    This is the first of your videos I've seen. I've been struggling with "helping" the ball along in the downswing forever. Very great tip presented in a quick simple way! I'm looking forward to trying it. Liked and subscribed

    Fantastic video. Talk about a light bulb moment. Just returned from the driving range. Tried to keep my right palm facing the ground for as long as possible through impact. This works! Hitting down on the golf ball does not work consistently. I'm 75 and have been playing since 20. I want to verify this a few more times at the range before using it on the course. Thank you, Ali. I would recommend that everyone give this a serious try.

    Good coverage promotes forward shaft lean ie.. stay down and rotate rotate rotate

    Been watching your content for awhile. I have been struggling with getting my low point forward enough. Lots of thin and chunky shots, from not knowing how to achieve this move. I was thinking about the lead hand instead of the trailing hand. I average around 2A with 7 iron. Going to try this tomorrow. New subscriber!

      Thanks Glen, some golfers find it easier to feel trail hand rather than lead hand.

    Hi Ali, keep you the great videos, I have a question, does de-lofting an iron effectively make a 7 iron more like a 6 or 5 iron for example?

    I can hit half shots all day with forward shaft lean. It's that half a second from the top to impact where things get all screwed up and I hit behind it. A LOT

    Great video Ali 👍 one question please, should I have shaft lean at address to help getting it at impact or should the shaft be vertical at address? HELP! 🤷🏻‍♂️ thanks 🙏🏻

      It can help but doesn't for everyone. Give it a try and let me know

    The opposite happens for me when I try to get a good lean. My club returns from the backswing very closed. I think I have figured out that this is due to me trying to keep the wrist position during my backswing and having it very closed at the top

    Question, do you push with the right arm, or pull with the left arm when trying to compress the ball

    • @AliTaylorGolf
      @AliTaylorGolf  Před 3 lety +1

      Depends which you can feel. Some golfers will be neither, just happens when the body is used correctly.

    Hi Ali, so I over hook the ball and it absolutely destroys my game. I life long problem. Can you suggest a remedy for my hook. Starts straight and high and then makes the dreaded left turn. Thank you. Jerry B.

      @claudiochisani4120 Před 3 lety

      I had the same issue, blamed it on the club face for too long. for me, it was the early release, when I stand up, extend the body, the club face closes at fast rate and the hands flip to save....In a good swing, the left hip has to clear and move backwards, that would keep you in position and prevent the dreaded hook.

    See you after lock down i am 63 year old just started playing golf after 15 years of not playing notice that distance has dropped also my swing speed play with ping g steel shaft clubs can you help please

  • @gardeningwithdrevs8024

    are we delofting the club on purpose then? why not just start the stance with the club leaned way forward and maintain thru the stroke?

    • @AliTaylorGolf
      @AliTaylorGolf  Před 2 lety

      The delofting is more down to weight/pressure shift into lead side and wrist angles at impact
