More of this!!
@Hamish Banish
You are extremely ignorant.
my all time favourite England Rugby Union player, when Billy got the ball, you stand up to see what's gonna happen...........
There was nothing more exciting than seeing Robinson get passed the ball, both feet off the ground - no one knowing which foot would hit first, driving him off on one of his slalom runs. There are few players that make you jump out of your seat.... Robinson is definitely one of them.
I’m a NZer and we always had massive respect for this guy when he was playing. He was world class!
Go Blacks! Thank you NZ for the greatest rugby ever! Iam 67 and was exposed to the All-Blacks when started playing at University at 19 years of age. They dominated then, and never relinquished #1. Great role models. Cheers.
One of the greatest players to have ever played both codes. It would be fair to say many of the highly fancied UK rugby union backs were often not rated amongst the All Black fans. Robinson was certainly not in that category . His 302 appearances for Wigan and 19 tests for GB and England had already marked him out as a world class player. He then moves to Union and plays half a century for the England side and 5 tests for the Lions. Could anyone do more to prove themselves? Huge respect here from New Zealand. Simply the best as Tina would put it..
Great video - nonsense title. I believe pretty much anyone who knows anything about Jason Robinson has nothing but the utmost respect for him. He was respected at the highest level in both codes. Please can we dispense with the increasing trend for click-bait titles!
Well said, totally agree
100%
@Terminus Est no don't; fantastic video, terrible title!
Yes spot on
JR is a legend and always will be
He became great friends with Tuigamala at Wigan , Tuigamala was quite protective of him from what I herad, loved watch Jason....awesome player/man!!
Im a south African. Jason is one of my favorite players ever. I was at his farewell game at Wembley. He was a special player and one of the best in the new era. I bow...im thankfull..it was a gr8 pleasure watching you.
He not only makes the switch to Union but captains the teams at some stage. Bro this guys is something else🙇🏽♂️
I just watched that and it didn't change the way I see Jason. He comes across just as he played, with passion , loyalty and determination to succeed. A total legend.
As a S. African, I admired him great to watch top man.
Hasn't changed how I feel about him at all. He's still a hero, a legend, an inspiration.
What a legend..... Remember playing him in rugby 08.... No one could catch this man 😂
Every time Jason Robinson got the ball in that game there was a 95% chance of him just sprinting across the whole pitch and scoring 😂😂
@@AAdams456 yes 🤣🤣🤣
@@AAdams456 that 5% was me getting caught by Habana.
😁😁so true
Rugby League and Rugby Union legend .
As a Bok supporter , huge respect for Jason. One of my fav players
A true Leeds lad-Leeds not signing him will haunt them forever.well done Jason on everything you have done in your life a inspiration to many.
You'd have thought they'd have learned after letting Ellery Hanley go first to Bradford then on to Wigan.
I'm really shocked because Jason went to our school to tell us about his life and he said he was poor when he was young but then found rugby at his school and loved it and this is where he is
Shortish, slippery, nuggetty, tough as nails....and faster than a cat on a hot tin roof! Jason Robinson one of the immortals.
Wigan were blessed to have him and so was Rugby Union in 2003 ...he as the icing on the cake to what was a brilliant squad, my No.1 player of all time.
I knew he was a Beeston lad like myself, but didn't realise how close he grew up to where I did - albeit about 15 years after me. I recognised some of the streets he wandered as well as the high shot towards the end.
He was just the most amazing player, rarely having a bad game, always likely to change a game with his speed and agility, plus his defensive skills. I concur with a few who view the title as clickbait - nearly everyone who has taken a modicum of interest in Jason thinks pretty highly of him.
He was always my favourite rugby players, watching countless clips on CZcams of him running through whole teams. Playing rugby whilst living in Dubai I got to see him and got to train with him along with Martin offiah. Still got my shirt signed by those two in a glass frame on my wall.
Very lucky to see Jason play for Wigan on many occasions, He is up there with anyone in any sport. An inspiration to any kid and like I tell my grandchildren, never give up on your dreams,
That in-and-away he put on Chris Latham when he had about a metre to work with in that Lions test against Australia back in 2001. 👌🏽
Yeah. No one could have made that tackle.
Gifted and hard working, deserved everything he got. Great man.
One of my all time favorite wingers
Nothing but respect for Jason Robinson. 👊🏿
One of my fave players. One of the very few who are world class in both codes.
One of the best ever. A true inspiration for all men and boys.
Your a Legend Jason....Always loved watching you play with the ball in hand wether it was for Wigan n England Rugby League or England Rugby Union. 2003 RWC in Australia was a defining moment...A legend. Admire from New Zealand via Italia.😁👋🖐👋🇳🇿👍🇮🇹
A true champ. From nothing into something and somebody. He excelled through sports and found fame. I was a huge fan of Jason. A very humble lad that played in Rugby League and right thru to union. Was always positive about life and his sports discipline. You're a legend. Regards from Bougainville Island. PNG.❤😂
Brilliant what a man, player and down to earth guy. Well respected throughout both codes and genuinely loved by all supporters in those two codes of rugby. Amazing.
I always liked him and had alot of respect for him. Humble and passionate guy. Don't know anyone that would've disliked him tbh
From South Africa ~ great respect
Billy Whizz. What a player.
Jason Robinson should be a role model for every kid in the UK. One of the very best players ever in both codes of rugby and a grounded, mature young man.
He is an absolute legend of the oval ball game and a inspiration for us all (from a South African). Love these videos, show us more Rugby Pass
A very humble human being.
He adapted to union brilliantly. You watch him, when he goes into contact the ball always came back .
I am actually moved to tears watching this. A fine example of what you can achieve if you have the desire, the spirit, the passion and the will. Oh, and immense talent! An outstanding player and an outstanding man. Thank you for all the smiles you have given over the years Jason.
What a player and what a man!!! Truely one of the great players and someone the young players can look up too
Grew up watching him. He was a monster in the field and the best winger of his era. Nothing but RESPECT
A true gentleman, and an incredible sportsman that I still love to watch in his heyday. 👏👏
From rugby league to his try in the rugby World Cup final.amazing. Don’t forget this man had to mark Jonah aswell
Great video, Jason's name is one we can all look up to at our club.
And your club (along with all the others like it) should be looked up to by all of us. The work you do and the opportunities that you give young people to grow and change is mostly overlooked but is invaluable and a credit to you.
Thanks.
Well said Ian.
without your club, there wouldn't have been a Jason Robinson. Imagine the loss to rugby. An absolute inspiration
A legend on & off the pitch & he gave myself & my family warmth & compassion, when we needed it most.
Yes more of this. It is positive and it inspire people to be more in live. We all need good heroes in live.
Thanks
The most excitng player I have seen and such an unassuming guy too
Jason was magic to watch on the field. He lifted so many hearts, even them from opposing sides.
I am a Wire fan and he simultaneously terrified and exhilarated me. Sometimes you couldn't follow him with your eyes from the terraces.
Absolute legend of a player and man.
@RugbyPass why does this video have subtitles? There's no thick accent here at all. Everyone sounds clear and perfectly intelligible. It's a distraction from an otherwise brilliant video.
Jason Robinson is such an exciting talented and courageous player I loved watching him on the wing.
What a footy Legend awesome JR 1 of the best footy athletes to ever play both codes inspirational journey well achieved 🏉🏉
Absolute legend.
What a rockstar! I would love to see a documentary about his career.
Jason is the best winger I have ever seen. he was naturally quick (which all wingers are) with mesmeric footwork but he was not a huge guy who could barrel over defenders so used speed of thought and agility to make the most breathtaking plays.
Lomu was great, Habana was electric, Offiah was beautiful to watch but, for me Billy Whizz was the best. (BTW my dad says Brian Bevan was better than them all :) )
And he's a nice guy too.
Both Jason and my dad. ;)
Billy should be part of the England set-up. Coaching and mentoring talent untapped. Sale are very lucky to have him.
Read his biography. By his own admission, when he was at Wigan and due to his demons he massively went off the rails.
Fame has that tendency, but another true legendary figure came on the scene and transformed him into what you see in this video.
Inga Tuigamala. Definitely THE BEST player I ever had the privilege to watch.
I have not read his biography - but if I understand correctly, he had a number of challenges early on - especially with alcohol. I was under the impression that Inga the Winger helped mentor him - and I believe JR found faith and that helped turn him around. Also - Inga is a good topic of discussion. From (poor) memory, when Tuigamala first went to Wigan, he did not play for months. I remember some story about how he trained with a coach who had been some track star in British athletics. Tuigamala supposedly ran stadium steps - lost huge amounts of body fat, but kept the same weight and hip size - which speaks to how much muscle he must have put on. Given that Inga had represented the All Blacks, it speaks to the gulf at the time between what was still mostly amateur Union and professional League. I recall watching Tuigamala at the Middlesex 7s. Man was an absolute beast!
@@Ash-en1pk Booze is such a large part of UK culture, especially sport. I have played cricket (low level Yorkshire leagues) when we were an umpire short one of the lads would do it. And sometimes with a full pint glass of lager in one pocket of the overall.
This guy made me feel ok to be a short arse as long as you`v got lightning pace you are a killer on the field and he made a lot of giants look like beginners
He certainly did.
He was master of the side-step, at pace
Legend in NZ and in rugby 08
Why isn't Jason on the TV more? He'd make a great pundit.
Agreed, grate voice, good looking, and he makes you proud to be British/English. We all love him and we should see more of him. Absolute hero
When he went on either good the bad the rugby/the house of rugby with Hask and tinds he insinuated that it was racism in the higher ups in rugby in England, but that wasn't specifically for punditry just a man around rugby even at club level, I think
Totally awesome player. The current England team needs someone like him to make things happen!
Absolute legend, one of the best of the best
Complete legend
Hasn't changed anything one of the all time greats
As a South African, always like him
The stats say it all. As good as it gets. Absolutely remarkable player.
Class guy always will be.
i remember this guy...such an awesome stepper....twinkle toes......
Great bloke and decent human being.
Hardly. Everyone knows he's a beautiful man, and a solid gold legend.
Thanks for being you,Billy Whizz, from a Welshman to you Jason.
Great guy - brilliant role model..
One of the greats of World Rugby!
Rest in love iga
I love this player - and I'm a Scot
What a player !up there with the greatest !
Champion of a man…👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Jason Robinson and Cheslin Kolbe are 2 of the greatest runners with the ball I've ever seen
I remember seeing Jason Robinson when he played for Bath in 1996-97.
Top guy. Deserved all he got and as he says - you have to make the sacrifice ie work your butt off
What a role model. He and Brian Habana are very similar in their ability to remain humble. Let's hope that the Lions have a great trip in our country 🇿🇦. But I am hoping they don't win!!!
As an ex second row that played for 35 years I love South African rugby and their power game. Guys like Jason and Brian are a different species to the likes of me. I can only watch in awe.
I love Bokke rugby, but I hope we beat you.
Good luck in the tests though.
Inspirational stuff, love it !!!!!!!!!!!!
Legend.. i loved playing him on the playstation 2006 game hehe so quick
He's aged really well. Damn good rugby player, always threatens the defense.
Well I'll tell you why Mr Robinson, God Loves you and to anyone reading this, He is a good Father so much so that He gave up His one and Only Son to take our punishment upon himself so that we may become sons and daughters in His Kingdom. God Bless
Except, like all gods, your god doesn't exist too. Shame that 🤷
What a players JR was, he could go round you in a phone box. A top man too.
Very inspiring. Thank you.
Simply the best. Thank you
Miss that excitement when Jason got the ball, and set the grass on fire !!!
Chelsin Colby, the new Jason Robinson. You see the fear in the opposition eyes when he starts to run.
Legend.
goog on ya Jason... love your video and love that you did it..
Well as an Aussie, mixed feelings of course - he broke our hearts many times. But yes, an absolute legend of the game they play in heaven. Interesting to see where he came from.
awesome. thanks rugbypass.
What a great bloke
my favourite rugby player EVER!
Great video. Great player.
Why did this happen to me? I think you happened to it. One of my all time favourite players.
good player, good man
Working class people who play rugby like Jason are the exception. The class system in this country means it will always be a divided sport.
What a man
LEGEND!!
Respect. Nuff said
