Hi guys!! I am going to be filming an update video soon on my first semester of sonography school and my experience. COMMENT ANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE FOR ME ABOUT SONOGRAPHY BELOW THIS COMMENT AND I WILL ANSWER THEM IN A VIDEO COMING SOON! Thank you!! ♥️🦋
Which semesters are more rigorous? summer or fall / winter ?
what supplies do you need for your first semester??
Is this an online program?
I love the transparency, most of yt videos do a lot of convincing as to why you should be a sonographer BUT doesn’t go in depth about how mentally exhausted it can be. I’m barely in my second semester🙂 but by the grace of God i will make it
Best of luck to you! I'm starting Sonography school next semester and I'm super anxious about it. Hopefully I will do well!
You got this!!!! ♥️♥️
I worked as a hairdresser while going through xray and ultrasound school. I graduated from xray school in 2017 and sonography school in 2018. Seeing all them notes makes me glad i finished and been just working. It was so intense that i almost quit after the first semester of school. But i’m glad i finished, been working as an xray/US tech for 3yrs now.
That's so awesome! Congrats on finishing! It is so much but worth it in the end 😊
Do u still work as a hair dresser ? I’m a current hairstylist with a passion for hair but I also want to go to school for sonography and do both
Same! Currently a hairdresser and want to go to school for this. Are you glad you pursued school for sonography ?
Beautiful! Did you work full time or part time while going to school?
Wow i am a barber & this just gave me hope
I start my program next week!! Super exciting, it’s going to be a lot of work but I’m ready for it.
Hey Nikki. Thank you for sharing your content. I have seen your textbooks and wonder what school they for ?
Congratulations on your success 🎉
i would love to see more of your journey in sonography school!! im thinking of dropping out of my four year university to pursue sonography at a community college
Whatever your heart desires! It's such an amazing field- i'm having so much fun while in school!!
thats what im deciding rn too, im at a university and am planning to just switch to a community college to get an associates in sonography and hopefully get in their program
I might be doing that. I’m august I will be a college freshman studying journalism. Idk if I want to waste time doing that or switch to a community college back home to do sonography. Idk!!
Is your sonography program full-time? How do you manage to work and also do the program? Also are you doing any clinicals? Sorry about so many questions. I am just now about to start my prerequisites.
Story of my life 😂. I’m currently an ultrasound student and I’m trying to juggle mom life and school. I also have the same text book but I don’t have the workbook. Wishing much success on your sonographer journey.
If you don’t mind me asking how are you managing it so far? I’m a parent & I want to start schooling but I’m scared I won’t be able to juggle mom life, school & work😭
Did you get your prerecs @ a college first then enroll in a school program or did u just sign up for the program out of HS ?
Thank you for sharing. I just started my program I’m currently taking section anatomy and physic and it’s hard.
it is hard!! but we got this 🤗
@@NikkiHarrison yes 😁
did you take your prerequisites already or are you completing them while in the program
@@kourt358 I took my prerequisites before getting in the program.
How many hours a day would you say that you spent on school/ studying?
Is your program a two year course? Your doing great BTW!!!!
Do you work while going to school?
Is there any math in sonography program
Is sonography school harder than nursing school?
Hi what laptop do you have?
As an ultrasound technician, are you guys always exposed to dim and dark places when working? Or it really depends on which division you are at? What percentage of the time you are exposed to dim lights? My eyes are pretty sensitive and I get dizzy from looking at my phone in the dark! This probably isn’t for me? What do u think…
u should look at the requirements for the school u plan to attend a lot of them list the physical requirements
ahh it would be my dream to get into a dms program... my only obstacle right now is actually getting accepted :(
Have you been accepted yet? Did you finish your prerequisites?
@@liyahmayy hi!! yes, i actually just graduated from my dms program earlier this month! definitely so rewarding :)
I am interested in going to sonography school, but I have a question. How do you handle it when you happen to get sick and have to miss a few days? How do you catch up from that since it is such a big workload? How do you catch up?
I literally just got accepted into my program an hour ago and I’m stressing. How many hours a day did you study? And were you able to work while in the program?
I did work while in my program but once a week on the weekends. I would studying during clinical when there were no patients and then at home. I'd take my full weekend day to study too. The hours of studying really depended on how my day went, but i tried for atleast 2-4 hours a day with little reviews in between !
@@NikkiHarrison thank you so much!!! I’m so freaking nervous and I’ve been out of school for 8 months and worried I won’t be able to handle it 😭😭😭 I’m going to get it done tho and these two years will fly by hopefully
hi! did you take any pre requests for your program?
@@briannacantu398 hi! Yeah it was the standard pre-reqs like anatomy and physiology, chemistry, physics, etc
Are you taking an online program?
No! My program is currently in person.
Which school??
I’m doing my prerequisites now, this makes me excited and nervous because my bachelors program will only be 15 months of intense studying and clinicals 🥲
