The link doesnât work
I canât find it anywhere I tried Googling it and Amazon. And itâs definitely not on your site thereâs one kind of like it but it doesnât have the sizes I want and has other things I donât want.
@@user-df9ce4nn4m the one I'm showing is from their current kickstarter. It will be widely available soon
@@maxlvledc ahh thanks hopefully they release it soon.
@@TheMoody876?
They also make a magnetic backing u can buy that looks just like sticky one
This might be a thin magnet backing đ€·đ»ââïž
Which is this one
That's what it looked like. What chemical sticks to steal only and not your fingers ?
@@veskovesilev2019 it might be like a static cling that only works on very smooth surfaces. Have a phone mount like that
@@samthekashman Oh yeah that went viral for a bit I remember that.
I'd never even thought of this as a problem
Good thing they already fixed it!
The hallmark of a good company. Addressing problems before you can even discover them as the consumer
This is life in a world without magnets.
You don't want magnets near RFID-chipped cards and magnetic strips.
@@GModBMXer Yes I do.
Stainless steel isn't magnetic
@@Obalanserad some is, some isnt.
@@roberthobbs6318 magnets can destroy gift cards and potentially credit/debit cards
Alright I'm sold, I want it lol it looks way more high quality than most card tool cutout things
Edit: can you see how they fit in a ridge wallet?
Hmm, should work just fine, tried it with a competitor with no issues.
Exactly what I was wondering
@@Jackyl_47 works I tried
People actually buy those ridge wallets? Never watched more than 3 seconds of those ads
@@SmitefulAres they're actually really nice wallets.
Stayed true for a year until I accidentally washed my wallet lol. Great product, you never know when you might need it, but itâs always good to know you have it!
Youâve shown me a lot of great EDC tools so far. This is no exceptionâŠwant!
I love Grim cards. I have most of them. The lockpicks work better if you polish the edges. It let's them slide a lot smoother with less sticking.
Good tip!
These are super flexible on the working ends. Which makes for a very difficult to use tool. This set he's showing works sort of but only like 3 of the tools are useful. You aren't picking anything but like master locks with these. And even those are going to be a challenge. They make small, keybar style pick sets with a removable torsion bar. That's the way to gk
What is the set to get and where?
â@@averywilliams8249go to lockpicking lawyer's youtube channel and follow the link in his description, should be like covert tools or something.
FINALLY. my #1 gripe about emergency pick sets is they're designed as if they're disposable. these look pretty legit.
looks great
The looks you get, when you're breaking into your own place, are hilarious.
Perfect for how i get charges for breaking and entering
Looks like a low power fridge magnet
Not that thats bad it's actually really smart and the product looks cool and useful the compat size is nice also
Looking at the surface it might be one of those micro suction? Things
Just ordered one to test it out
Bought one! Canât wait to try them out
It's kind of interesting that you can get a lockpicking set that's just a little bit bigger than a credit card. Like the companies know what they're doing and intend on keeping the availability of storage of their products _very_ open.
Jelly backing ,nice
Oh sweet. I need one of those in my life đ
The retention system is just a magnet with extra steps
Nice kit
That was my main question thanks for answering.
Nice â€
Going to add these to my Surge, EDC smarter
Wonder if I will be able to substitute for the washers đ€
Thanks brother Iâll be picking up a few for my gang âđżâđż
Thanks for the follow up! I remember when these kinds of tool cards first became popular they didn't have any retention solution, just pop them out when you need them and then they become lost or useless pretty quick. I've only had a cheap one I got years ago as a freebie and never used, and I've laughed at them ever since. I didn't even think about the possibility that even this simple technology has been improved this much. Being non-sticky and non-magnetic are both great aspects. However, I am still curious how durable that mysterious black retention material is. Does it still work if dirt or grime get on it? Can it be washed and still work? It seems like a thin, flexible rubber or plastic, so can it be torn or ripped accidentally when putting the tools back? I may just go ahead and get them now and see for myself haha.
I think if you stick it to something (peel off white part) then it will hold up way better.
You can duct tape over it to hold in place.
My iPhone has a goat case. Which is a case that has the same material as the backing all over the back of the case. And as long as you donât Knick the surface it sticks forever and just wipe it off if itâs dirty with a wet paper towel and air dry.
Kevin Mitnuck's business card!!!!!
Went to their site. Some really cool stuff there! Who'd have thought?!
Ikr!!?!?!
Just ordered the 2 piece kit of these, ill be back with me review đ
What of it
I'ma get some of those!
That's neat. I'm guessing it's holding the metal through surface tension?
Magnets are cool huh
Magnetic backing would be better
Throw a magnet behind that. Like a strong version of flexible fridge magnets. Or a matrix of thin neodymium chips or w/e. Sooner or later that film is going to fill up with fine particles and lose effectiveness. Like powdered graphite, just for instance...
But i dig the mechanism and effect.
Man the lint that would stick to that.
I probably would get a plastic sleeve to put over it.
Is it weak magnets? Just enought to hold the picks? Or just a kind of material that holds it in place?
Just get a covert companion. Much more utility, easy to carry, much higher quality, sturdy, just better
Aw this is pretty cool,đđ my birthday is on January 8th, so yeah... đ€Łđ€Łđ âđœâđœ
Nice
the backing holds them throw vacuum. it's so flat and so are the tools that they just stick wonderfully, at least that's my guess. If I'm correct then the tools will also stick to other tools just like that. cheers
âAnd then is just stays inâ -đ„
I have one like a credit card solid white and a few times thicker than a normal card and it slides a part holding them all inside like a case. And you can't see what it is so that's a plus
Magnets would mess up your pmt cards. This is a good alternative.
Is this a jail card? Looking nice
Bro just discovered magnetism
Oooo wow. It's magnetic... lol
"You just need to push it down once..."
Proceeds to push it down 5-6 times. Lol
Bro just explained magnetism
It's not magnetic, it's more like geko feet
A thin magnet should come standard it may not stick to your finger but I almost bet dust will build up and it wont work after awhile
I have one that has a lid that slides into place. Itâs been on 20+ flights but I canât take it into a courthouse.
How can I fit this in my rectal cavity?
Isnt it bad to put magnets next to your magnetic strip swipe cards?
Quit tip for people who use this frequently:
If the retention get weaker with dust/grime etc don't be scared to wipe it down with a wet wipe or kitchen towel. Removing the layer of use from the black surface makes it work like new.
Where can I buy it from? I'm from the Middle Best
How many takes was this before it didn't fall off :)
Make a lightning key card
other new thing i must get
*Hide-a-Key has left the chat*
Thinking about it.. it prolly would be a bit embarrassing.. lol
Link to where to buy?
The keys might not stick if the rubber gets dirty just rinse it off
What kind of space age material grips on to metal without being sticky or magnetic?
It's due to surface tension like geko feet.. been used for decades.
@@maxlvledc thanks!
Where can I get one?
Show how you pick a lock with it
Who are they selling? This for is my concern
Maybe detach before tapping the table.... hahaha. Wow.
Sounds like a magnet?
Bro just dissed himself at the end
đ
As a beginner lock pick I tried picking my own front door, and it actually scared me at how EASY and quick it was for me to pick both my door handle and my deadbolt. Really made me want to invest in some better locks. Until I remember I have the BEST deterrent that's better than ANY lock.....a .45 ACP.....lol.
You have natural skills, then. It takes most people weeks of practice to swing a dead bolt. You may want to look into being a lock Smith. Very impressive, man, really.
This is *ILLEGAL* , or at least it was when I got my set, for anyone to own a pick set~ unless you are employed as law enforcement, locksmith, or automotive mechanic.
Probably in most if not all states, I imagine..
How do I get one.
Can't make them magnetic?
that would be hard for me to put back with my ocd.
But how strong is the magnet? Keep away from my cards strong or just enough to keep the tools in place?
not magnetic, uses surface tension.
Isn't it some type of micro sponge
Where can I buy this?
take my money
is that backing basically a film of suction cup?
Like geckos feet
You could just say itâs magnetic.
But it's a type of sticky
@@KJMcLaws
No itâs not. Itâs magnetic not sticky.
@@Whateverpoopiepants what are you talking about? Look at it. It's a form of adhesive. It's not sticky to your finger but if you stick a flat smooth piece of anything it adheres. What magnet shapes to your finger print?
Guy just discovered magnets
-that would be a perfect jump scare right when he hits it on the table
I HEARD In some states it is illegal to have
It's not sticky but it sticks...magnetsđ€
it makes you worry when you can pick your own front door too quickly.
I just got into locksport and I've been struggling with one of the training locks. So I decided to try and pick my gun case lock. And I'm considering buying a new lock now

Any issues taking these through airport security? I would hate to forget and leave them in there and then it becomes a problem.
Not sure.
How to describe a magnet with out letting people know its a magnet.
I know because im smart
I love the card, but why does the black background that sticks to metal so wrinkly? Looks like it's gonna tear or something. Is it somewhat durable?
It's fairly durable, but it works much better once stuck to something solid.
@@maxlvledc thnx for the reaction.
It's that sticky substance a magnet
No, it's like geko's feet
This is the longest explanation Iâve ever heard for a magnet đ
It's science!
This is not available in my country
I want
"Use it as many times as you want, break in as many houses as you like"
Almost like it's a magnet
What are the chances of trace amounts of the adhesive on the picks gumming up a pin?
It's not "adhesive" it's uses surface chemistry to adhere to smooth metal.
@@maxlvledc neato burrito
DĂłnde consigo esas ganzĂșas??
Does pocket lint and debris stick as well?
no, its the flat surfaces that stick..like glass and polished steel.
So it's magnetic
Are these available on Amazon? A link to the product is appreciated.
Grimworkshop.com, not on amazon atm
So... Is it a magnet or is it some kind of soft tacky/jelly stuff? Not sure how I'd feel about putting a magnet in with my credit cards. đ
