So, just to drop some history on you, Queen was not the hype that day. They had some major major headliners like U2, Madonna, David Bowie, and like sooo many more big names. That's why Queen only got a 20 minute set during the day time.

That long note he held in the "Ay Oh" section was known as "The Note Heard Round the World." Almost 2 billion people saw this, and it's still considered the greatest live rock performance of all time.

It cemented the whole band, Roger, Dr. May, Freddy and John as the greatest Live band ever! No auto-tune, no-lipsync, just pure bloody talent! Freddy said in an interview he was not Queen or it's leader, Queen is a group of four people. Watch Dr May on lead guitar with his homemade Red Special" he and his father made together. John laying down the best baseline on bass guitar, while Roger is just brilliant on drums and vocals. This is TALENT! All four of them together.

Radio Ga Ga, written by Roger, the drummer, is basically a nostalgic love song to the radio and music. "All we hear is radio ga ga, radio goo goo" etc basically means that all they hear is people talking shit about the radio. This was a time when people started to watch music videos more than listening to the radio. I don't know if you've heard the song, but it kinda has the same vibe as Video Killed The Radio Star.

The guitarist is the great Brian May, considered one of the best of all time. The guitar he always uses is the Red Soecial, a guitar that he and his Dad built when he was a kid. Brian has a Doctorate in Astrophysics and is a consultant with NASA.

Me thinking, he will learn Freddie 'owns' any song he sings! This young man is so young he doesn't realize how necessary radio was for getting music back in the day. Great eye-opening reaction. Note: Queen is made up of 4 genius guys/excellent musicians... all good guys too.

When Freddie launches into the vocal exercises with a NON-Queen crowd, they respond like crazy! I won't say they didn't know Queen, but the audience wasn't there FOR Queen. (not like they came to a concert for Queen). Still, he had them in the palm of his hand. It seems like Freddie could make the crowd feel like he is there for them and them alone. That is talent.

Lady GaGa adopted her name based on this song, Radio GaGa. Lead guitarist Dr. (of astrophysics!) Brian May did write 'Hammer to Fall' and has been voted Best Rock Guitarist of All Time, but always says he's not the best technically - just pours all his emotions into his playing. You're right! It shows!

the story behind "radio gaga" is a bit long .... "Radio Ga Ga" was recorded in 1983 and released in January 1984. It was a commentary on television overtaking radio's popularity and how one would listen to radio in the past for a favourite comedy, drama, or science fiction programme. It also addressed the advent of the music video and MTV, which was then competing with radio as an important medium for promoting records. " The inspiration for this song came when Roger Taylor heard his half french son Felix utter the words "radio ca-ca" while listening to a bad song on the radio while they were in Los Angeles. :) ... other fact, Lady Gaga took his stage name from this song; she's a big Queen's fan :D

I love that you pay so much attention to the lyrics 🔥☺️ you should react to the crowd singing Bohemian rhabsody before a Green Day concert. The song was playing out the speakers on the stage and the audience started singing along 🔥 Green Day decided to let the song finish before going out and it is amazing 🔥🔥

"Bohemian Rhapsody," it embodied something very intense, which is Freddie Mercury's personality and life. Many call it the greatest song ever written. It's still one of the best-selling rock singles of all time, was voted The Song of the Millennium in 2000, and was recorded in the Guinness Book of Records as the No. 1 song of all time.

Mel Smith and Griff Rhys Jones, two British comedians filling a gap whilst the stage was got ready. Queen was added to the bill after tickets were sold so a lot of the audience were not necessarily Queen fans. The biggest bands on the Earth played there and they were blown away by Queen. Over 1.2 billion people watched this. And the world were rocking with Freddie that day
