  • If you're trying to get more forward shaft lean at impact in your golf swing, then make sure that you never make this mistake. Forward shaft lean can be a great move to have in your golf swing, but if its done wrong it can be disastrous.

JChown is the best instructor on youtube right now. I have tried many ways and methods to swing the golf club but JChown's rotational method is the only one that has worked. Im still not there yet but today on the golf course I had a big Eureka moment. I admit it felt weird, really weird, but if you persist it gradually starts to feet "normal". This method is consistent and powerful. Today I hit a 250 yard drive - it felt f amazing. I am 55 years old. For the first time I feel I have hope to build a solid consistent swing.
There is a particular drill that JChown featured that was the turning point for me - its the one where you stop as you go back and check the club head angle. That drill really works.

I agree. I have been following and trying out JChown's method for about 2 months now. It has not been easy because I have always been a "handsy" type player.. I had a terrible slice with my driver and was on the verge of giving up - but today on the golf course I decided to try the driver using Chown's rotational method and suddenly it all came together. I felt weird as hell but by the 5th time is started to feel more "normal". I hit the ball 250 yards straight as an arrow. If felt amazing. I am going to do a vlog on it on my youtube channel and I will give credit to this guy. He is definitely the best instructor out there imho.

I have followed all the golf content issued - this is the best by far. If I had this advise years ago I would be on tour and not dreaming.

Great stuff, very comprehensive. I have applied something u suggested to shallow the club that has worked... more depth. Definitely can repeat on video but have a hard time getting to that last parallel spot u talk about in this video. Feels like so much further to travel to get to Last parallel from a place of depth in BS. Topic for a great video. Thanks. Loving the channel.

Well done video, JC. Two things; first thing, in today’s round, my very best irons has a slightly closed relationship to spine on backswing. Second thing - thank holy fuck, this is one of the few instruction videos that explicitly stated the importance of body rotation to square up club face. Thank you.

Hi JC, a question I’d be delighted if you could try to answer please. At the top of the back swing the left wrist forearm position can range between cupped, flat and bowed. From address to the top of the back swing the left forearm rotates clockwise regardless of what the wrist does at the top. I find that trying to strike a ball with a turn leaves the face open no matter if I’m cupped or bowed. Does the downswing require an element anti clockwise rotation in the left wrist to produce a square club face at impact.
