This "Foggy Day" is one of Sarah's epic performances. It's devastatingly gorgeous, especially with MTT's sensitive orchestral arrangement. Thank you, thank you all. And special thanks, Mr. Alves for preserving the ovation at the end of this concert. That audience was justifiably blown away.
I have been looking for this version of Foggy Day for years. I had a cassette and it dried up. I love Sarah so much. I remember singing "Can't take that away from me when I was 8 or 9 years old, maybe younger; I am now 67 and I still sing it. Sassy is the greatest of all time.

Fooogggy, fooooggy, a foooggy day...you can actually feel the fogginess of London by Sassy's phrasing. AMAZING!!! We'll never see her like again.

One of my favorites of Ms Vaughan The orchestral arrangement takes your emotions and ears on a trip that added to Sarah's unique vocal interpretation leaves you breathless!!!
When I listen to the Great Sarah Vaughan here, I envision a beautiful butterfly soaring through the air on a summers day - her vibratto takes me on a journey of highs and lows as the orchestra backs her like the winds' gentle breeze. She always keeps me wanting more & more - I could listen to her all day. Thank you, Mrs. Vaughan, for leaving us such a beautiful body of work. Simply breathless . . .
