I've been watching your channel for the last several weeks; and like others below, I find your presentations to be very clear and easy to follow. I very much like the fact that you always use colored circles and other slightly opaque shapes to help identify where the pointer arrow is on your screen shots. That is such an invaluable aid in helping the viewer keep oriented. Obviously, you know what you're doing and I look forward to continue learning from you!
Kevin as always, making videos which are actually beneficial and informative. Your amazing Kevin!!!
One of the channels I have bell notifications turned on for
Wow, as a complete novice, this was such an incredible video to watch. Thanks Kevin for walking me through this. Maybe I'm a newbie, but the fact that DaVinci Resolve syncs the audio and video across up to 16 video cameras...is insane. And it's FREE!
Absolutely excellent video. I am a total newbie doing multicam for my first time, and I can confidently say that you just saved me tens of hours of effort. It's like magic! Thank you.
Best tutorial I've seen in a very long time. Much appreciated! Well done. You saved me hours editing my multi-cam projects. Thank you!
Kevin is explaining as one of the best. Clear, right speed, to the point and complete.
You have this ability to produce the exact tutorial at the exact moment I need it. Thanks, Da Vinci is a beast of a program. I had it a couple of years ago but computer wasn't up to it. But now!!!!!
7:36 why i cannot see that icon on mine? I dont have that 2 timelines(2 viewers)??? pls help
Thank you!!!!! You just saved me DAYS of my life trying to edit a multi-cam podcast!
I use Davinci for some time, but today you taught me new things that I can do with this beautiful software. Thank you very much.
Kevin thank you so much for this video. I've seen so many videos trying to do multicam with DaVinci and none of them compare to this one. You really explain it very well and so easy to understand and follow. I just did my first multicam and saved me tons of time thanks to you!
Without a doubt the best multi cam tutorial out and I've seen a lot. No gimmicks just to the point. I started editing using PP and completely switched to DR a couple years back. It was a bit of a curve but I managed to harness it for my professional needs. I don't use DR on a regular daily basis but when I do use it, I'm using it from 2-4 weeks per production. Having tutorials which are easy to follow and get right to the point help the workflow stay as smooth as possible which is why this one is bookmarked! Between video prods my bread & butter is (still) photography (30 + years) for which I shoot, edit and post prod anywhere from 3000-10,000 images a week, so my muscle memory is devoted to Photoshop. Thanks!
7:36 why i cannot see that icon on mine? I dont have that 2 timelines(2 viewers)??? pls help
source also doesnt have multicam option
Excellent overview for multi cam and really liked that you took the time to introduce the entire process for those not yet familiar with Resolve. Thank you!
You are amazing Kevin, no words to describe your skills. How simply you are explaining everything, hats off....
Just what I needed. Thank you. In particular the bit about letting it play and then press the number keys to switch angles and have the edits accumulated.
THIS IS THE TUTORIAL THAT I NEEDED TO GET THE MULTI-CAM WORKING PROPERLY THANK YOU!
This helped me so much! I record guitar covers and I thought using multiple angles would be a lot harder. Thank you!!
Thank you so much! This video answered A LOT of the questions I had and really helped me with a multicam issue in DaVinci!
Thank you!!! Had watched another very over complicated video on how to do this and if anything it really put me off the task itself. Following your instructions made it so much easier. Cheers.
In the last year I used Davinci normally. Now since a month I have 2 cams. I watched several youtube on the subject and to this day and never succeed. YOU, explained it with a simple way and now I GOT it !!!! many thanks
As of 2023 davinci 18.1.3 this still apply. Thank you!
Great video, thanks so much! Would be amazing to see this and your workflow with the new Speed editor as well!!
This was an excellent tutorial right on point! Thank you very much for your good work!
I recently bought a second M50 for multiangle purpose and this tutorial got me up to speed on how to edit efficiently with this setup
thank you so much
Thanks Kevin, this was very helpful and easy to do. I was able to step through my project while watching the video.
Looked so easy, thanks. We now have multiple GoPro's on our truck when we travel and wanted an easy way to edit these clips together. Thanks for the Proxy tip, already knew about optimized media.
Sir there’s no way I can say thank you to you this has just saved my life and content
*Fantastic tutorial Kevin!*
I’m so glad you settled on DaVinci Resolve, as I really like your presentation style when doing tutorials.
I second that, his videos are not easy to make, he really serious on his job
7:36 why i cannot see that icon on mine? I dont have that 2 timelines(2 viewers)??? pls help
@@BWVidventures yeah need help with this too, i usually have the option but cannot understand why its not there now, killing my time management over one little button
I'm a hobbies/enthusiast I've been using Premier Pro for years and it's a handful to use, just started Davinci with a new computer and loving it! so much easier!!! I had just completed my first multi camera music video on Premier Pro, took many hours to work out how to do it:( Davinci looks almost childs play in comparison! this makes me look forward to another multicam shoot :)
Thanks for the excellent tutorial! Loving davinci more and more.
I appreciate this video a lot! I've just finished editing a Multicam video the old way - manually syncing them, then cutting out the part I don't need when switching to the B roll camera. Cumbersome! I'll try Multicam. Thanks!
Excellent to-the-point style. No posturing, jokey asides. Many thanks!
Thank you dear Kevin. You are such a humble and generous person.
7:36 why i cannot see that icon on mine? I dont have that 2 timelines(2 viewers)??? pls help
I came to find out how to keep the same audio clip and change only video and you delivered! Nice work!
I'm trying to switch from Filmora X to Resolve 17, so I'm trying to learn basic editing in Resolve. This actually looks SO much easier than having to have 2 video tracks and guessing where to cut and remove part of the second angle clip!
7:36 why i cannot see that icon on mine? I dont have that 2 timelines(2 viewers)??? pls help
That was a smart strait-forward explanation of the multi-cam workflow. Many thanks!
Clear and to the point. Good content presentation. Thanks KS
Thanks very much for this great video! So helpful for editing!
You are just the best, thank you Kevin. Always to the point with the right amount of details. Thanks so much!
This is great! I really need to explore DaVinci Resolve more :)
I think you can do this with many video editors. However you are right because resolve is great and complicated app.
@Khin La pyae Woon software means program. You can say 'davinci resolve is great video editing software' or 'davinci resolve is great video editing program'
Did u understand it, bro?
7:36 why i cannot see that icon on mine? I dont have that 2 timelines(2 viewers)??? pls help
Thanks for the tutorial! Now I’m really confident to editing multiple camera (but same audio) all at once!
You make it all look so easy, I know making tutorial videos takes a lot of work, thanks for your efforts, makes my life easier.
Great video...can't wait to try this out. I have always wondered how to deal with multi cam footage, and you made it so simple! Merry Christmas!
Thank you so much sir - exacly the simple tutorial I needed. Just started out with Davinci in the last few weeks having used power director for years. Today I shot my first multi cam video for my channel and thanks to your video I am now editing as we speak.

Thank you for the refresher. Hopefully I'll start doing this often enough to have in ingrained into my head.

This was a brilliant tut. Thanks for making it so clear. 👌🏼
Thank you very much for crystal clear explanations!
thanks for your help man, this is now the second video you've helped me with for my podcast :)
Thanks for the retraining for Davinci Resolve. I'd previously used multicam on Sony Vegas Pro. It's very similar 👍
Excellent walk through, perfect...just what I needed.
I don't think you mentioned this at 6:30 in but the audio and video needs to be unlinked in order for you to set the default video and audio clip. And a BIG THANKS for making this tutorial. I've just started using two cameras and this really helped!
Oh wow, didn’t know it was this easy! Thanks a lot, this definitely helps.
Extremely useful, thank you.
Great Video - thanks a million - just about to edit my band's performance and its been a while since I used Davinci so this is a great reminder...
Got me started on my first project real quick, thanks~
Loved this video! Thank you so much I can’t wait to start recording 😊
Thanks for the quick explanation!
Thanks for sharing! Your step-be-step explanations sound simple to follow. Would it be possible to create a document listing all the steps that you quickly name in the video?
Thanks Kevin, another winner video!
Thank you for taking the time to explain it to us.
Extremely helpful. Thank you ! 🙏
Brother, I so appreciate you putting these vids together. I am new to DaVinci and use it to edit our Sunday School / Bible Study classes. With your help and the wise counsel of “Chief Tinkerer” my presentations are much better. With the content that I am working with, I’m trying to do my very best, carefully.
Thank you once again - working on a video at this very moment.
Great video. Only thing I was hoping to se but didn't was using multiples from 2+ cameras with the files saved as the cameras do their own naming convention. Like a lot of people I use a main DSLR and a action cam for overhead / moving shots etc. I'll toy with the import options to see which way best integrates my default named files. THanks for everything else in here, made it super easy!
OMG! This was SOOOOO helpful! You do an excellent job explaining. Keep them videos coming.
Great tutorial, Kevin. Thanks!
AWESOME! thank you so much for sharing this!
Amazing video, especially choosing the audio source in multicam.
Thanks Kevin, this cleared a few things up
thanks man, super helpful and simple to understand
Greatly helpful and amazingly explained. Thank you! Cheers
A very good tutorial. Well explained with out hype. Very straight to the point. Well done!
7:36 why i cannot see that icon on mine? I dont have that 2 timelines(2 viewers)??? pls help
source also doesnt have multicam option
Once again great information. 10/10
One really helpful thing with multicam editing on Resolve that you didn't mentioned is the ability to "open the multicam timeline". So that you can adjust, or add other angles directly in your Multicam. You just have to right click and pick "open in timeline" (don't forget to activate the multi timeline viewer on the left) and then you'll avec access to your multicam timeline.
Your Welcome ;)
Thank you so much, liked and suscribed!
Very informative and helpful. Thank you !
fantastic video. Not a lot of fluff. Right to the point. Thank you.
Very good video! Thanks!
Thank you. this helped out a bunch!
It is clearly explained, thanks Kevin
Hi ya Kevin. Thanks for this. Your video is the only video I've seen that demonstrates this method of MultiCam in Resolve 17 from right clicking the files in the bins. One thing I did notice, you mentioned to make sure the cams are all at the same frame rate. And it was something I feared because I generally shoot my wide angles at 4k 25fps and close ups from the other cam at HD 50fps. But using your methods for multicam it still works with the mixed frame rates. I'm using the free version 17.0 so maybe they've changed this from your version? ... And I'm glad the multicam sync works from the bins because syncing multicams from the edit or cut windows seems to be a no go with mixed frame rates. So thanks again.
Dear Kevin, please do a tutorial about Power Apps... How to create a "Sales CRM" by using power apps... That would be great help...
I know there are many tutorials available on that but non of them are as clear as your videos... Your videos are always so clear that it goes into the deep schemas of my brain instantly... Thank you for your great tutorials...
Thanks for the note Shobha! Video on Power Apps coming soon. Appreciate the suggestion!
Very clear and nice tutorial!
Thank you, this was helpful!
Really good video. well explained. step by step all i have to know regarding multicam .

Once again you saved my day Kevin! Thanks a ton!
Such a clear explanation! Great explanation, Kevin :)
thank you again a really clear tutorial! I love that i am able to have davinci also on my powerful new apple m1pro macbook. I had to switch because of so much videowork. but after 40 years coming all the way back from msdos: are you planning of doing a switch tutorial? as a win pro it could be awesome for us double apple/win users
Excellent instructional! Thanks.
Very useful video and very clear explanation. Thank you.
man I remember one year ago that I didn't know anything about editing I started watching your videos on shotcut and the journey I went through from shotcut to DaVinci resolve in a year and yet again I am watching your videos on Davinci resolve😆
You are fantastic, thank you so much
