I find it unbelievable how many have sent parts for plating or ither treatments and had the guy put them off and lose parts. I sent a bunch of rare BMW C9 parts to a nationally known plater. I photographed everything, inventoried them and tagged each with its number. After 4 weeks I called and got a recording. A week laterI called other platers in that city and they told me the shop burned up. It was a terrible loss. I persisted in calling and finally the Owner picked up. I gave him my condolences and he said he would look for my stuff. Astonishingly, my box was still in the receiving area that did not burn. He sent it back right away.

I have been watching your build with interest, I am also rebuilding a 512bb and a couple of area's where I got caught out, firstly the alloy coolant tubes that run through the centre tube of the car, mine looked solid, however, when I ran the car up for the first time, I found a very small amount of water coming from the chassis tube they sit in, to replace those pipes is an engine out job, and new pipes are available at £237 each!!!! Second issue, my exhaust manifolds were a bit of a mess and like yours had been repaired, I bought new ones that were fabricated in the UK (I am in Spain), they looked fantastic and fit without an issue, however after the car had run for maybe a couple of hours still in my garage, smoke started coming from the right side of the motor, I shut in down and could see where the problem was, the pipes on the right rear manifold loop round the drive shaft and it had melted the new driveshaft boot and the grease had run onto the pipes below, on inspection, I noted that the heat shields that fit on the rear manifolds were not there, I am in the process of looking for some heat resistant boots - maybe silicone or GKN Aerodynamic, I am also going to fabricate some heat shields and fit heat tape to the offending pipes just to be on the safe side. I think even the factory original items are questionable, an owner posted on Ferrari chat that his 512 set on fire due to grease leaking from the c/v joint, I hope you find this helpful.

Thanks for the video. I have a problem with a 360. When i unlock the door with the remote control, it doesn´t open. I can lock the door with the remote control. When i unlock the door with the key. The door unlocks itself suddenly. Maybe you have a idea, what the problem is. Do you maybe have a wiring diagram of the 360 for the doors? Thanks a lot.

Should’ve painted the car last, to avoid unintended dings and possible damage to paint during your restoration.

Laufenn Z Fit tires are competitively priced however they do not handle well and wheel spin when its wet with performance cars. I have had 2 sets and they do not last a year and I just replaced with Pirellis and will never look back.

I don't know why car makers use alcantara as much as they do. It looks like crap in no time. I would leave the interior colors the same, but use a better material. Had this not been a daily driver, then maybe you could leave the original material, but a daily driver needs a better material that can stand up to daily use.

I think you are a Charlaton and riding on the coat tails of real car restorers on CZcams. Bining that Ferrari was a disgrace and showed your true colours. You have lost a lot of respect doing that.

Something fishy has been up for the last two months with Scott's channel, its like he's either unwell, run out of content, in jail, given up, what.. what, what?, but the fact that he's choosing to keep us all in the dark is rather uncool & kind of shows a indifferent side - just disappointing.

My heart Melts every time u had all those medal objects on the back of that testarossa , with u banging the parts right on the back of the paint , pounding it down on the paint job and the back spoiler to, I love the way to take care of the cars , but u don’t have much luck taking care of them from paint chips on them, I guarantee u, check the back hatch and u will see pin drop cracks and paint chips into that paint job, even though u will most likely repaint that car , it’s still breaks my heart to see it damaged like that, Next time please put a sheet or cover or even use a table to put all your tools on it, instead of a Ferrari, It’s a really big shame to see this and I had to fast forward this video not to see u scratch that beautiful car anymore ! Good luck !
