fun fact: the reason Jubal Khan was injured so badly was because he was captured by Drukari until he was rescued by Korsarro Khan and the scars. The reson why he isnt in a dreadnought was because the white scars believe that the spirit of warriors should be free rather then caged

Grimaldis shows up in helbrect knight of the throne and what I got from his scenes is that he is acting as helbrect's therapist

Grimaldus does pop up in the book "Helbrecht" and you get to see him in the role as a consultant/confidant/friend to the High Master, it's a nice look at the Grimadus/Helbrecht relationship. It's not a long look as the book is about how Helbrecht copes with the changes both internal and external the Rubicon Primaris has brought on. (Point of note: this takes place after Grimaldus himself has crossed the Rubicon)
if you read the helsreach sequel/emperor's spears prequel, blood and fire i think you get a great scene of ole Grimey coming to understand who Helbrecht is and how he thinks. honestly that novella really raised my respect for Helbrecht where before i thought he was just kind of generic angry space marine.

nah he sent them off to rebuild with a group of black templars before the rift opened. the Inquisiton hasn't forgotten though. the celestial lions reappear in the Emperor's Spears novel doing better than they had been.
I think they already have their Primaries reinforcements.

In the emps spear they are fighting for control of their homeworld and its implied they lost that at the end of the book when the spears state their citadel was destroyed with the spears only being able to save a handful and share homeworlds now

You ask for the chapter master of the Imperial Fists, but you should know this would be the first time any IF chapter master had 1) a character to speak of; 2) outlasted the revolving door of IF chapter masters. They don’t stick around.
Main reason Lysander never becomes Chapter Master, he knows it's cursed.

Leetu's entire tarot deck is mysterious as fuck. He says he's making his own deck to John, but we also know that Horus made his own special deck with the help of chaos, and the Emperor himself has unique cards. And now Leetu has them all.
The more i think about it, the more i believe Erda didn't sent Leetu to protect John, but to finish his deck. But why?
@@lucchi018 Think of it like a Plotline, Leetu starts at A being created by the Emperor as a template marine, he moves through B, C, and D events leading up to being taken by Dorn. This is the seed of a story that'll be published in another decade likely about bringing back a Loyalist Horus, whatever this whispered and rumored Golden City in the Warp is will be involved.

The months of shame was enought space wolfs screentime for a few decades, specially considering thatvwas in a grey knights books they sucked all the screentime and reputation off.
Aaron Dembski-Bowden really did the GK dirty when he was tasked with their moment to shine.
yeah i'm not a big fan of that book. he made the grey knights seem both stupid, and malicious. though i hear he's not a big fan of overly powered characters. so who knows?

Idk if you ever read the books rynns world and legacy of dorn, but those books established my love of the Crimson Fists, and I think they did a really good job of humanizing space marines
I want to read about Ghazgul going after chaos for killing his favorite enemy. That could be a really fun read.
Two of the marines I want to see are Sapphon, the head chaplain of the Dark Angels, and Fen, formerly a captain of the Angels Vermillion. Sapphon is a relatively sane Dark Angel, and I think he would be really interesting to work next to a member of the Risen.
Fen, on the other hand, might be the last loyal marine in his chapter. Giving him a force of Primaris, sending him against his homeworld that may or may not be corrupted by Chaos or under some sort of external attack would be a really interesting story.
So yes, Azrael shows up in Lazarus’ book. It’s a good book, but it’s worth noting Azrael is only in the book for a single conversation with Lazarus where they debate the whole hunting the fallen thing. It’s firstborn Azrael, basically just before his crossing of the rubricon I think. I would really really like to see Azrael actually do things. His book where he becomes supreme grandmaster is a good read, and he’s such a neat character. The watchers in the dark chose him to lead, and they revived him during his surgery. Clearly they want him alive for something, and I’d like to see that explored more
Proposition: Barthuza Narek, during the Scouring, manages to non-instantly-fatally snipe Lorgar before getting killed. The Urizen had until now denied ascension in order to keep his free will, but is then forced into it to survive, hence finally becoming a slave to the uncaring gods he pledged himself to. 😎
Fun fact: in the Iron Hands Fortress Monastery there’s a painting of Sabik Wayland carrying Nykona Sharrowkyn to safety during Istvaan V

I'd go for Lexandro d' Arquebus of the Imperial Fists from the original Space Marine novel/Inquisitor series. Alive and last seen in the webway so you can come up with a thousand ways to make his comeback story and what he's been up to interesting.
i love it when characters from other books/series appear in a new narrative. the books about uriel ventris were some of my first reads and seeing him appear shorty in the plague wars when he meets guilliman was a really touching moment for me

While I would love Sharrowkyn back, it's unlikely Cawl has him as defense. In the Genefather book, when Cawl's ship is under attack and chaos forces are after the Sangprimus Portum, no mention of him is made and it's Alpha Primus who acts as defense for it.
Nikona crossed the rubicon using the sangprimus becoming alpha primus!

Honestly the idea of a 40k book going over an unnamed space marine roaming the Eye of Terror and Great Rift carrying a crystal bullet on a necklace, hunting down Traitor marines, especially Word Bearers, and use that very bullet to do it. Basically saturating the bullet in psychic power, making it possible to kill a Demon Primarch. But he doesn’t succeed and nearly dies to Lorgar, only to be saved by Demon Corvus Corax, would be a sick story idea
Being left in stasis by Guilliman for all eternity is a fate worse than death.

It's probably been mentioned before, but Grimnar was in the Dawn of Fire book The Wolftime where his anger at Guilliman for being the Primarch to return and not Russ and acceptance of the Primaris is his story arc.
I would love to see the return of Epimetheus. The Dark Angel(Grey Knight) abducted by Abaddon.
Last we saw him he was imprisoned in a holding cell with a blank surgically graphed onto him. Modern Dark Angels walked right past him after boarding the ship. That was heart breaking.
Nykona would be absolutely awesome to have come back and since Shrike doesn’t think he should be chapter master of the raven guard Nykona would be perfect to have come take over for Shrike atleast in my opinion

I became emotionally attached to Narek when I listened to Vulkan Lives even if the book itself isn't terribly good and I swear if he doesn't get a proper ending I'm going to eat every wall of every building GW has ever been related to

I would really love to see the Iron hand Centurian Thos, the guy is a badass despite the fact he only appears in one chapter of the book Sigismund the eternal crusader.
He actually messed Sigismund up in that chapter and is probably the only instance where Sigismund won due to Plot Armor. Like Sigis’ hands and legs were broken yet he was still fast enough to cut the cables of Thos arm and leg pistons and make the iron hand surrender.
I would like for him to appear whether it is in the scouring or maybe in the modern setting somehow. Personally the scouring is where I am hoping he appears more of but still bring him back. We need more Iron hand Characters
I hope we get to see Rylanor as part of the Legion of the Damned. Maybe when Fulgrim re-enters the setting. He'll be close to breaking Imperium defenses on some key planet, only for Rylanor to appear before him, radiating pure hatred and fury.

I would very much like to see more of Chapter Master Tu’Shan or Vulkan He’Stan, not just because they’re interesting, but mainly because the Salamanders very much deserve more attention. After the Pariah Nexus miniseries, I hope this increases Salamanders interest for fans and newcomers.

From Grimnar there is a fair amount of content in Thorpe SW novels... but they are Thorpe novels, so he his very shitty there, as everything and everyone else.
About Ragnar, it would be GREAT to have him in a Chris Wraight novel (maybe then GW will got some ideas about what the hell to do with the SW) as he seemed to have some ideas on what to do with him in his SW novels from before the great rift. And talking about the Chris Wraight SW 40k novels, it would be GREAT to have the protagonist SW squad back, as they are all great characters.

While normal Astartes have to go thru all those modifications since childhood, Leetu was BORN an Astarte (and probably the only survivor bc of Emps and Erda's genetic material).

Ragnar needs a heroic death trying but failing to kill Ghaz. Alternatively Ghaz could team up with Grimaldus and Helbrecht to banish Angron for a long time. Those would be interesting ideas for plotting lines that gw will never try.

There are Templars present when the thing happens in Spears of the Emperor and its implied that their home planet is going to be wiped out by traitors. Give me the Eternal Crusade coming to the rescue then the Reclusiarch helping the Lions to put down the inquisitor once and for all.
I feel like if there's going to be a Great Scouring series, we'll see Nykona, Leetu, and Barthusa take part in that.
What about Garviel Loken? Isn't he still alive somewhere? Imagine if a Luna Wolf came back and started a crusade against Abadon. And if Loken came face to face with him would be fantastic.
