Great video and just want I needed. I'm at high school media teacher and looking to move to DaVinci Resolve for my students to use in class...and this video taught me what I needed to learn right now, all while downloading the app!!! Great job and thanks again.
What a treat to have a question, type it in to CZcams and find this absolute gem. Thank you!
Well done! This is just what I need right now.
Nearly at 10k subs.
Congratulations. 😀
Great stuff!!!
great video mate! very detailed! Thanks! I'd love to see a video of how to generate proxies in the new Resolve update... thanks!
I have to tell ya, that was an awesome vid! So what I gathered, if you are doing interview style videos (or talking head), basically cut with your ear first, Then select your angles. Then overlay with relevant B-Roll (graphics too I suppose), Once you have that done, then it is time to think about the grade and the Audio.
I assumed a similar workflow, except with my first Davinci resolve video, I picked the angles first. You live, you do, you learn.
This just saved me hours of work!
Hearing this is why I make content! So happy to hear that 👍
When you were doing the "trim down" portion of your video.... is it possible to use the "trim to playhead" feature? I'm having a problem when trimming my multicam clip. It will trim the video to the desired, next edit.... but since my audio doesn't have any edit points, it tries to trim the entire audio clip from playhead to next edit.... which is actually the end of the audio clip. I hope this makes sense.
Great video, I really need to bite the bullet and move away from Vegas (20) due to the constant crashes. Multi Camera is a must for me so thanks for this! Andy.
No worries. I actually started out on Vegas! Shame to hear it’s not too stable these days. Grab the free version of resolve and see how you get on with it!
I'll have to watch this again - was not very clear to me. First exposure to the topic. I would have preferred a simple, 2 camera example. demonstrating cuts. They wouldn't have to be super artistic, just example quality. A suggestion: try to write a more compact script. On the first pass, keep it direct and little exposition. "Do this in order to make a cut, then do this to change camera angle, etc. Always say why something is done. If you don't I'll end up guessing, likely wrongly. But, it's getting a bit clearer. Thanks.
When you have 10 clips per camera, do you select them all to create the multicam or you create a multicam per clip ?
Great video with great information! Had to watch it in 2x speed though and he still kind of talked too slow for me haha. Just a subjective suggestion, you could speak faster if you wish!
The video was helpful but I feel you left out two important factors, one you didn't show us how to load the different camera angles into the time-line, Two you didn't show us the final results
