Mould 38 - Revealing Mystery Moulds I found on Gumtree

- This is the series where I reveal what is inside these pottery moulds I found on Gumtree.
The story goes, I found a listing on gumtree for pottery stuff. When I arrived the seller said 'I have all these pottery moulds would you like them as well?' and I said 'why not'. On the way home, I had the brain child to do a social media video series revealing what each mould is.
The mystery is in the fact that I had no idea what I had said yes to, some of the moulds are labelled and easy to tell but some of them are a little more difficult. The beauty is that all of the plaster moulds surprise you no matter the presentation of labels, titles or identifiable surface inside.
So come join me as I dive into this series and share the mould fun. I would love to hear any information you may have on the moulds and to let me know any stories you have that the moulds remind you of in the comments.
Don't forget to like, comment and subscribe!
Heaps of love,
Shelby

My instinct when I saw these was "tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits" but maybe that's the British in me craving a cuppa.
YES YES YES! I thought the same! They are also the perfect size for those too!
These would look great as a tea/coffee/sugar trio, but with your native floral design/colour palette!
That's exactly what I was thinking
The shape of the jars remind me of medicine jars for storing cotton swabs and cotton balls.
But these done in a gummy bear pattern would be absolutely adorable 😍
Me too!!! Like little herbal jars too for potions and what not! I love the shape!
How cute would it be to make them with a cartoony first aid theme! The kind of thing that would make a kid believe that bandages a magical for little scratches ☺️
i always buy big boxes of spices so Iv actualy been looking for bigger ones hopefully with little spoons the little holes in shakers are too small for curry mix with bayleaves and they often get cloged up with spices that are suseptable to moisture
SO CUTEEEE! I'd love one for little doggie snackies. The same heart designs with "woof" "walkies" "snoot" etc hehhe
LOVE IT SOPHIE!!!! Maybe a collaboration?? Your designs would look amazing wrapped around this jar!
That is a brilliant idea!
These with your native flora designs storing some tea or little biscuits 😋
Absolutely!!! How beautiful would that be!!! I would even attach a raised plaque onto it for the tea label! So much potential!
Yes!
Yes, exactly!
Oh these would be so perfect for tea. That's 100% what I would use them for if I made them, and I would 100% put the tea flora on it. I have a few (Earl Grey, Mint, Irish Breakfast, etc.) that I have most often, and get most of that would be so beautiful as themes for the jars.
I can't believe I found your channel. Someone as good as you shines like a beacon for people who are sad.
Don't ever change. Promise us all. You will always be yourself.
They are so cute! You could even and those cute little mushrooms to the side and have a matching set with a mug and jar for tea or coffee!
That would be the cutest!
Oh my goodness! This is such a cute idea!
I agree! And maybe even a mushroom knob on the lid! 😍
My idea was cutting a slot into lid for a wooden honey dipper!! Your love of flowers with a few bees could be really cute.
Very cute. They would make great cups for storing your paint brushes and supplies even without the lids
Absolutely! The shape is so versatile!
Paints in one with a lid and brushes with one without. Love it
you deserve hundreds of thousands of subs. I can't believe ppl are missing this wholesome series.
Aww! Thank you so much! CZcams has been so wonderful and supportive! I love this platform and it also helps that they send a few $$ this way for the time I put into these videos! SO THANK YOU!!
if a lid is ever stuck but you dont think its glazed on you can take a wooden rolling pin and gently tap the lid all around and itll probably pop off. These turned out super cute and the colors came out so even.
This is such a wonderful hack! Thank you so much! I love it! I will definitely use that next time if one gets stuck!
@@ShelbySherritt no problem, learned this from my ceramics classes, we had so many rolling pins
Cute! And so many things you could do with this mould!
Right? So much potential! I have so many ideas already!
I get so excited when you get a blank mold, your creativity really shines.
Watching her content is the most wholesome thing in my day
The suspense when you were opening that first jar was intense! I was so relieved when they all came out :)
How cute! They look perfect size for bathroom stuff like cotton balls or q-tips? Love the new opening. ❤️
They are too cute! And REALLY happy that the lids came off.
Me too! It was such a relief! The satisfying little pop noise they made was so cool too!
So adorable! I thought it was bigger until the end and I have to agree that it is the perfect size for just a few candies to squirrel away.
It looks huge but it’s also not huge but not tiny either!? The size is really deceptive!
I definitely agree these seem too large for a spice jar, I like them much better for a sweets stash! Well done! They are adorable 🤩
Thank you so much! The perfect sweets stash jar!
A set of three jars would be so cute in the kitchen, Tea, Coffee and Sugar. Bathroom, cotton balls, cotton buds, band aids. Sewing room, buttons, zips, threads etc. Sooo many uses with a jar with the size and shape of it. The hearts are so cute!
I ADORE the sweet hearts. My husband proposed to me using a sweet heart puzzle. Your color choice is just like what they sell here in the United States.
That is the cutest thing I have ever heard! Thank you so much for sharing that!
Your work has such a charming vintage feel. Your videos are so soothing.
I've been loving this series! I haven't had the time to do any crafting lately, and this is warming my soul as I love vicariously. These jars came out adorable 🥺
Oh my gosh these are my favourite of the series so far!! Love the idea of the candy heart design, so many possibilities for different ways to use the jars too 😊
Super cute! I would love to see one with your Australian flowers design on it!
ME TOO! I really wanted to do it but I wanted to share a different inspiration and a different concept this week! I almost need to do another series called 'revisiting the moulds with your suggested concepts!'
My kids and I are loving all of the work they keep stopping and watching what's on my phone. Gonna take them to a paint your own ceramics place this weekend they are so excited, you've sparked their creativity!!!
these are sooo cute! the candybhewrt design was an absolutely PERFECT inspiration for the design. so bright and vibrant and I'm stoked that the lids came off. 🥰❤️💜💙💚💛
Yay I am so so so happy you like it! I was so relieved!!
I love the inclusion of “cute butt.”
AHAH I am so glad you noticed!
These colors came out perfectly!!!!
Thank you so dang much!
I love the treat jars! The hearts are great. You could do other seasonal candies like candy corn or peppermint sticks. I love holiday themes.
Yesss I’m jumping on the native flora train too! Would be gorgeous for biscuits or malteasers or something!
Very cute. You should paint some more with 'coffee, tea, sugar'.
YES! Love this idea!
Those are so cute!!! I love the jar itself but your design was genius ❤️
I’ll be honest, I often ff though some of your videos and love when the kiln opens! You do a great job on everything ! I am inspired by your creativeness. It’s all I can do not to run out and buy molds and a kiln!
I’m amazed at how you are steady with the painting! I love how you go with inspiration!!
We get these little pastry heart biscuits with crunchy sugar in my country!
So many cool options for these. The mushrooms on these would be really cute.
Definitely would not think of it as a spice jar! I thought of Winnie the Pooh’s honey jar immediately when you opened it!
Omg these are gorgeous! You could use them for almost anything. Your such an inspiration. I really love your work!!
Squeeeeee!! These are great! Bravo on your lid bravery.
Thank you! Gosh I was nervous! I really should have tested one first but timing of the firings was not going to work out to get these videos out so I had to risk it for the content biscuit!
@@ShelbySherritt Well worth the risk.
13:23 such a satisfying sound when they separate 💕💕💕
I haven't been watching these in order, but I'm so invested in these molds, lol!
These are so cute! Good for you on making a lidded jar with the lid fitting and not sticking. I can attest to the frustration of warped or stuck kids. It’s almost as bad as filled in teapot holes.
Would never have thought to make candy heart jars, but so perfect.
What a fun, cute and useful item!! I love cute containers 😍
I’d love to see another video with this mould using different designs!
These looked like they would be great jars for holding jams to bring out to the breakfast table. They look like jars for sugar too. It might be a waste of the artistry, but candles often come in lidded jars these days as well. Very cute and congratulations on successfully matching the lids to the jars!
Super cute how they turned out… I would have love to see them in vintage Color’s with labels like sugar or salt etc
Okay, CZcams recommended #37 to me and now I'm going to have to watch them all!!
I love it as a candy jar like you did! I agree there are a lot of ways you can approach them and make them fun. :)
I thought the same thing good tea coffee and sugar jars. They would be great to kitbash with your small mushrooms to decorate them or even your bumblebees to create sets with. Also love your native plants that you do. Keep up the great work❤😊
I instantly thought of the Deadly Nightshade jar from The Nightmare Before Christmas. 🥰
Yay!! I wanted it to be a cookie jar and that's close enough
SO CLOSE! Any guesses for next weeks reveal hehe!
Love this mold. I hope you do more of these.
You can buy wax that makes it possible to fire them without them sticking to each other. At least you could when I was doing clay work 🤗🤗I love your little jars
Those jars are awesome. Great job!
Thank you! They are a lovely shape with a lot of surface area so you could do so much with this design!
Looks more like a coffee or tea canister then spice jar. How many molds do you have left?
I totally agree! I think I might need to make a couple of sets of those! I have a fair few! I don't have a number because I didn't count when I brought them home and put them away but I would say the total number is close to 300! So at this rate with one reveal a week I will be going for years ahahahah
Perfect for Valentine's Day honestly
they look so lovely! i love the little "open me" detail on top as well :)
You do such a good job. Thank you for posting. Looking forward to more.
Those jars look so sweet!
I've seen another pottery artist on Tik Tok use little balls of clay when they make lidded vessels, to keep the lid in place and leave a gap for air to flow through. That was thrown clay though, so could be completely different in terms of... well, everything.
Do you even have to worry about air bubbles causing accidental explosions in the kiln when you're pouring this type of clay into moulds? I've only ever used the kind of clay you have to wedge and leave air holes in.
I'm late to the party, but this is really relaxing. I think one little heart without any text on the bottom inside the jar would be really cute. 😀
I want this one with the native Australian flora to match the handless tea cups too! Just make a whole set! The blank pot belly mugs would go with the simplicity too.
What a success! So cute!
I absolutely could see these exact jars at target for Valentine’s Day. So cute.
In famous Polish pottery factory in Chodzież for decades was produced this coffee set called 'Roman'. Because of the simple and versatile design it was made in gazillion decorations in different styles. Nobody knows how many patterns there were in the factory and private potters added even more. This jar reminds me od that set and even the lid 'button' handle is almost identical :)
Loved it and your design is perfect.
I think these are my favourite so far!! So cute! I would totally buy one❤️
I love the shape of these!
It is so lovely!!! The shape is so gorgeous and has so much potential!
If your lids stick during firing, you can try tapping it with a rolling pin "gently" to get them to separate or another option is to run the jar under HOT tap water. The hot water will cause the air trapped inside the jar to expand and break the seal loose, thus separating the two pieces. Hope that helps!
Oh you did a great job on these. Thank you for sharing 🌞🌞🌞
Love this! Cute little sweetie jar 😋
WOW! Amazing! What a fantastic sweets jar
I’m watching these in order thanks to CZcams recommendations. This is my favorite yet, I hide candy from my husband & this is a perfect stash jar. Super Cute!
They would be nice as bathroom storage. One for cotton swabs and cotton balls and those little makeup removal pads.
I can see my daughter and granddaughter having them lined up on the makeup table
They are adorable
Well these are absolutely adorable!❤💜💙💛
Thank you so much 💓💓💓
Those are amazing! Love the love hearts idea and execution! And what potential! These would look great with herbs either painted or sculpted on too! Or different teas!
I love these! I keep wondering if you could use the wax resist between the jar and lid to keep them from sticking together.
Love those Jars. Xxx
I saw in a different video that someone who specializes in containers uses something called wadding to fire the lids on top of the jars to keep them from sticking, when they take it out of the kiln they knock off the wadding and use a ceramic specialist polishing compound to sand the edges by turning the lid on the container so that the lid and container fit perfectly together without gaps.
I love these, these are by far my favourite ones you’ve poured!! Would love one for tea and coffee and sugar, in a striped blue or teal!!
Those are adorable! ❤
These would b really cute as four seasonal jars.
Beautiful !!
When I’m painting/drawing words, I’ll begin with the middle letter, it really helps make spacing easier. 💕
Really fun design. Well done!
Thank you so much!
So so cute,thanks so much!😊
I love this one
Omg, do it with the mushrooms to match the cups ^^
I have too!!
These would be cute for tons of things! A little candy or cookie jar, to store items for the bathroom or even the tea, as you mentioned.
Great job Shelby !! Love what you did with this one too !!
Perfect size for bacon grease!
I just love these videos!
❤flying pigs or bacon strips with wings???
I'm loving these jars
Thank you so much Tonie!
I love this one I would use it for fermenting small bachs vegetable
I know I'm very late, but I'm utterly devastated you didn't do a "Hunny" jar from Winnie the Pooh. It's has perfect vibes for that!!
I made one of these for my mother. She kept sugar cubes in it. She kept in next to the coffee maker. I’m from southern Arizona, USA.
I love these! 💚💚💚
I had some love hearts and one said "Granny P" on which was very confusing. I think that's the weirdest one I've ever had
I love these! I’ve got so many ideas for uses!
Sometimes when I have had a lidded item, it has to cool a tiny bit , but not too much, since it can cool and tighten
