The complaint was about odor, but not body odor. They were implying individual, unrelated black people smelled like weed, which is why it seems racially motivated and why (I would assume; I'm not a Roxstar lawyer) they have a good case.

@itsrox Summer House is about a group of upper mobile young blacks who spend 2 weeks in Martha Vineyard. It's not necessarily about hooking up but following them and the conflict that comes along. It delves a little into the history of blacks going to the Vineyard. Also it talks about Greek life a little.

So basically, Puffy is like Caligula, just depraved. And I definitely think Puff had something to do with Tupac and Biggie’s death (allegedly). And Biggie, allegedly, was going to leave Bad Boy.
I love Summer House Martha's Vineyard because it's low drama. But that may have been the reason it was canceled. I loved watching everyone. Maybe if they have the cast interact with some locals or throw a few locals in the show it will be even better.
The issue is folks let him get away with this ish for years who is he to have such power over this many people!?
Erica Banks is now on LHHATL. I didn't even know she had a BBL...it looked so good and gave naturally curvy look. Idk why she did that to herself. She's also only like 25. Summerhouse is weird. It’s supposed to be set in Martha’s Vineyard where there historically wealthy African American ppl but the ppl on the show don’t come from wealth or have any ties to the Vineyard so it doesn’t make a lot of sense. Also the ppl are very young and personally I could watch a little older ppl but 20 something broke ppl on a vacation arguing for no reason is not going to get my view.
Also there’s a mixed guy on there w a wh ite girlfriend and he’s trying to strong arm her on the show as a cast member and I think bravo is like yeah no lol

I love Summer House MV! It’s about a group of friends who go to MV on vacation for 2 weeks. It’s a lot of partying and different activities like horseback riding, tours, working out, etc. They’re mostly in their early 30s, established and well rounded. The viewers had to bully Bravo to give them a reunion. It’s really sad that they got paused, especially with a growing audience. They shoot in like August so it seems like they were already planning to pause the show, even though they were talking about next season on the reunion. I don’t think Bravo anticipated it being popular bc it’s a Black show. I heard they put other shows on pause like Vanderpump Rules and canceled Bravo Con this year.

Summer House MV has potential, but they need a cast shake up already. A lot of them were miserable this season, weak ratings, and honestly MV is very sleepy. I think moving the show elsewhere (Miami/Vegas/NOLA) might help.

Rox I know you have to report on Puffy but I’m over it. Let’s get on with the trial. I love SUMMER HOUSE! Just a bunch of professional African Americans with light weight shade and drama. I’m hoping they’re just looking to reorganize the show. It’s not ratchet which is what I like about it.
I don't know Rox. They didn't say what the odor was? Too many of us using perfumed laundry detergent are using too much in the wash. Not to mention that the scents are being baked into the walls of the dryer. I can smell some folk before I can see them. When 2 or 3 show up in the same place I'm sickened. I use fragrance free detergent but the dryer is full of different fragrances cooked in because other members of house love the scents. I have an allergy to the scents. I can wash my clothes but can no longer use the dryer. I have to get me a small dryer for my use only.
So what kind of odor? It didn't necessarily have to be body odor.

I watch both summer houses and the last season of winter house. Martha's vineyard had a completely different vibe. The other ones are like let's party, get drunk, and fight every weekend. Martha's vineyard was more like, let's all have dinner and wine and chit chat. They should have put more people like Shaniece on if they were trying to make a black version of those.
They both have a main married couple, but Silas is hardcore and strict. Compared to Kyle who is a giant manbaby with a mullet. Amanda is like a child compared to Jasmine. They used completely different types of characters for MV and slapped the summer house name on it.
