BMW i8 Exhaust Challenge

Listen to 9 different varieties of exhaust systems. Team FMS Performance custom built this exhaust kit utilizing all 3 inch mandrel piping and Borla, Magnaflow, Flowmaster, Vibrant, Stock & Muffler delete. The owner decided on the Flowmaster Super 10 and is loving it.

After I saw this video I replaced my stock muffler with flowmaster super 10 on my i8. I assure you that whoever does this will regret it. Insulation in flowmaster is really bad which creates very loud drone noise in the cabin.

@@RS-xh4yk yup I removed it within 24 hours. Cuz the drone was unbearable. I'm considering either catless downpipe with stock muffler or adding J pipe to current setup. Let me know what you do

Backbox delete had the best voice in my opinion. Its a 3 pot so straight pipe in place of backbox will do it for me.

Unbelievable! The muffler added sound and it was too quiet. I think mounting it closer to engine where the flex pipe is and then run two mustang tips right through the rear bumper to get the sound out from under the car. Nice thing is 3 poppers sound like straight 6/v6.

I think the flow master 10 sounded the best, but still not too great but descent. I think people need to take into consideration that these exhaust sound good considering what youre working with. This isnt a v8 and i think people need to realize that with it being a hybrid, youre not going to get it to sound too growly. I think all things considered, the flow master 10 is really good for this car besides the loud cabin sound that ive heard it produces. Its a 3 cylinder hybrid, what do most people expect honestly? It sounds good for what it is. Its not a car that was built to roar loud and pound it out on a track.

Personally I believe that this ruins the idea of the I8, if BMW wanted it to be loud, it would be.
I'm still curious how one makes enough money to afford such car anyways tho (although it's currently cheaper then an exported Tesla)
