Good point but some companies just will heard your plan and dont give a shit about it
That might be a good point and maybe it just means you want to look for companies that will value that input plus even having a plan that you can talk about in an interview can set you apart from the rest

It's true or they take your plan as their idea and make there self look good or promoted
And that's where we pivot, change companies and keep it pushing. That's what I'm doing
This is great advice for smaller or startup companies that are less rigid and open to hear and react to internal feedback.

Leadership will find someone else to do it and keep you at your current role

Do you feel that same way about SOC Analysts? I keep seeing that a SOC Analyst is a "great" position, but that is reactionary as well. Also around the clock, so I feel there is misinformation going around.

i am changing careers and starting to apply for these jobs and worried I will be in the same boat
@@DavidWilliams-ic1nn Eh, it depends. A lot of factors come into play here. My issue is that I don't have a lot of experience, despite my million dollars worth of education. If you are doing a career change, the challenge seems to be getting off the help desk, while if you're doing as a first career like me, getting on the help desk is hard but getting off it is easy
