      ... and they really weren't impressive either! LOL. I literally am reading the comments to see if it was only me that realizes that. Funny, some people are saying that the measurements are what matters, but what difference does the measurement make when the legs look the exact same? Plus, a lot of measurements went UP. That's not hopeful to me 😆

      Dude I hate when people come on these types of videos acting like they actually know what their talking about. This is a simple body weight exercise it pretty much minimal results and its completely different than doing something like squatting 200 pounds its not a big deal and you don't have to have rest days for bending on you knee it's like telling somebody to rest after they walk to much

    • @StyledTurtle
      @StyledTurtle Před 6 lety +198

      You do realise when your muscles ache its them being broken down right... its a lot of miniscule tears in the muscle, those tears need to heal or you wont see any results, or atleast not as much, because you keep breaking down the muscle without letting it heal. Go fucking google it, you clearly dont know what youre saying, doesnt matter how heavy or light a exercise is.

I learnt the hard way when I only did 40 sit up's a day it still killed me and I couldnt bend down or anything of the sort so rest days are very important, your muscles need rest.

    Your muscles need one day of rest after a workout, if you do this challenge do it every other day. I’m bothered that buzzfeed is promoting these “30 day” challenges. Some people are unaware of the damage from working out the same muscle every day.

    • @gorgewashingtonful
      @gorgewashingtonful Před 6 lety +33

      Dani Tay its better to workout sore muscles, but obviously not to their fullest extent. These people probably never see a gym which is why 100 lunges is hard. You might get a little sore from it but its really not much more intensive than a mile run a day

Scales lie terribly to measure body sculpting to determinine progress from working out. They could have done far less reps (10-12) times 4-5 sets with light weight and done well. Resting a minute or two between. J/s

      Just grabbed this from google for you! Lunges can feel hard on your knees, but if you're doing them right, they can actually help strengthen this area. Lunges are one of the best exercises for building the muscle groups in the leg that support the knee joint, especially the quads and hamstrings. , Also just checked out your channel nice Mep's and amv's ( I tried to do amv's but tbh I'm so impatient and cant be doing with tedious editing so I commend you for being patient !)

  • @aoiaou
    @aoiaou Před 5 lety +3

    ACTIVATE YOUR GLUTES before each leg/booty workout! sometimes when you do squats/lunges you'll only feel it in your quads, and other muscles try to compensate if your glutes don't fire (like lower back or hamstrings), which means slower progress for your booty

    50 is my actual warm up routine for my workout (video on my channel)... It's great to vary the length of the lunges, and spice it up with side lunges, reverse lunges etc :-) Short lunges work the quads while long work the glutes. But well done guys!

    1 inch difference...Just consume a high amount of sodium for like 3 days and get a quick pump from squats and there's your 1 inch difference. 100 lunges is just not enough volume to make gains. Not to mention there is no progressive overloading.

    Progressive overload if you want mass. Lunges are primarily for the teardrop, the medialis, as is evident on the after pictures. If you want more glute activation do squats but with a broad stance. The broader the stance the more the glutes get activated. Small stance is higher quad activation.

    I created my own little workout plan that I do once in the morning and one in the evening and there’s a lot of stuff on it with a whole bunch of different exercises that deal with legs, arms, and abdomen. In one day following my workout I plan I do 200 jumping jacks in total; 100 regular and 100 split jacks; 50 in the morning and 50 in the evening for both. I do 80 lunges in total; 40 in he morning and 40 in the evening. I do 160 squats in total; 80 regular and 80 jump squats; 40 in the morning and 40 in the evening for both. There are a whole bunch of other stuff too but when I started counting those are the ones that noticed I was doing a LOT of.
    Edit; turns out I’m doing 80 mountain climbers also, 30 burpees, 40 push-ups, and I forgot to mention that I found a “30-Day Ab Challenge” thing where I do crunches, leg raises, and planks that increase each day. I do 5 times the day that I’m on cause I want to really master it. Well when I was counting I found out that I’ve done 120 leg raises today, along with 250 seconds of planks in total, but I did 300 CRUNCHES TODAY BECAUSE IM SUPPOSED TO DO 30 AND I DO THAT 5 TIMES IN THE MORNING AND 5 TIMES IN THE EVENING. Wow

      Correct. It's fatigue one feels after doing it correctly not joint pain. Lunges are actually suppose to help strengthen knees not make them hurt. And doing any excercise wrong can cause injury.

      I know right!, Also if youre a bit heavier you wont see differences that much, when I was overweight I was doing 40 sit ups a day which is plenty, and I realised sit ups dont give you a flat stomach, you need to diet and lose most of your weight and then work out or work out and diet if you understand? For example the black girl since shes a bit bigger and so are her thigh's we didn't see a big difference.

    For my soccer team yesterday I had an hour of soccer conditioning and an hour and 30 minutes of just soccer practice.
    We had to do like 75 lunges and my legs felt like they were gonna fall off then a lap around the whole field and many other things for conditioning including more things with legs that make them burnnnnn but I don’t want to state them all but now my legs hurt extremely sore and I have what like 3-5 games this weekend (:

    Like other people have said in the comments you need rest days and not work the lower body everyday, 2-3 times a week is more than enough. Also to help with the soreness, also known as DOMS, stretching after exercise is really important and if when you are sore the next day. Just doing lunges is a bit silly, adding glute bridges and/or squats would be better and will work the glutes as well, glute bridges in particular will help with that.

    Since this video involves working out, Im hoping some people could help me.
    I'm 12 and 5'4 and a half and weigh 138 and I'm trying to slim down. My uncle has set a exercise routine for me:
    25 push-ups
    30 squats
    50 situps
    3 minute plank
    And something that involves the squat position and running on your tippy toes then going into a burpee 25 times
    Anything I should add without seriously injuring myself?
