Finally - this made me unbox my pilates bar I bought over a month ago!!! Though it's a cheapie from kmart and doesn't twirl around the bar for resistance 🙄 I think I've managed to improvise for the moment until I get more confident with the exercises. I use a pilates bar with 3 bands on either side that can be adjusted for tension, in addition to me finagling a rotattion around the stick when convenient. I LOVE using it for this workout. I come back to it regularly. Well done!

This was a fantatsic work out !!!!! Love how it was full body. It was my first time so I was pretty slow with getting the Wraps on my stick and equally awkward transitioning to a new position. But I loved the versatility of it and that even for women it worked our upper body! I would recommend

Pilates exercises don't result in "bulking up "of muscles. So I think,I am not required to increase my protein to high level as required in weight training. Correct me if I am wrong.

It’s good for toning up your entire body, and specially strengthen your postural muscles like abs, obliques and lower back. Due to the resistance of the bands you will feel these muscles working hard to stabilize your posture.

Hi Sasha, we haven't personally used any GymStick alternatives but many of the pilates bars on Amazon have been recommended - hope that helps!
