżââïžsuits me just fine
Bought a switch lite (my first switch) a couple months ago and I love it! Only thing itâs missing in my book is a kickstand of some sort but a $10 stand I bought off amazon fixed that.
Why you need a pickstand for a exclusively hand held console
@@jeremybottoms7619 Cause I got a pro controller so I would be able to play games like 3d all stars and oddessy.
@@timetrvlrmstr a pro controller Still works on the light?
@@jeremybottoms7619 ja it's a nice change from the on console controls
my first switch was the switch lite coral and iâm happy :) i was a dsi and 3ds kid and those were my favorite systems i always loved being able to play video games during trips or just in public. and the small light design of the lite gives me that dsi nostalgia lol i never cared much for using it on the tv since thatâs what my xbox is for
Haha thatâs so awesome! Thanks so much for watching! đ
I definitely agree on the if itâs your second switch grab one up but definitely get the regular switch for your first switch. Donât get me wrong. I start it with a switch lite but eventually I upgraded to a switch OLED. Itâs just a better experience but I think I would get another switch lite just so I donât have to bring my Nintendo switch OLED everywhere I go and I could keep it safe at home
Start with a regular switch then get a steam deck.
100%! Thanks so much for watching! đ
@@neonblue1649 Correction: Start with a stem deck then you got a PC

Dont forget portability, i got one for my brother and he loves being able to just pocket it
He have some big pockets
he must love joycon drift too
â@@Spxrk0300 I was thinking that too
â@@Spxrk0300 does those build in joycons drift?
@@jeremybottoms7619 Yes, all nintendo joycons drift, even the ones on the lite
It mostly depends on your mobile status. If you're out and about, the lite is the best option, if you play at home with co-op multiplayer then the regular or OLED is for you
If you are at home to play games why get an oled since the only difference between an oled and a normal switch is the screen
i sold my switch oled to buy the lite i have more fun playing with the lite i dont know why.. sometimes you need less
Everyone: but the switch lite has an actual d pad!
Man this video was posted too late đđ
I have a Lite and I definitely think I should've got a regular Switch
I wanted a Switch lite so I just used tape to make my joycons more Ridgid so it's like a Lite XL
I just got bought a couple months ago , I knew I wouldn't use it in docked mode anyway and I love it I'm hoping for Christmas I get some games for it
My guy so broke he had to get a slightly smaller and lighter and worse switch
I wanted the light and I and it's not worse, I played on both and liked the lite better
@@leantrap9053 stop being a dick + isnât having a lighter switch very useful, or am i wrong here? + they now has more money for games
I bought the lite thinking that I won't be docking it. Am I so wrong... It's always good to have that option. However, I bought the lite while I was travelling so if you travel a lot, then yes, it's worth it. Although any switch is also possible, the lite is super light so it doesn't strain your hands while playing for a long period. But if there's any possibility of docking, even just 1% of the chance, rather but the normal switch to have that option as well.
My switch broke recently (luckily I could save my files) and since I never used it in Dock mode I replaced it with a lite. Looking good so far!
Until 5 minutes later when your joycons drift and you canât replace them
You cannot have certain games with lite
@@skelyz 1-2-Switch and what else? Ring Fit Adventure?
@@InsanePlaysYTOfficial i never heard of a joycon drift case on a lite

I got a lite one as my first Switch because I love portability, I almost never play anything on the TV, and its cheaper so is a win win for me.
i love how u gave the same answer twice đ đ
You forgot reason 3, so you don't have to share with a sibling.
I didn't get to choose, I got rhe swit h lite as a Christmas present. Still thankful for it, but I would prefer a normal switch
its the same thing its just the normal one connects to the tv and can take off the joycons
@@youssefasfour1089 it is not the same thing. The switch lite has less storage, a smaller screen, lowered performance and battery life, etc. Look at the specs
Also if you want a smaller screen and no taking off joycons for 100$ less then yeah Get it. if you still want those then get OLED or regular switch
Should you bu-
*no.*
But i didnt even sa-
*no.*
Imo it's definitely worth picking up. I love using my lite
Iâm looking at an oled.
Good buy
i just cannot use a lite. Its too small for my hands
i hate the buttons on it too soft for my liking plus i tried playing a rhythm game on it and it was horrible but overall it ain't that bad i gave it to my niece and plan on getting her animal crossing
The switch and oled have better graphics when on the big screen.
Pro tip: If you want to get a switch lite but also a pair of joy cons, you'll need to spend $280 if they are official joy cons, and you also need something to charge them, so you'll actually end up spending more the the regular switch.
I really wanted one for chirstmas, so my parents said they would help me to buy it, until we saw it was really much cheaper to buy it lite, it was kinda sad that a lot of the features i liked of the original werent there, but it's still a switch, and it fits in my pockets so its really easy to carry around lol
To be honest, i just donât like playing on a TV, and I like the portability.
I kinda donât really get having a lite unless you really donât want it to be dockable. The whole point of the switch is that itâs portable and can be used on the tv
I got a grey lite, it's sleek.. I've just come off the back of playing New 3DS so handheld is just how I experience gaming now for the most part.. I never enjoyed the red and blue look of that original switch personally but the white OLED looking style is nice .. sometimes the best device is the one you have on you at the time I suppose, I'm pretty happy with the lite though
I got a switch with grey Joy-Cons and it looks pretty good. I also don't like the red and blue colors on the switch, it just looks off to me.
Side note: coming off of a DS Lite, the switch lite is easier to adjust to.
Iâll be getting a switch lite for 2 reasons thatâs
1 itâs low in price
2nd I prefer for hand held gaming more than playing in a normal switch because I came from 3DS
You can find a switch locally with a dock charger and controller for like 170-180 on Facebook market just ask for photos
I have a normal switch amd a switch lite and it has been the best gaming experience i ever had. Just how you said having two animal crossing islands and sharing nintendo online is just great. I highly recommend buying it:)
I prefer handheld only consoles thatâs why I got the lite
I got it for Christmas a a few years ago and Iâve been enjoying it a lot. I just saw a new switch released and I did barely any research before asking for it. I should got the normal switch đ€Šââïž
Pov: You have a nintendo switch lite and not a regular one
My brother sold me his old switch from 2018 for $100 last Christmas. I'm pretty satisfied with that.
The switch light feels better to hold than the normal one, no wobbly joy cons too
Hi EmSwizzle!
Hi there! :)
I have a teal switch lite. I've had it since 2020 when the pandemic was going on. It was the first thing I got with my first stimulus check. It was the last switch on the shelf at the time so it was my lucky day. My switch lite is decorated in pink. I have a pink snap on cover with white flowers, white thumb grips with pink flowers to match and a pink dust plug charm to complete the pink aesthetic. I got a little dock to match my switch since you can't dock a switch lite like you can a regular switch or the OLED.
I have the lite and the oled âš
Couldn't agree more, especially since I find the Switch to not really be a handheld console. Yes, you can play it anywhere, so it sure is a mobile console, but it's just too big and especially too wide to comfortably play it while lying in bed, which is by far my favorite / the most comfortable way to play on a handheld console.
Since the Switch Lite isn't that much smaller, I suppose it has the same problem, meaning you'll mostly play it sitting in a chair with the awkward choice to either hold it up to your face or place it down on a table, meaning you'll either have to keep your arms in the air or hang your head low for extended periods of time, both of which can quickly get uncomfortable, the latter can even cause neck and back pain.
I only have the lite, not a big nintendo gamer like i used to, more of first person shooter xbox playstation player but here and there i do love playing nintendo games
For me it's actually my first switch I got it from my 10th birthday i smiled after I saw the box and it was the happiest day of my life :)
Him when he realizes you can bring the other switch on the go too:
The difference is some may once one cheaper and more portable for exclusively on the go
i got the lite for my first switch and i love it bc i like to do mobile gaming. I play all my other games on my console on the TV so I really don't want to use it with my TV anyway. it's a great investment and I happened to get a limited edition color while it was on sale and it's one of my fav purchases ever. reminds me of the lovely and simple nitendo DSI days đ„°
What I learned: This guy doesnât know the switch is portable
I want to get this because the low price, the vibrant colours and the fact that i hate when my joycons just randomly slide out when im not putting that much pressure on them. And also because i dont enjoy playing on TV as much
I'm getting the switch lite because I never really play my current switch on the TV the only time I play on the TV is for Nintendo switch sports
It will be my first switch because i dont want to play it on the tv, i just want the portable aspects of it.
I've had the switch lite as my first switch and no complaints it was extraordinary the only setback was storage but getting a sd card fixed that instantly, having a normal switch just felt bulky and at times uncomfortable except when the joy cons were being held without the console.
I just got my kid a lite for Christmas, she talked me into buying one so we can play Mario cart together.
Normally I would buy the oled but I am divorced parent and when she is not with me but still wants to play together we can online. â€â€
switch lite was my first switch and i used it just to get back into nintendo games and i love it itâs so simple and i prefer handheld over a tv so i like it a lot
Honestly the only reason I would get a Switch Lite is so I can play my games in handheld mode without the Left Joycon drift constantly interrupting me.
when the joycons start drifting on the switch lite
3 reasons you should buy a Nintendo Wii:
-free online via wiimmfi
-CTGP-R and other mods that can already add MK8D tracks
-Can play DVDs via homebrew, and can also play videos off USB, Network, or SD cards.
Iâm a kid and my family has a normal switch for us to share and we each have lite switches that we can use whenever
Bruh you don't need two switches đ€Łđ
In my opinion lite is better because all the extra stuff you get is tv playing and detachable joy cons and itâs cheaper and more portable plus you can always buy yourself a separate controller
My first switch is the lite and I love it
I bought the Lite as my first Switch, and I'm happy with it. I never would have used Docked mode anyway
I still miss 3ds series
I only play in handheld mode and I am mostly into JRPGs, single player experiences. I hardly use my TV at all, and the Switch is really heavy. The Switch Light is so much better to hold. The only caveat I know is that it's hard to play games that require a claw grip like with CrossCode. I have big gorilla hands however, so this might be a problem unique to me.
If a stand is a concern to you, there are many ways to make your own stand or buy one online. If you have a 3D printer, printing a stand is the easiest option for you.
Thx I needed this video
And 1 year ago i made the mistake of buying the switch lite first and i need to somehow someway convince my parents to get me the og switch
I bought it and I wish I got an original switch - I really miss local coop.
I know plenty of people who donât play their original Switch on tv at all, tho
Basically, the Switch Lite have joycons that are attached to the Switch, so you can't really play multiplayer unless you buy brand new joycons, which doesn't really make sense because you're going to pay the full price if you buy the joycons (also if it drifts or stop working you'll have to buy separate joycons)
And also because of the TV feature, as he said
I will say, the buttons on this thing is way better than the og switch. It's also good for small hands.
It feels illegal to be this early
Haha, thanks so much for watching! :)
as someone whit small hands i love it
Switch lite for sure cause it looks nice and extremely portable and i donât really about connecting with me screen and taking out the controllers
Despite the fact my switch lite IS my second one, i use it more just because its so modest and simple. actually appreciate the mushy buttons and for some reason LOVE the triggers. (Not the d-pad tho) And its super comfortable to hold.
I would recommend getting the switch lite if you have like a PlayStation or an Xbox so that when youâre going places like on trips and you want to keep playing with a video game you can have a portable system I donât think you should pay for the OLED or because I think youâre just be paying more money for something you wouldnât use if you already have a PlayStation or Xbox
To me, the Switch Lite is worh it. My ex-girlfriend has a normal Switch and even when we were together I used the Switch in Handheld Mode like 99% of the time. Yeah, I played Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey and so on in Handheld Mode. Therefore it was a no brainer to get my hands on a Switch Lite as my own Switch and I love it.
I got a switch lite because it was the cheaper option and that I can get it in pink! Also I get headaches and back aches playing video games on tv for some reason so Iâm able to play handhelds longer preferably. Iâve owned my switch lite for 2 years now and havenât had any issues! Unlike having to spend 50 for new joy cons which Iâm glad I donât have to deal with. đ
I got the switch lite for my birthday and I gave to say if you are on a lower budget for your first switch I say get the light
Also, an OLED switch is better if you play handheld mode more often.
Also,, switch those joycons for something else, personally recommend Hori Split Pros, despite the lack of rumble.
You can sacrifice 2 games for an upgrade to a normal switch. a year after that you'll be glad you did that, so I don't think it comes down to money.
3/2ds are goated for road trips (even if they dont have that much of battery)
tbh, i have both, a nintendo switch and a switch lite. both first edition, so i cant talk about switch revisions. but i really only play on the switch lite, bc i barely ever play in docked mode, and just prefere the weight and buttons of the switch lite a lot!
I have the same colored switch lite, that you show at the start of the video
Nintendo Missed the Opportunity to call the Lite the Nintendo LITE Switch
If I wanted to play games on the TV I'd get a PS5, if I wanted to play games on the go I'd get a switch lite
Honestly, if the joysticks don't drift on the switch lite then it's a good deal. Nintendo switches are notorious for having their joycons drift after like a year, and if that happens to the switch lite then that's very bad as on the switch you can just replace the joycons and you would be ok, but for the switch lite you would either have to replace the joysticks yourself or replace the whole device. If the joysticks quality is good I think it's honestly not that bad of a deal. I don't think playing on the tv is essential to a switch's experience (maybe for certain games) and I also don't think having the joycons be inbuilt is that bad either.
i rlly need the switch lite we always go outside
I could also see one more reason for having a switch light which is having a switch late for a kid if the kid does not play the switch in docked mode that for a young kid I could see that being useful
How to get more savefiles on games:
Make more accounts.
Not sure if this works for Animal Crossing as I don't own it but this works for every game I have tried.
Iâm one. Ima cheapskate. Also broke
Don't get the switch light. If it gets joycoj drift there's no going back.
i prefer the normal switch of course, but I'd say you should buy a lite if you are on lower budget or if you want a second one, but i personally don't need a second switch and ive been using the same switch since 2017 or 2018 christmas.
I think it would have been better if I had gotten the Switch Lite instead of the normal one since I only use the Switch in handheld mode
My switch is a hand-me-down from my little sister and it is Pink she thought it was not going to charge it had charging problems but it just needed to be q-tipped. . Lol. I'd love to be able to play on the TV...
Ngl I got mines for free because my local card/video game shop was emptying out there games and I know the owner so I was helping out and in return he gave me a used Nintendo switch lite with a broken fan đ.also I working in the Chinese sweat shops
Switch lite for portable, regular switch for docked mode. Main reason the regular switch in portable mode is terrible is because the joycons suck especially when they easily get joycon drift
The tv I own is small so I have a Lite. I donât need the docking function and I donât ever get together with people to play video games. Eventually Iâll probably get a normal Switch but the Lite works perfectly for me right now
I started out with a Switch Lite but was forced to update to a regular Switch after I got drift
Honestly, if you want more Save slots, just make another profile.
