If I ever do kanza I start with the 100 miles one. I just have to be honest with my body.

I’ve watched this about 5 times now. I showed it to my parents who are in their late 60’s and they thought it was gold. Listened to the podcast today and realised that their’s not enough credit given when it’s due. Hopefully you can find a happy place to enjoy what you do.

Nothing to be ashamed about Maven. Uou went for it and rode hard with heart. Train well before next time because you will make the cutoff, get the official finish and the finisher medal.
Watching you guys on that race has me inspired. I live back in Texas where I grew up from 1963 but had lived in Colorado from 1984 to 2012 where I had plenty of world class cycling terrain around me.
Glad you're back. I remember your first vlog as Cycling Maven: The on board race vids were cracking good. We have both "matured." Enjoying your new channel. Stay well mate, best to you and yours.

One of the best videos about the TW KOM. Most others shows beautiful scenery, weather etc and the cyclist finishing in like 5hrs.........this is a true wake up call to people considering entering the race.

Thanks so much for this video...this is on my bucket list....have ridden several times from sea level to high altitude (about 2400m) and for me it always feels a greater achievement than many continental rides where you start several hundred meters up already. The Taiwan KOM is a beast though....thanks for scarring me into taking it more seriously.

@@anthonyhomercycling "easier editions" ha ha...same amount of climbing, i'll be the same person, just with a little less time pressure...took me 4 hours to do 2400m in the Canaries so 6hrs should be do-able...

Shame the ride from Melbourne to Bendigo didn't prep you for Taiwan! :) You should do more stuff at home as well, go do Le Tape maybe, it's the last year in Jindabyne...or go do a TDF chase next year in July...either way nice effort with the Taiwan Jaundice....I meant Jaunt lol.
