We know Mous has absolutely nailed their phone cases, but have they nailed their backpacks?! Especially this Day Backpack as it's a bit different from their other bags..
As opposed to security being its #1 focus like their other bag, the Extreme Commuter Backpack, this pack focuses more on style! Not only does it have a super sleek and clean aesthetic but it also has some great weatherproof materials that are also very lightweight. It comes in at 20L which I think is just a great EDC size, this will not be a big bulky bag you have to lug around with your day to day essentials.

Super nice bag and caught my attention. I'm a frequent traveler and use a backpack for my electronics and stuff, and and no luggage strap is a huge deal breaker. Sticking with my Aer bag. Great review!
Thanks for sharing, and much appreciated!
Really like the addition of the deminsions of the bag and pockets to the review.
thanks for that feedback!
The review that I've been waiting for!!!
sorry for the wait!
G'day mate. Mum use the Extreme for a scrapbook project. It has enough capacity for her needs including mini & macro tools & materials. Extra attachment/mods on the shoulder straps enabling quick excess for her shades, flash light, metro card & tac pen etc. Great alternatives but not cost friendly. Cheers mate.
cheers matey!
Yes!!! Ty for mentioning that particular material feels great but eventually does peel!
To clarify - I do not know if it peels or not. Just that materials like this CAN peel over time
Thank you for giving dimensions and weight. Key specs when making decisions on backpacks, totes, handbags, etc.
As always love your reviews. Thanks.
glad it was helpful!
I was waiting for this review. Thank you!!!!
sry for the wait!
Informative review. Thanks!
cheers!
Thank you.
You're welcome!
This is a very nice one… don’t particularly like the logo, but no strong negative feelings either.. materials look great…
Agreed!
Great review 👍
cheers!
I think I may have just been swayed towards Sympl Commuter Backpack.
I love the aesthetic of this pack though
Can't wait to review the Commuter Backpack, it looks very interesting
Nice review! I would love to see a review on the Bigidesign Ti backpack if you can get your hands on it. They are normally known for the amazing pens they make.
I’ll check em out 💪🏻
That bag is very very pretty. One of the best looking bags I've seen in a good while... It pleases me.. yes.. it pleases me.. 👍
i am pleased you are pleased
@@Nomads.Nation I am pleased. You have pleased me. Well done. 🤣🤪🤣
@@linedwell Please please stop!
@@lanceklein2746 Never! 🤪
Aaron, This pack reminds me of the Torch by Unit 1 with a hint of Peak Design. The Torch looks like a pretty cool pack itself geared for biking. Mous did a good job on this bag.
Never heard of Unit 1 - I’ll check it out!
Damn the unit-1 looks sick. Good find!
Looking forward to you checking out Stubble and Co, and also, the new Osprey Archeon series.
Me too! I’ve got a S&C roll top I’ll be reviewing soon
Do you have a review for the Hyper HyperPack Pro Backpack with Find My Compatibility? I can't seem to find any reliable reviews on this backpack.
Never heard of it, I'll add it to our wish list. Thanks for the rec!
I like that white (off white? creme?). The bag design sort of reminds me of a slicked out, less-bikey Life Behind Bars Breakaway.
yea the color is lovely... for now
Can you review the Tomtoc Voyage T50?
I'll add to our wish list :)
Would love to see a review of trakkes new bannoch pro.
Hopefully soon!
Imo, if the price is a tad cheaper, it will be an "interesting" bag to own really. A real EDC, nothing crazy, very functional, special in its own way. On the side note, great channel, very good presenter which authentic charisma. But i havent seen much love for thule bags, why so? Just got thule subterra 2 travel bag 26L, yet to try.
Thanks so much! I've heard great things about Thule but haven't gotten a chance to review their gear yet - hoping to soon!
I really like this bag the aesthetic is sick, but your backpack I think is more practical.
I'll just keep on saving 😂
Im not gonna argue that ;)
😂
Did you pick this colorway to match your shoes?
I wish haha
I've been using Mous cases for 5 years now and must say I am quite impressed with the brand as such. Having said this I kinda like the logo for exactly THAT reason... You have this serious business looking bag, but lets be honest, a little playful logo never harmed nobody and it kinda loosens up this serious business look. So yeah, I take it. Compare it to bellroy, the owl also looks not so serious. Having said this as well: I need a recommendation: Kapten & Son Bergen Pro or Bellroy Tokyo Totepack Compact? I really love the look of the Bellroy and its organisation. But I also love the fact that Kapten and Son made a similar bad with waterproof zippers.
great points! I've never heard of Kapten so I can't say for sure unfortunately
@@Nomads.Nation Now that you said it, I actually couldn't find reviews for the bag except for the ones the company did themselves. Question is, am I abled and willing to pay 120€ to try out a bag?
Maybe you can recommend something: I am looking for a bag, approx. 14L. Shall fit a 14" laptop, I need a waterbottle pocket on the outside of the bag to hold an umbrella because if its wet I don't want it inside the bag. However I will also need a bottle pouch inside the bag, for my actual drinking bottle. Other that that I want a meshpocket similar to the Toyko Totepack Compact because of its elasticity to fit my Ray Bans with their case. Plus enough room to fit a light jacket and a seperate compartment for a book. Top that with waterproof zippers and voilá, my dream bag.
@@svenv.1182 you might have to make your own bag lol cuz I don't know any that ticks all those boxes. The Able Carry 13 is the closest I can think of
@@Nomads.Nation Thanks, I checked out the Able Carry and though it looks really nice and they offer international shipping, I wasn't able to find a retailer in my area. I got a great deal on the Bellroy Tokyo Totepack Compact now, though. So I will check how that bag works in everyday life for me and if it doesn't, I will go on to the next bag. Keep up the great work.
Vertical zipper? Where did I see that one before?
😏
“Holy hot damn” 😂 using that one
love that line 😂
I backpacked all over the place to this backpack
get it
Why not get the Decathlon NH500 roll-top for about a third of the price, which also has much easier access to the main compartment, too?
I’ll be sure to check it out!
@@Nomads.Nation if you get the chance to get Decathlons (I think their North America name is Quechua), I would also suggest taking a look at the Decathlon Forclaz travel 500 40L backpack. For me, these two options are just about unbeatable in the 23/32 (NH500) and 40L (Forclaz) market segments.
Love the British accent
cheers haha
FINALLLYYY
🫶🏽
The Mous logo is really childish. I loved your mouse voice!
🐁 😂
Peak Design everyday backpack
what about it
Worth noting the black version costs £50 more than the other colours (at least in UK). Which is disappointing (not like its xpac or anything).
And the lack of self stranding puts me off
that's very interesting! I didn't notice that, thanks for the heads up
Love your accent!😂👌👌👌👏
😉
I wish the bag was symmetrical with the bottle holder. There isnt ant reason to not put on on the other side. Same with the hidden pockets.
it gives it a more minimalist feel imo, but I do see your point
👍
❤️
This looks like mous, looked at the modern day farer and said: "hey I can do the same but worse.... But mine stand wooh hoo!"
I see absolutely no compelling reason whatsoever to buy this over a modern dayfarer v2.
The mdf2 at least gives you access to main compartment even when top is closed and you have a separate laptop compartment.
The only reason I can see would be the materials and overall "neatness" of the pockets inside where the mdf2 now feels a little dated.
I hope David, is looking at a v3 with nice sunglasses pocket and better arrangement inside and maybe drop the whole shoe compartment for a self standing. And make the water bottle holder tighter.
Agreed the shoe compartment is the main reason why i wont invest in one it’s such a completely unneeded thing for most peoples edc. I want a nice everyday bag not a gym bag you can be an everyday bag without being an everything bag which is what i feel the mdf2 tries to hard to be. I def want a v3 without the shoe pouch and self standing is such a good feature on bags its the main reason I’m contemplating sending the Bellroy venture ready pack back to amazon it cant stand up for shit unless its fully over packed.
@@zoamel8066 I mean, it's not a big deal in day to day life, but yeah I would love for a v3 to have a model a) with just the same design improved and a version b that would swap the the second side pocket and bottom foot access for a side opening to main compartment to pull a camera out for example.
Because their ads are super tacky, they will struggle to overcome that brand-up. Logo, No go.
I don't mind their ads, but that logo... not my fav
Beautiful accent 😂
cheers gov'ner! lol
3:25 I'm not into sporting products with visible logos unless the company is paying me to be their brand ambassador. Why should I advertise for them for free?
its hard to find quality unbranded gear out there
@@Nomads.Nation there’s one. It’s called Fyro ☝️
Looks like the Bellroy venture 22L or the modern dayfarer. But that ugly logo can’t be unseen 🤷🏻♂️
agreed, it's not my fav logo
Boo no trolley sleeve
agreed
Nice review, but next time could you please make a small change? I really prefer when switching from Pros to Cons that you move the bag from right to left. THANKS. 😂
haha I'll try 😂
Don't know if I like the bag a lot. Weird design and cheap materials...best to stick to the proven brands. I have a feeling bag will not last long.
I can't agree that the materials are cheap, I just don't know much about them. They could be premium af!
