I hope that if it does indeed have cash prizes, respawn will put an EULA or something similar before you join, saying if you cheat they reserve the right to take legal action, and then they have to follow up on that promise, by actually taking the cheaters to court

The cups will be a godilla vs Kong thing. Similar to what warzone did. Look at the lore videos in the season tab. It will be team horizon vs team octane and the players get to choose who wins by playing.
This explains, in particular, the leader board, octane signing up, and match history. Also yes that bloodhound pose is indeed part of the heirloom pack and is mythic tier.
Also explains the octane and horizon frame in the reward shop for this event

I feel like they are trying to force octane to win. He got heirloom recolor heirloom skin this season which will open up more people to playing him. All horizon has is the downgraded cinematic that has become the normal way of getting lore. So personally I feel like the team horizon vs octane is rigged.
Man I swear Apex haters be hating (albeit for good reason), they for real just need to fix the cheaters and the server tick rate and this game would be phenomenal, and if not it’s at least a step in a good direction.

I personally don't think that the "cups" events or tournaments hold much significance or could have a strong impact. In my opinion, most Apex players don't care about social events because the majority of players now play solo. Maybe it will have an impact in Asia, but I don't think it will be relevant in other regions. Overall, I believe that these events are overhyped and not really worthy of teasing.
with regard to cups, I doubt EA will give real money as prizes, maybe apex coins or heirlooms or something but I really don't think EA would do irl money
Truth. They don't even wanna pay their own devs, aint no way they're gonna give out cash prizes to gamers considering how greedy of a company EA is

But it’s really not that different from ranked. You’re going to have people using exploits and literally stealing money from people who don’t want to cheat.

Yep... Cups will be Great... for about a week... and then the lack of adequate sound, the saturation of cheaters and hackers... and the bugs that will wipe your progression will make it ALL worth while!!! :)
So on the lore part of things the new contender is probably altar time gauntlet in the background 😅

I've been saying this for years, the devs do care about the game they have created and worked on, EA doesn't however and only cares about the money
I think Apex source engine is not versatile enough to add new stuffs , fixes, and to run higher tick servers that's why they are taking so long to fix simple things.
Any idea when the breakout challenges will be fixed

I finally got heirloom shards and got to choose my first heirloom just the other day after actually having fun playing

There was 100% a silent buff to the r-99. It’s not what it was last season. But it’s better than what it was 2 weeks ago. It was unusable at the start of the season

It is not even a debate. PK has better range, better dmg and better consistency. Dunno why that other guy would say that stiffy has better range as that is objectively not true. Easily tested.
The peacekeeper is much stronger but requires better aim, where as the mastiff is more forgiving in term of aim but more might need more shots to down enemies since theres more spread
I gotta say I agree with Hal's take that dropship changes to ALGS could be really terrible. how is making someone drop somewhere terrible or alternatively better than any other show skill. cool you won because you got lucky

Please give examples where this happened. The one time I saw something similar was when CCE was in line to qualify to PRO League and Eurice landed on them in the last game. However, PROS should be ready. You're going to flip the whole thing over 1 case? I mean there's roller aim assist, cheaters, now you get safely auto drop into your POI because you can't fly or defend your POI. Please make sure the bin is open with a weapon for me when I land. Might as well play the game for me! My brain hurts, make it make sense.
