Nice to know this information. Maybe in the future I may need these, but right now I just do sitting down SIM racing games. My Quest 3 Controllers only used for accessing menus, so I am not wildly swinging controllers around. I do have the BoboVR S3 Pro headstrap and enjoy it. Got the head strap after watching your other videos.

I just tried to follow your link and I logged in to my BoboVR account (bought the S3 through them a month or two ago solely based on your review - and I love it) but it's only showing me a $2.5 discount for a total cost of $22.50 rather than $20.00. That's not a deal breaker just FYI their discount isn't showing up as 20% for a returning customer.

I have a set of grips just like these, comfortable yes, but they partially block the sensors, so I get some weird arm glitching at lateral positions

Been looking to punch the go button on a Quest 3 for awhile now, glad I'm holding off as more and more banging accessories are being made so I've got my final price to budget and save for.
I have quite big hands and I find the Q3 controllers very comfortable as is. But I'm intrigued.

Dude, I’m waiting for the BoboVR B100 and dock battery play test review. How long can those three swappable batteries make the Quest 3 last for?
They're infinity.. even just two batteries with the dock: one battery adds 3 hours playtime and the other one on the dock charges in 2 so you can cycle FOREVER :)
2 would be infinite playtime already, I got the dock today and it really does charge battery to 80% in 1 hour, That was using my Anker 735 65w wall charger.
If you go for 3 batteries get a 100w wall charger if you want fast charge, I ordered another 2 batteries but my vr time I can get away with 1-2 batteries so it doesn't matter if they trickle charge slow.
I got 3 extra b100 batteries for a total of 4, still waiting for my dock to arrive next week. I can kill a b100 in a little over an hour when using Quest Game Optimizer with maxed out overclocking.

I can get 2+ hours out of one battery, Casual gaming.
By the time I run out of juice the other batteries are charged, I didn't even really need 3, 2 would have been enough but better to go overboard of course. ;)
Wish they would have put a quick release paricord tightening strap rather than Velcro. With the Valve Index Knuckles it is easy to tighten them for play and then loosen them to take them off. It should just be a rule of thumb: when possible just copy Valve.
Its nice theyre making more but they should focus on the carrying case.

The $8 grips are still great too. Maybe wait for the review on these just in case? I feel like no matter what I'm keeping the $8 ones on one of my Quests
the replaceable is a big deal for me if they acutally sell them, i had the kiwi ones for my quest 2 and the strap ripped. so i messaged kiwi support if there is a way a can purchase just the strap but they sad no. replaceable and offering a replacement is the key part.

Literally bought my new grips from AMVr yesterday and are arriving today an I see Thai video now, I love Bobo Vr products!
Although to be fair I have a AMVR facial interface & and Face Pad and love it so not un trusty of their products either.
But not as loyal as I am to BoboVR after years of great products
Mmmm, looks like they won't play nice with my Olen VR gunstock controller attachments. I do like that they make the grips longer. God, they are so short.
Love bobovr but silicon grips just...aren't it. The battery door ones are much more secure feeling.
replacing batteries is so outdated. and the grips that hang onto the controller by essentially being a sleeve... also a big VR sin. I constantly have issues with my pro controllers' straps blocking my trigger from fully extending back out on it's own, and getting in the way of buttons on the top... Unfortunately, gonna stick with the official grips that connect to the battery door and interface wirelessly with the charging dock

Not BoboVR, but there's a company called NexiGo that sells a ~$55 one on Amazon that uses the three pin pogo connector on the bottom of the headset just like the official dock, charges the controllers too but looks like it uses a replacement battery door with pogo pins rather than fully wireless like the official one so can't use with hand strap style grips if using the controller charger
Every grip that has a metal grommet and buckle on the top have dug into my hands. Really disappointed in that design.

@@martint8986its different for everyone really. i have controller grips with those metal pieces and while they do leave a slight indent on my skin after a longer session, theyre never painful. i wouldnt doubt if op has their grips too tight and its putting too much pressure on their hand
Yes, horrible design. I’ve seen better designs with Q2. And no battery door? Guess I won’t buy and I’ll just wait more.

Those metal divots on the top have killed my experience with other Quest 3 grips, so I'm not getting my hopes up. 😔 My favorite grips for the Quest 2 were AMVR's grips with the elastic straps and the buckles at the bottom, but they don't seem to have any plans on bringing those back.
Yeah I mentioned that as my main worry because I have had more than one grip with those mess me up! Testing will happen asap

Welp. My appexxino extended grips are going back now. The tracking on them sucks for high speed games (i.e. beatsaber/synthriders or any fast swinging)
Were you using the black or white ones? I used the white ones for the longest time but I feel like my black Apex or even Meta ones are messing up my Expert+ gameplay somehow
@@jaybratt I'm using the "textured" version of the black ones. I just don't see holes in silicon over the top of the tracking ring area as a viable solution anymore. Slight movements can cause them to shift and I'd guess they weren't all that precisely measured in the first place :/. I notice it a bit more on synth riders maps on master difficulty, but neither is well suited for the tracking restrictions imo
I don't care how good they are, those buckles will go into your skin (i used to have callus from similar ones on my q2)

These just look like downgraded, standard drop shipped grips. Except worse without battery doors.

I used to watch for Quest 3 news, but I have to assume that Bobo is giving you some extra special affiliate link commission. I otherwise just can't see why you're advertising and covering them so hard. Their quality is nothing more than okayish and their halo strap sits very uncomfortable and insecure. There are much better alternatives like KIWI, so I have to assume you're best interest is not a well informed Quest user, but your bank account.

@GFSCN69 Totally disagree. Jay is probably the only You Tube personality who gives honest and completely objective reviews even IF a company sponsors a certain product. And the only reason he does so many BOBOVR products is that they have come out with several new accessories in a short period of time. You attacked the wrong reviewer, there are several other reviewers who do deserve your suspicion. Jay is not one of them
