If you could save one of these, which one would it be ? ....Personally I want to save the mansion !!
The opel gt!
Bmw 2002
2002ti
Get a architect to draw up blueprints for the mansion. Just to have it
Save the 2002 and the GTi
Opel gt 😍
That BMW 2002tii is incredible and brought back memories. I had one that I had started restoring but had to give up due to cash flow, and losing storage/work space. Mine was a 1972 in Inka Orange. It is fun that you pointed out the tail lights, the most desirable 2002's were the "Roundies" which for the 2002tii was only the model years 1971, 1972, and 1973.
It's an early US spec 2002, tii never made it to north America they were bosch Mechanical fuel injection for US market on all 2002s , virtually every German car had Bosch Mechanical injection in 70s, in North America the entry level model Mk1 Golf's were 1800cc with bosch Mechanical injection, in Europe we got 1100cc carb model entry level.
How much was The price for 2002tii? Nice to know it🔥
Very cool, I would restore the Opel GT but those Jags really would be cool to do as well.😊
I've taken on 3 similarly abandoned projects. One was an old Ducati so a fraction of the work. They are the hardest to come to terms with selling. I never go the money back that I put in, but those 3 vehicles are now in the hands of true enthusiasts, so I feel I did my part for motoring history keeping them alive.
That 155, always been a hero car for me
Hurts to see amazing cars like these
Absolutely, they ain't going to last long outside in this climate, some are beyond saving, but some could, and should, be saved ASAP
I reckon a Jag resto would be great. There's enough there to build a good one. Shame to see so many great cars and a lovely house rotting away. Thanks for showing us around!
Every single one of them will have rotted in all the same places. Doubt you could make half a decent one from what’s is there. A crying shame for sure.
Videos like these make me sad, seeing all those cars rotting away, so unfortunate. Can't wait for BBI content 🤙🏻
Yeah and these people say they are car enthusiasts is just so sad
They make me happy that someone saved them rather than sending to the crusher. There’s a lot of pleasure in yard art.
Some cool stuff there. That red Audi coupe tickled my fancy 😉
Get Sreten (M539 Restorations) that 2002ti he’s a BMW guru
I’d love that 2002ti for myself I’ve always loved those cars
The Jaguar coupe would be great. Speak to Harry Metcalfe on Harry’s garage as he’s got one that he’s restored 🚒🇬🇧👍
Cant believe that you, as a Ferrari man, completely blanked the wide arched Alfa 155, which looked like a Q4!
I know.... way to many cars to share in one video !
One of those S90s would be my pick. Absolute tank of a car, and fully loaded with absolutely everything you could get on a car in the 90s.
When someone say. " They plan on restoring it at some point" General means it will never happen..
I have experience with that LOL
Too bad he didn't give it to Scott to restore.
Yea and they won't sell it. Madness
You are soooo correct fella 👍
Some one needs to start applying for log books for these cars!
Love the Opel GT and the BMW 2000
AHHH!!!! DO IT DO IT RATAROSSA DO IT!! please??! (I mean the BMW 2002 tii).
12:24 alfa 155 q4 widebody... This is best 155 ever
That was an amazing walk. The volume of cool cars was surreal. It killed me that you flashed one car on camera and never went near it again. Out of all of those cars, the one I would take got like .5 seconds of screen time. The orange Opel Kadett Rallye with the black hood stripes! I want to see it!
My first car was a 1972 Opel Kadett 2-door wagon. 4 on the floor 1.9L with a Weber carb. It was a simple and fun machine. Mine was a hand me down, after my older brother crashed it lightly and got a different car. I put a fender on it, straightend it out, and it was mine! That would have been 1990. As a kid, I always wished I had the rare Kadett Rallye model. But I was still super happy with what I had. I got a free 1974 Dodge Dart 4-door, and started driving it more. It was a quiet cush cruiser with A/C and it held 6 people, which was handy in high school. The Opel got sold to someone I knew, and they proceeded to destoryed it. Black rattle can paint, cut exhaust, and then he ran it out of oil and killed it. Don't sell cars to people you know, so you don't have to see their death.
Sorry buddy, there were sooooo many cars I had to pick a few otherwise it would have been an hour long video
@@Ratarossa And??? I'll watch it I just found your channel and have a quiet few days To binge watch ALL your excellent footage. Now at 19.39 in the video. While you were faffing around with that Landrover. In the background is this amazing shaped silver car, I'm amazed that with that (personal feelings here) a very ordinary Landrover ( I'm from NZ, and there's millions of them here) you didn't notice it or go to have a look. Or its a common car. I have a very long and interesting weekend ahead of me... It's Great cold beer and Ferrari's.. What more could you want at 67 years on this planet. 🍺🍺🍺🍺
The Daimler xj-Coupe was rare when new only about 2000 were made in total of six cylinder and v12's.
wow really only that many !
It was a crazy place wasn’t it! Very kind of Jerry to let us explore. Thanks for taking some time to speak with me Scott, I’ll post my video soon 😎.
I really enjoyed the day out with you guys, thanks for taking me along
@@Ratarossa my ears are still ringing from when I stood at the rear of your CS on start up 😝
I enjoy that multiple cars I own were there.
1982 VW Vanagon
1972 Mercedes 250
(The 2002 isn't quite the same but I have a 1989 BMW 325I E30)
Very cool finds and I would revive them immediately if I had a chance
The middle one on the thumbnail is an Opel GT, it has a 1.9 4-cyl. Some called it the baby Corvette.
Those 2 Volvo's look to be ones sold in Japan. RHD models with KM on the speedo, and the bumper ariel is so you know where the end of the car is, and is so 90s Japan. Plus they love a crown on a logo over there. We get lots of that type of spec cars here in NZ, but you never see their Volvo's coming here as they are too expensive to service and get parts for
That old Honda is cool too. A couple of my friends had blue ones. I love the small cars!
I would definitely pick up that alfa 155 widebody wish you gave it a closer look but with a 100 cars its a tuff one to look at all of them
Check my video to posted short abandoend houses Sylvester Stallone…
the golf gti is irish reg but is more than likely an original uk car as we changed to them reg plate styles in 1987 so that was imported into ireland 2nd hand
*Just WOW! This video was like I was dreaming and I found myself in paradise. I'm speechless.*
Some crazy stuff there, I would love to save a few of them. Lots more I didn't show on camera
@@Ratarossa I would've watched all day if you do a live stream from that location mate. I just can't believe how majestic those oldies are, even in this deteriorated condition.
If you were dreaming they would be as new.
The Opel GT would be a great one to start restoring. The BMW 7 series Schnitzel was epic!! All way to cool!!
Would love to go for 145 and 155, a bit disappointed you did not check them out :/ they looked good and they might be Q4s
Love seeing these old cars
For every inch of rust you can see there is 1 foot of rust you can’t see…….scrap metal and spare parts are all those are good for i fear. Especially sad to see an XJ 6C one of my all time favorite beautiful cars.
So True! In the Citroen DS world, we say if you don't see any rust, you're not looking hard enough!
@@Citroeniste same here in my MG/Triumph garage mate! Visible is tip of the iceberg ... most of the cars in this clip were rubbish new - and now ... 😱
I would go for either the Alfa 147 or 155.
I had a white w/blue interior Mk1 GTI as well. One of the funnest cars I’ve ever had. I would LOVE to see some content on that!!
Alfa 156 there too. Same wheels as on my 156SW. Classy dude
Still watching the video (only about 7 min in), but the 2002 tii, the Mercedes W114/W115 behind it and the Jensen are all US-spec cars. You can see the NHTSA/DOT mandated (as of 1967) sidemarker lights on the front and rear quarter panels of all three cars. So the mileage on that 2002 was indeed in miles, not kilometers.
Edit: Aside from the Chevy C10, other US-spec cars are popping up as I continue to watch. The TR6 and the Jensen behind it are US-spec. In fact, the poor rotten orange Jensen still has its Arizona plate. Pulled from dry and sunny Arizona to rot in the UK, sadly. The black Mercedes ponton at 17:00 is also a US-spec car (LHD plus all red taillights)
The front marker lights would support that assumption ; but actually European Pontons had all red tail lights as mine does ( and I'm only the third owner ) as indeed did early Fintails since the requirement for Amber indicators only came in around 1964 ; this one having Amber indicator lenses suggest they have been changed since they normally came with white ones , but many owners retrofitted the Amber ones for better visibility .
The old BMW !!!!! Look like an amazing project
Nice one Scott, that Jag coupe is cool too!! 😍
Love to see that golf restoration and the van
Definitely go for the MK1 Golf and the BMW 2002 :)
All those Jags need to be saved, they're such beautiful cars and good ones are appreciating.
Theres some craaazy places both in Britain and the U.S... awesom vehicles just rotting away... 😢😢😢
It sure is crazy to see these cars like this
The 2002 TII is an absolute delight!
I like the BMW 2002 and the Golf.I used to have a nice MK1 jetta.
quite a few interesting cars lots to see enjoyed the left hand drive transporter double cab of Doka.
That Opel GT is certainly unique and if i had the funds id probably restore that car lol
Check my video to posted short abandoend houses Sylvester Stallone…
Needed to get there about 20 years ago. Pretty much all too far gone to be worth saving now. Depressing.
OMG...! My Mum had that exact colour Honda Civic in the mid-late '70s....when we lived in Nigeria for a few years....! Loved that car. 😆😂
Seems to be an Irish connection there with the golf and the jag. The normally coke the other direction from UK to Ireland.
Please buy the VW, I also had same GTI, Y reg in the metallic green. I still remember the colour! It's called Lhasa green.
Despite being a Land Rover man, Opel GT's are one of my favourite classics !
Buy the golf ,buy the golf, buy the golf, buy the golf ⛳️ 😎 👌
Wow - what a great time. My attention was caught by the Merc convertible you got in the reflection of the glass at 19:32..looks nice!
Very cool
Check my video to posted short abandoend houses Sylvester Stallone…
Did I see a Lexus sc 80? Lots of cool cars. Thanks for the show. Hope you do a part deux sometime.
Did you sneak into Sam's backyard again? :D
LOL
I love the Opel GT, it's a good project.
2 cars there so im sure a good one could be mades from both
My dad had a BMW 2002 back in the 70’s. A nice car
Superb..thanks
The GTI or the TII would be great projects, you could even get your kids to help! Ya know ignite the passion early eh?
The 2002, the gti and the transporter get me tingling🥴
would the owner be willing to sell any of them cars. I see an alfa 155 there and would love to have one again
It’s funny that you pointed out the rear lights on the bmw 2002 because the guy who designed it was Giovanni Michelotti's (Ferrari)
The Wayne's World car was a Pacer... that original Honda Civic would be another cool project. These will eventually be worth something!! Very similar feel to the original Mini
Nice cars !!!!
02 er BMW. Great Car. LOVE it.
You should grab that tii and restore it with a suped up engine. I had a 76 with a stroker engine that was amazing. Wish I still had it.
Nah, leave it stock. The tii is worth too much now. Plenty of base 2002s around, especially post '73s, or better yet a later 318i.
That Subaru Legacy is a Japanese model with increased power and if its the manual it has a EJ20R and trans from the sti. Also had bigger sway bars brakes and bilstein struts. Kinda sad to see it starting to rot away because it does look relatively clean. I hope the landowner can sell the cars onto people who will take care of them and not just scrap them all.
Love that 02’ roundie super classic
At 4:03 love that BMW 2002 I absolutely 💯
gorgeous looking car.
Yeeeeeeessss save the golf 1 👌🏻✊🏻👍🏻🤘🏻✊🏻
Couple of Irish reg cars in there. The ZV reg Jag as well as the Golf
well spotted
Really cool video !
If you like a mk2 jag..... check out retropowers current builds.... they're doing a mk2 2 door coupe conversion.... top stuff!
That golf gti would be awesome on the channel but even better the Vw pickup transporter right next to it!!
Honestly I’ve only bought forest find cars so seeing this would be like Christmas morning
The golf would have less rust because its an Irish car. We don't salt our roads as much as the UK so rust is less of a problem. All depends how long it's sitting in that field though
Most of these cars looked too far gone for a project, but it does get the juices flowing. I'm nearing the end of a restoration myself with a Rover P5B Coupe and I look more forward to a next project than driving the Rover.
I’d love to see the GTI back in Ireland. I own a mk5 GTI now and once painted my old Honda Blackbird in Lhasa green, code LA6V. It’s a glorious colour when polished up
Looks like s driver not a gti.
Nice find on the panasports they are becoming exceedingly hard to find
I seen a Alfa Romeo 156 SW and a red 146 :) and a 147. Nice
What a amazing collection, sad that they stand rotting away there.
Krásne clasic car 👍👍👍
You missed the rover coupe! That Disco 1 will be worth a few quid. And love those volvos
I never understood why people do this. “Oh here’s a nice car, I’ll buy it and let it rot in a field”.
This is my nightmare. I own 4 classic cars, but when you don’t pay attention the hobby of loving cars turns into slowly destroying precious rides.
That mk1 is co cool, it would definitely be a cool project for the channel and yeah rust wise it looked mint compared to some I’ve seen + that orange transporter pickup thing would make a great period Porsche or other car race support truck
Based on the reg number, it was registered in County Clare in Ireland (west coast).
I see an Alfa 145 cloverleaf 😮 I want it
The Gulf GTI what a joke.😆😂Just like the AMC Pacer. Fish 🐠🐟🐡 Bowl on Wheels !
you gotta get the vw van; it’s for the kids after all
The first jag would be amazing as a full sleeper resto mod.
the 2002 or the daimler coupe, one of my favourite cars ever. As for the house, forget it being any sort of fun adventure, i've been restoring mine for 7 years and i'm poor and sick of it ! 🙂
What a pity, some shitty car , especially the small Honda is nice, to be saved and you want to put bigger engines in the carrozze. Make a tour with a six cylinder car today...⛽🛢️The/8 is the only road master a shame they were all kept for speculation and abandoned because people with money buy new ones. Areal nice collection and filming
The car in the thumbnail is an Opel GT,Richard Rawlings had two of these about a year ago and drove a monster truck over them 😮
Yeah some guys are just natural born idiots!!!
Car in the thumbnail is a 1.9 Opel GT
The Golf was probably imported to Ireland from the UK originally. That reg format suggests it was imported after 1986, which was the year the format changed to the style that’s on the car.
Interesting to know
The new Irish registrations came in in 1987. Any car with a registration prior to 87 would have been an imported used vehicle. The reg with the Euro flag and IRL at the side came in in 1991.
My Dad had one of those Jags, white with red leather and I still remember the great smell of leather and wood.
I think they are awesome looking cars
the white one is an Opel GT
Are they any good ?
@@Ratarossa the headlight opening mechanism is awesome. 😎 The rest is debatable. 😅
@@Ratarossa yes they're very cool. Not worth a lot. If I wasn't a giant I would LOVE to own one. Classic Mini interiors are cavernous compared to them.
@@Ratarossa they are great little cars and very fast for their time & they have cool flip around headlights
Not a fan of fwd but my brother had a rabbit with suspension and motor mods. Fun little cars.
Great video!!
Glad you enjoyed it
"Opel Manta" !!
The gti is a actually a mk2. It would be cool but probably only if you did some sort of an engine swap in it. Great video!
