    Finally made this! Mainly to use by the pool, but made it portable to use camping. I had a few issues with the list of supplies not being quite specific enough (slip on, threaded, etc.), but pieced together something close. Perhaps it was because plumbing stuff was new to me. 😀 Can't wait to try it out.

    Yes, there have been things like this for about $60 on Amazon for years (I bought one as a beach outdoor shower 7-8 years ago), but your umbrella stand idea moves the concept forward! I'm going to make my own using your diy for camping. Thanks!

    😂 our highschool church choir group went to a church in thermal CA for a week we taught VBS it gets very warm because it's by Arizona anyway we used cardboard a window curtain borrowed it from the restroom a garden hose had a ring 💍 outlet then I guess there's was a car parked nearby we asked to tape the hose there I don't exactly know the details but it worked of course only when church was over like ended at 1230 so by 1 it was just our group it was a choir tour thing. Being in a desert community had to get creative. Remind me of the one we came up with. I guess it wasn't crazy after all.

    They put washer and dryers outside in garages or closets in Florida. They probably do it in many places where the temperatures are mild to warm. I am going to plumb this off of my washer hot and cold tap. Wish me luck.
    The washer is located outside. I was going to use pex but pvc is so cheap and easy to use. Should be fun.

    It's such a good idea, especially strapping the shower to a tree,
    which is just what I want for our summer house
    to rinse off after working in the "garden"
    (that is, after waging war on the ferns among the fir trees)
    But I can't seem to find this kind of shower head in Sweden.
    All I find is indoor normal shower heads, hand held or fix.
    So jealous...

    • @ajwilson231
      @ajwilson231 Před 4 lety +3

      pielcanela365 I used two 3/4 inch smooth x 1/2 threaded adapters, the sillcock has a 1/2 thread, so just put Teflon tape on that and screwed it into the 1/2 threaded side. For the hose, you also need a 1/2 inch thread to (typically) 3/4 inch hose swivel...it’s usually brass. The 1/2 thread goes into the pvc 1/2 threaded side and then you attach hose. I don’t know how to upload pix here, otherwise I would

    For those that want hot water, you need a heater like this: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077K428LC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and a thermostatic mixing valve like this: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CF7JRLQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 then hook it all to the inlet of the shower stand she made. I did a "version" of this using my own heater design here: czcams.com/video/hv4QdnFuej0/video.html

    • @ChickFixUSA

      There is a PVC attachment that has a hose connection on it (spigot adaptor), which can be added to the end of a PVC pipe.

    where does the water come from may i ask?

    • @ChickFixUSA
      @ChickFixUSA  Před 4 lety +1

      From the hose. In this case, you would need to be near a water supply with a hose hook-up (the campsites we visit always have that). It might also be possible to fashion some sort of pump to attach it to, but I haven't made it that far yet.

WHOOPS! I used the shortest one possible, as shown in this link: www.homedepot.com/p/Orbit-1-2-in-x-Close-PVC-Riser-38081/100038935
