    Man, I'm sincerely thankful for your help. I'll do my first SAT tomorrow. This test is not even necessary for me and my future. But your advice and guidance are the best things in my preparation 😊. BTW, I'm from Kazakhstan. Far county from you, just you to know you have followers like me ❤

      You should do it anyway. Many universities don't exonerate you from English tests because of SAT. In the 20+ universities I've visited I think only two did that.

    Any tips on science passages?..sometimes the scientific theories are so difficult and it is difficult to comprehend them..there are so many terms i don't understand in those passages.i know i don't need any kind of prior knowledge for science passages but still i never understand them and so when i start reading the answer choices i am 100 percent blank as to what is going on.

      I think the main thing is to simplify it in your head. A lot of times they use complex vocabulary, but the truth is you don't really need to know what those words mean or what those things do. All you need to know is if the term is good or bad. If we want more or less of that thing.
      Basically every scientific experiment boils down to somebody testing something and hoping for a positive result. So try to put yourself in the researcher's shoes. Don't worry if you don't understand the whole thing; focus on the experiment design or the hypothesis (since that's often what the questions touch on)

    I saw some of your digital sat series videos and increased 70 to 80 points on the reading and writing section. However, I still am siting at a 600 range and have the test a week later. Are there any tips or suggestions you could give to improve my score at least 50 points. My main weaknesses are in the sentence completion, punctuation, and quantitive supporting claims questions.

    • @score-yourcollegecounselor
      @score-yourcollegecounselor  Před 11 měsíci +1

      If punctuation's giving you trouble, really review the rules and study examples. If you know the rules you can answer any question. Sentence completion is pretty easy, pick the answer that's most coherent with the rest of the paragraph and remember usually it's the last sentence, so think about what concluding sentences do. Quantitatives are hard, but there's only 2-4 of those max so you shouldn't have to worry about them that much.

      @@score-yourcollegecounselor I had my SAT today and it went good. However, I still do not know what to expect on the English section. I might give the SAT in October. Given that I have about a month and a week for the preparation, what advice do you give me to get a 700 plus on the English section. Currently I am on a 600 range. My weak topics are: Sentence completion, quantitive supporting claims questions, text structure and purpose questions, and sometimes standard English of conventions.

    As you said if theres A chemical compound then theres coma before and after the name of compound and if its the then its vice versa.
    But what if there is not any article. For eg:
    Biologist David Peterson found/has found…
    Will there be coma or not?

    • @score-yourcollegecounselor
      @score-yourcollegecounselor  Před rokem

      Great question. No need for a comma there if we don't have any article.

    • @score-yourcollegecounselor
      @score-yourcollegecounselor  Před rokem

      An would be treated the same as a. It's the same exact thing. Only difference is that you use "an" before vowel sounds (an entomologist / a biologist)

    What if i get more than 650 in verbal. Do i need to give ielts exam?
    Do most of the university weaive ielts after this score?

    • @score-yourcollegecounselor
      @score-yourcollegecounselor  Před rokem +1

      Honestly I would still recommend the English test. Most universities won't waive IELTS/TOEFL for internationals based on their SAT score because SAT really only tests reading skills. They need to see your oral communication skills too. WVU is one that I know can exonerate you from English tests above a certain SAT score, but out of the 30 universities I've visited I think they're the only one.

    Hey. Can yo please give me a suggestion. I am good at problem solving and reading but at i cant do both at the same time with a good speed .Everytime i am on second module of the dsat i somehow panic because the science passages are way too long and i am never able to complete it at time.Most of the times the time finishes and i still have around 8 to 10 questions left in the second module

    • @score-yourcollegecounselor
      @score-yourcollegecounselor  Před rokem

      You're probably reading too much. You almost never need to read the whole passage. If you're finding the second module harder, that's a good sign since it means you're probably getting the hard module which is going to lead to higher scores. Try to focus on the type of question you're getting and read strategically, if you're reading the whole thing you're wasting time.
