The agents of the imperium are like a perfect shot from a sniper rifle while the imperial guard is like a powerful below from a sledgehammer both can do a lot of damage but you need to use them in very different situations.

The Rogue Trader have a tabletop RPG, as the Inquisitor, who have three. You will find a TONS of BG there.
All in all, my favorites are the Rogue Trader, ad the Vanus Assassins. You can see one in the Horus Heresy Tallarn book. She's just awsome.

A little tid bit of lore about Konrad(and I have no actual evidence aside from a theory that I heard somewhere) is that when he was "killed", he apparently didn't have the typical "Primarch death" that usually accompanied any deaths of Primarchs(release of energy, yadda yadda)
So the theory is that he actually isn't dead. Not that I am suggesting that that is canon, but it's an interesting theory

@@v02max75 I'm pretty sure Majorkill has mentioned it multiple times as part of a theory about the crown konrad wore having an eldar soul stone. But I don't think he ever went too far in depth.
@@bane_0f_heroesx226it was Majorkill and I think that stone was Konrad trying to preserve his soul, not necessarily to be revived one day but more so to prevent his soul from being torn apart by warp entities or worse captured by daemons or even the chaos gods.
Breachers are Imperial Navy. Voidsmen are space PMC. But yeah, used to play the old Inquisitor game on 28mm scale and you can really let your creativity fly with that.
I actually used Solar Auxilia to kitbash 4 of my 6 Voidsmen At Arms squads.

Rogue Traders it's a very good game (still in chapter 2 in the agri-world) and really feels the creators love Wh40k to is core, but to bad it's still a buggy game

Hey don't apologize for rambling on - especially when it is just more lore & info for us. I think we can all agree that we prefer longer videos overall. I definitely recommend reading Nemesis - I really enjoyed it. It was cool seeing the 40k universe from that perspective. Also The Garantine; every scene with him is awesome.

Not only is it by one of my favorite Black Library authors but its a book that includes various temples of the Officio Assassinorum *and* Imperial Knights.

Agents of the imperium to me, are the inquisitor acolytes who do what must be done in the shadow. They come from all walks of life and are ready to fight like hell to protect the imperium.
Who do you fear more, the right hand of the Imperium, or the left hand of the Imperium?

War of the Beast, imo, is worth reading or listening to for the Imperial inner workings and political drama. Lots of interesting and fun looks into life on Terra and good action set pieces. There's an assassination attempt/chace on a grav-train too lol
There are a few short stories if you're curious about assassins ( Assassinorum: Execution Force, Assassinorum: Divine Sanction, and maybe one or two more). The Kingmaker book is worth checking out as well.
One huge achievement of the Assassinorum which people don't talk NEARLY as much as it deserve was when they sent a execution force after Aun'Va, the supreme Ethereal leader, EFFECTIVELY KILLING HIM. That was a massive blow to the Tau empire war efforts, future politics as they shift Aun'va with an AI clearly not as smart as him and it is also kind of a win to the Tau, as in, they have become such a pain that a wholeass Execution force was sent after their leader, that's not something to scoff at!
Something I just realized watching this, my ranking of favorite ordo majoris is the exact opposite of my ranking of their chambers militant:
Ordos:

2. Xenos
3. Hereticus
CM:
1. Sisters
2. Deathwatch
3. Grey knights
I´ve been a fan of the more xenophilic sides of the the Imperium pretty much since I first heard that something like that even existed. Inquisitors, Rogue Traders and their teams make some of the coolest and most diverse groups of characters in the entire lore. Also read Kingmaker, Robert Rath is such an amazing author.
Repenta don't tend to join up with Inquisitors. That's Sister Oblita you're thinking about.

They were originally introduced in =][=nquisitor Magazine
For your video about the types of assasins there is a minor but interesting temple called Maerorus . I will not spoil everithing here for you but they in their brief history created only one super assasin that eventually went rogue and it took basically an army of elites space marines plus some assasins from other temples to kill it. The funny thing is they had to literally reduce it to ash to win. This came from the novel Seventh Retribution. Hope that this is interesting for your video about the categories of assasins.
Sisters of Silence are another such faction, the Watchers of the Throne Series by Chris wraight does a great job showing them off

As someone who has read Nemesis, I will say that it is a pretty good introduction to each of the Major Temple Assassins and I am a fan of James Swallow's writing

With the wide spread post fall of cadia / return of G. we have gotten some fasinating novels and some poorly written ones as well. Much as I am a avocate for the dawn of fire series its all over the place with its focus and quality. Kingslayer was great as a insight into how this organization works and im itching for the third book of the Bequin series. So fun times are ahead.
Love Rogue Traders. Wish GW and BL would do more novels surrounding them.
Speaking of I want parts 2 and 3 of the Corsair series :)

Rogue trader does such a cool job at hamfisting general lore points to make it easy for new players and possibly get them into the universe.
Wonder if the Ordo Sinister would fall into this category (lore-wise since I have no idea about its status in-game) as was a shadowy organization directly under the command of the Emperor bypassing the Mechanicum even though it should fall into its jurisdiction and its activities clearly were not meant to be known by wider Imperium, hell, even high level personnel were completely in the shadow.

I appreciate you being upfront that you haven't read Nemesis and other Assassin books, but as some poor sap who read that book, it wasn't worth it. I hated it more than Battle for the Abyss honestly, maybe because I had hopes for it because I think the Assassinorum is really neat. This video is also reminding me of those long off days of running Rouge Trader and Dark Heresy, good times.
King Slayer is good. I enjoyed the interactions and watching them work together.

I think on you glossed over(though I don’t really blame you for it) are the bounty hunters/hired guns. These people who do jobs for the highest bidder and often go it alone. Like these guys have their own key word in the Necromunda campaigns. Unlike bounty hunters in Star Wars though, these guys don’t have their own ships so when they do appear they are usually restricting though no fault of their own to the planet their on at the time, usually hive worlds.
I should not that just like in Star Wars bounty hunters aren’t just humans but also abhumans mutants and even Aliens. Gor halfhorn being the best example for non-human bounty hunters.
However these guys can get benefits from the people they work for, say a high ranking official wants a job done on another planet they will be put on a ship that is heading there. The most famous example of this happening is in Ravenor Returns novel. Oh and if you pay them enough they will go after Inquisitors like in Ravenor Returns. That’s how hardcore these guys can get.
These guys can also be very valuable in an Inquitors retinue because of their skills or just be temporary paid muscle the most famous example being Harlan Nayl(my personal favourite character in Dan Abnett’s inquisition series)
And their personality and interactions are often times hilarious like in Sinmers bounty when Kal Jericho meets up with Baertrom Arturos III the conversation goes like:
“yo bro how you doing?”
“Good thanks how about you?”
“Not bad I’m after this bounty”
“So am I, I’m going to have to kill you now though, I got paid to”
“Damn that sucks. Though you do know I’m the one pointing a lasgun at your forehead”
“You and I brought Grendl Grendlson to act as my sniper”
“Really? Damn”
It’s honestly very funny how these guys have absolutely no hard feelings towards each other and are just business as usual. Or when Harlan looses a finger, he just acts like he cracked his nail.
Honestly she we don’t get more bounty hunters features in 40K beyond Necromunda.
So be fair in most warhammer 40k game you are playing for the imperium and in term a agent of the imperium.
Even in other games you have the option to play for the imperium.

To anyone who wants to know what happen to that assassin that killed Konrad. She was hunted down by Talos and rest of his brothers. She was tortured, broken, and killed in that process. You can find the lore in the Night Lords trilogy.

Some people do enjoy playing elites or characters with special privileges. I can see the appeal. But when characters are extremely powerful, like the Grey Knights or the Assassins, it gets a bit close to superhero vs supervillain. And that's not as interesting to me personally. I enjoy the struggles of the Militarum and the Astartes, probably because they're just more down to earth than that. When the GK are teleporting around the board, it's a bit more Marvel Comics. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

"Nemesis" is hands down, the best 40k book I have ever read. I don't know why dumb shits say the book is not any good. It is a little complex going back and forth with two story's unfolding at the same time. But they converge at the climax of the book for a great ending. Do yourself a favor and READ THIS BOOK. I know you will love it (if you are into this type of shit)
