Thanks so much for this video! What I plan on doing is hooking a 10-20 ft garden hose to my shower head, and then attach a nice garden type spray handle on the end of it. Then, when it snows or ices over this winter, I'll be able to just open up my bathroom window (no screen) and use that hose to spray LUKE WARM WATER (never use "hot water", as "they" say it can crack the glass etc.) onto my vehicle. I will use really HOT WATER on the walkway leading up to and around my vehicle. That way all the snow and ice will be melted away and be a perfectly clean when I go out there this winter!! Then I'll be able to easily throw down salt to keep it from refreezing. Ingenius eh? LOL!

water mixed with oil. Don't know how this happened. My sweetheart fixed the problem with a rubber hose where he sucked out the dirty water. Yucko. So that we do not indanger his health. I will use the Handyman Journey solution info on How to install a Garden Hose to your Shower video. Wow again.
Perfect, just what I was looking for. Hard to believe that I used to be a plumber (60 years ago - briefly) but have forgotten a lot. I bought a steam cleaner to magically clean out the black mold in my bathroom shower stall. They aren't magical no matter what the commercials show. Steam will loosen the mold and water deposits but you've got to do some scrubbing, too. What I needed was to be able to rinse what I had scrubbed loose and my shower head just didn't have the swivel capacity to direct the water where I wanted it. NOW, thanks to you, I can hook up a garden hose and put a spray gun on it. Thanks again.

This brought back memories of my waterbed days. I hooked the hose up to the bathroom sink faucet. It just screwed right in. When draining the bed I connected the hose to the bed and ran it to the bathtub. Some people run it out a window.

New subscriber here. Thanks for the tip. We were dripping water in our garage apartment shower and it leaked out on the floor and onto the outside berm. So to fix that I am planning on hooking up a hose to the shower head to drip that section of water pipe that is most vulnerable to freeze. The other end of the hose will be stuffed into the drain. Thanks for the information. Hooking a hose up to shower head so I can wash bottles easier for bottling homemade wine.
Comes in handy for refilling a waterbed also especially in the wintertime so you don't have to deal with stiff garden hoses or ice!

I recently bought a clawfoot tub to use as a hot tub.
I know nothing about plumbing but wanted a cheap and easy way to use it. I bought an immersion electric heater but the electric bill went through the roof.
I think this will be the perfect solution.

I live in Burbank CA, in an apartment on the 2nd floor, that gets the sun from 1pm till 7p. In summer it gets super hot. I bought a 6'x30" inflatable circular pool to use in my living room as a couch, basically. I get home about 3pm and try to sleep by 8pm. I HAVE TO use the AC to sleep, but I figure I can just watch my 100" projector display sitting in the pool for 2-3 hours and not use the AC.
I mean, I ride my bicycle, so first thing when I get home, I shower anyway. I figure I can just change the water weekly. Oh, and I bought a kinda floating chair with mesh & inflatable head and arm rests, so only my head will be outta the water.
I am super excited to see how it goes.
I use those to use a drain blow bladder in shower drains. Very convenient.

I have an old dog that I can’t bath him with the cold water from the outside hose. I have one shower near an outside door and it would be so easy to give him a bath with warm water. Oh, he’s a big dog.

I need an adapter that converts the hose end of a braided washing machine hose to a telephone shower head on one side and the shower arm on the other ( the latter was shown, but now i need the former). I'm _really_ tired of breaking normal telephone shower hoses every 3 months. Ideas?

Is there a way to reverse this hookup suggestion? I want to attach an indoor shower fixture/hose to an outdoor faucet that would normally be for a garden hose? Thanks for any ideas. This is a potting shed sink setup so I'm not concerned about the appearance.
No outside faucets and need to wash off our deck. We have a back door directly across from the bathroom so seems like the best idea to me!
The outside water is 200 yards away. I can run the hose outside my window to fill up the dogs pool... or whatever else I need it for.

It's funny, I actually found my way here as I was looking to go the other way (shower head onto garden hose) but I might actually do this the next time I have a clogged drain so I can connect a pressure washer and attempt to clear the blockage with brute force. Either it will work or it'll make a huge mess so either way it'll do something

Can I hook a garden sprayer to the shower? Garden sprayers are more powerful than shower heads.

I want to do the opposite of this. I want to use a shower hose in the garden as a hosepipe. They sell steel hoses for gardens but they all have cheap plastic fittings which render them useless as soon as you slightly knock it.
We have a dog washing station out in the garage that would be great to be able to wash cars in the cold weather

Great way to convert an unused shower stall in my wife's office into a mop sink.
