  • If you want to achieve a passive/modern release of the golf club, then this is the video for you! In this video i'll teach you exactly what you have to do to achieve a more stable release with the club exiting left around your body. Become more consistent with a passive/modern release!

    Really, really good. I can think of 50 videos you could do. Under the theme of "unlearning old golf teaching."

    Mate, this is gold. Thanks for all of what you teach us. I’ve always struggled with the release and always hitting pull hooks or pulling the ball left of target line. I’m going to try this out today at the range. My range in Tokyo doesn’t have any grass to stick a cane into … any ideas?

    • @parmark9746
      @parmark9746 Před 3 lety +1

      Use a range bucket, and stick the alignment stick or old club thru that. Should do the trick!

    • @honkler6969
      @honkler6969 Před 3 lety

      @@parmark9746 thanks! If only we had range buckets in Japan. It’ll a fully automated system where balls come up thru tubes right onto the tee … I’ll need to find something similar and bring it in myself. Thanks again.

    i have a strong grip in both hands. at about P8.5 when the club exits my back i can see a bit of clubface, but at P9 all i see is the top line. i think my rate of closure is pretty good, around 1500-2000rpm on the quad w/ 6 iron at 95mph. can't help but think i could get a lower rate because of my release. with a strong grip, is it even possible to have the whole clubface visible DTL all the way to finish? any idea what your rate of closure is? love the channel btw - modern advice and easy to digest.

    Hi JC. Love your videos and especially on this philosophy 👍👍
    One question: I have been working on this for a while now and improved a lot. But with this rotation, I struggle now and then with hitting pulls and/or pull-draws finishing too far left. Any idea or video already treating this ?

    • @jchowngolf
      @jchowngolf  Před 3 lety

      Thanks Pat! It’ll be hard to say without seeing your swing, but make sure the club face isn’t too shut 👍🏼

    Many thanks JC : CR (Continuous) Rotation = [this is KEY - the job has NOT finished when we hit the ball - for fluidity we need an objective post impact because of the difference/lag between swing mechanics and brain mechanics!! ] + SCF [ Square Club Face ] = PS [ Pure Strike ]

    What is differnce between in-to-out and in-to-in (clubface square 0 degree face to target) Where should the balls go? and how to make a draw shot from in-to-in body release concept. Thx in advance for answer.

  • @jamesmc81
    @jamesmc81 Před rokem

    I feel I can do this better with a weak grip. If my grip is even neutral I push it left or spin it right. Feel I'm at impact with a flexed left wrist, feels good and contact is more consistent. Does what I'm saying make sense? 😅

    Another excellent video but it’s really difficult to see exactly what your hands are doing when it’s filmed down the line and at full speed. Would love to see the hands/wrist conditions moving through the ball but filmed face on to the camera and a lot lot slower 👍

    Question, how do you avoid pulling the ball when rotating like this? I can rotate more but end up pulling the ball

    • @maxholliday6851
      @maxholliday6851 Před 3 lety

      Shallow the club or weaken your grip, therefore opening the clubface a touch for a cheeky fade.

    • @larryc7775
      @larryc7775 Před rokem

      @@maxholliday6851 Also make sure your hands get deep enough on backswing so that the path comes more from inside or becomes shallower...I've been working on this as well and the hands need to get shallower. Sorry JC, but look up Eric Cogorno-4 O'clock drill on UTube. It's the cure for sure.

    You don’t even release the club like that. Look at your gd swing!!! Your hands roll over. Stop giving out all your false info.
