As a Japanese native it's been long understood amongst the JP consumers that consuming cherry blossoms have the same effect as simply taking any other herbal supplement. You may feel better in a sense that you may be taking in what you previously lacked, however its not incredibly noticeable or life changing. It's generally a product marketing embellishment for women and I definitely feel that when Tati insists on calling it *sakura* rather than simply calling it cherry blossom to make it seem more unique or exotic. It's also a little cringe.

I worked in a health food store chain for two years. They would train staff to know what the apparent benefits were and not print it on the bottles. The reason being, that if they printed it on the bottle they would have to prove that it did that but if a member off staff told you, it was person saying it so they didn't need to prove it. I live in Ireland and it was a few years ago but seriously, don't buy into this shit. And don't get me started on the profit margin.

Tati went from being a pretty honest beauty reviewer to a sleazy snake oil salesperson. She needs to remind people in her video that she uses botox and fillers. If her supplements did all she claims why would she need the fillers? I stopped following her channel a long time ago. Thank you for giving such a wonderful and informative critique.

She actually did mention in this video that she used to get Botox and fillers, but that she stopped getting them just to see what her face looked like naturally. But I completely agree that she should've been more transparent about the fact that, regardless of whether it's been a while since she got any work done, those treatments have lingering effects that can still make you look younger even after they've "worn off."

Suplements will have the most expensive "extract" that has 0 research just to add value to the produt + generic nutrients, as it’s going to be called interesting magical names. It has absolutely no connection to either the manufacturing costs or value of the product. The ingredients have been chosen for their marketing rather than medical value. My guess is, as with most of these influencer driven products, is that they aren't "her" products but just that she's getting a commission to push some other company's lines. Fans buy them, like religious totem, to feel closer to her.

This really does seem like a cash grab, particularly when you consider that Tati has been embroiled in multiple lawsuits over the last three years, including one from her former business partner over Halo Beauty. The company is obviously still profitable or they would not be launching new products, but it seems like Tati needs the money more than ever. Not to get in the way of another woman's hustle - I think she might have been better off sticking with her makeup line though, which was also profitable. However, from my understanding of the Halo Beauty lawsuit, continuing to release products and promote the brand seems calculated.

Ive a suffered from alopecia because of my PCOS, and i must say after 12 years of dealing with it, her hsn vitamins made a significant difference in both my skin and hair, and if you deal with major hormonal hair loss, you know there are only a few things that genuinely work, such a minoxidil, spironolactone, and that’s about it, at least for me, but let me tell you, ive tried A LOT OF THINGS. And no, you just dont get the same results taking centrum, or any other basic multivitamin because that’s not what her supplements are. Now, you may not like the girl, and sure, the vitamins are expensive and that’s why I stopped them, but if a had the chance i would 100% repurchase them because i really saw a difference that was worth the price tag, and if you look at the components of the pills, there are a ingredients that are great and very well thought out when it comes to hormonal health, and that are actually expensive to buy individually. She focused on components that help balance your hormones and that’s where she got it right, because if your hormones are off you are going to continue to deal with a lot of skin and hair issues. So yeah, at least personally, i did see significant results, too bad it’s too expensive for me to take continuously.

I think people can feel inflammation in their bodies. Usually annoying inflammatory conditions will come back that you otherwise don't suffer from. For example I'll get edema, trigger finger, tendinitis, thyroiditis, swollen lymphnodes, and so on. Not usually all at once but I'll get a couple at a time and my blood results show I have inflammation. Sometimes I'll say I'm inflamed because I don't feel like explaining the right side of my thyroid hurts when I swallow and my left middle finger clicks every time I move it up and down. Lol.

Its not as if I dont understand why Tati released a supplement line - for a long time, a lot of beauty guru types have touted on about what the next level is gonna be, coming to the conclusion that it'll be 'beauty from within' i.e. oral supplementation. So from a business perspective, Tati could be seen as getting ahead of the curve with this move.
Its just too bad that what shes actually selling is just bullshit and woo bottled in a pretty pink bottle at a steep price.

I think she's just gullible herself. I've been subscribed to her for years now, have been for some time before all the dRaMa happened and her leaving YT. Her makeup content is amazing, but she has always been very "spiritual" and since coming back hinted on praying and believing in god. Bot saying any chrisitan is gullible and has no logic, of course it's not what I mean, however it does seem like her overall approach to life seems to affect the way she makes these supplements. She probably believes it does all that supps magic…

To be fair a diagnosed deficiency, a pregnancy, preparing to become pregnant, a vegan diet or vegetarian diet and a keto diet, does cover a lot of groups within the population. Especially within the US.
To say that this supplement is meant for but a small part or that its insignificant to the "normal" population I think is somewhat insensitive to those groups and it lacks an understanding that finding health shouldnt only be allowed within certain confines or groups.
Also, to say that "health" is only understood by scientists who advocate for the pharmaceutical marketplace is also somewhat misguided.
Supplements are not regulated by the FDA, so to say that supplements are a "null" point when its not done by a doctor within health industry based on a couple of articles isn't scientific either.
Would I buy these supplements? No. I have no plans to. But I do believe they hold their place within the market and I think within a capitalistic society people should be free to explore as many options for their health that they can and want to. We don't live in a repressed regime (even tho it feels like that sometimes)..
IMO, if you look at these through "scam" goggles, yeah, they probably do look a little like that, but if you look at everything else through those same goggles, everything is a scam too.
One last thing i wanted to mention. As a woman, I advocate for women in small business creating products even if theyre aren't a massive amount of studies on them. Is the population guinea pigs? Maybe, but id rather take Sakura flower over a brand new pharma grade drug with a list of side effects.

    • @jonahwhale9047
      @jonahwhale9047 Před 2 lety +1

Honest question, are nutritionalist or dieticians professionally permitted to ordering blood tests etc, or do you have to go to the doctor to get them? (I know there are private labs but how many work off a blood panel?) I think to dismiss doctors simply as pill pushers is unfair. There are a multitude of underlying conditions that might cause symptoms & deficiencies that I wouldn't trust some kooky chick influencer pushing product to be able to recognize. Every, & I mean EVERY, alternative health system has cases of patients turning up with serious issues, not being treated, & often dying, because they didn't or wouldn't go & see a doctor.
And I write that with confidence as a graduate of both the House MD and Chicago Med schools of medicine.
