  • In this video, I speak about my eighth month update of the second hair transplant i got from Istanbul Turkey. It's only been 8 months but the hair is starting to grow out nicely! I've also added a little new toy to my collection for better videos. This is after my 2nd experience of the FUE hair transplant (4000 grafts) I got in Istanbul, Turkey from Vera Clinic to cover my crown.

      Dear Amit, im going to vera the comming days and im wondering if you can advise me a surgeon ? Or do you know wich surgeon you spoke with ? After my HT from last year (5300 grafts) , a doctor here in Belgium stated my donor zone and told me that i have between 2200 and 2700 grafts left ! So this time im going to add density on my frontline and sincerly im scared that they overharvest me ....thats why i ask.
      Happy new year and wish you all the best dude !

    I love the gratitude you have for the front/mid scalp! It's great to see! Your progress has been amazing and it fills me with joy seeing the happiness you have! I just went for my 3rd tranplant session, 2620 for the front/hairline on May 2022, 2050 for the crown on September 2022, and recently on 12/11 I went for my mid scalp! I got 2821 grafts, we put 400 in the crown and 400 to strengthen the hairline, the rest went to my mid scalp! I'm so excited to see what comes from the mid scalp!
    Thank you for these videos Amit! They helped and reaffirmed me a lot, I hope you and your family have a happy holiday season and a happy new year!!

    Love the production quality and narrative style of your videos! You have an amazingly resilient donor area! It looks pretty good. Question: would you consider a 3rd transplant to get more density in the crown or perhaps opt for SMP to reduce the contrast?

      appreciate the compliment on the production quality and narration haha!
      to anser your qn - probably wont do a 3rd transplant. I think that would b excessive to my donor area as it is. SMP perhaps, but havent put much thought into it yet, waiting to see how well my crown grows out and then i'll take it from there

      thanks for following along! I have a more detailed video coming out about rosemary oil, but generally its a good and proven product to use as long as you're consistent with it to see some natural hair growth. I usually use it by applying 3-4 drops of it onto my scalp in the morning and massage it all the way through, leaving it all all day and then washing it off by the end of it. I usually do this every other day

    Looks amazing man!
    I have one question if you're able to reply, how long has the "donor area" taken to become more "normal-look"?
    I'm on my 22nd day after my surgery and I don't see much grow on the sides of my head. More growth is present at the back. Looks like I'll have some thinning on the sides too.

    • @amitposthair
      @amitposthair  Před 6 měsíci +1

      thanks man! So for the donor area, it takes at least 2 months in my opinion. By the first month you'll start to look very blocthy and patchy on the sides, but dont fear, once the second month comes around, you shoudl have enough coverage, and when you go get first haircut, it'll look much better. I'd say by the 3 month mark it would full look back to normal.

Im on Fin and minoxidil and was aswell before ht. Im theorising that the month i spent off meds messed crown up big time. Really hope crown will get better over time again idk

    • @amitposthair
      @amitposthair  Před 5 měsíci

      your crown area may just be prone to dht and it's just affecting it now. Ideally, just stay consistent with your exhisting routine, and over time it should return the way it was. hang in there!

      thanks for watching!! and glad you're going ahead with your journey. at the time for me, i was offered a 1-2 month supply of prodcuts, which i purcahsed, mainly because i did not know what to get or what would work after. but i have a list of prodcuts that are useful after a hair transplant all linked in my bio, you could altenratively get that, like the DSlabs shampoo, or the growplex minoxdil solution, or even some hair oils. They all mostly do the same thing, but probably cheaper than what the clinic is trying to offer you!

      - i started using a stronger power of the shower head on the 2nd month (after shedding phase and scab removal)
      - i used minoxidil on the donor area only for the first 6 months, then moved on tot he scalp after once more hair grew out on my transplatned areas.

      A s obzirom da je tek na 8om mjesecu i da ima jos cijelh 16 mjeseci, jer kruni treba 2 pune godine da izbaci novu kosu zbog slabog dotoka krvi, on itekako ima vremena.

Its look like Turkey is the way to go because its way to expensive here in the us. Also, Did you get alot of swelling on the eyes and forehead after the procedure? I did on all 3 procedures. I Cant go to work looking like that. It look like someone just beat me up.

      Turkey is the way to go in my opinion! Its afforable and gets the job done right. I did get swelling but not too much thanks to the headband i was wearing that the clinic provided after the surgery. If you keep that headband on, the swelling stays up on your head and slowly subsides over time so you avoid that beaten up look!

      hair does shed, but that natural. Hair has to shed for new ones to grow, and the average male sheds between 50-100 hairs a day. it sheds in variations so i cant say its all the same. But honestly its a small thing cmopared to how much your transplanted hairs grow out over time!

    Hi I also had a hair transplant and the shampoo and conditioner I was given by the clinic was not approved through airport security checks. Do you recommend any lotion and shampoo that I should use?

    Why do you use topical minoxidil vs oral ?

    • @amitposthair
      @amitposthair  Před 18 dny

      i've heard oral has a few side effects like increased heart rate, which i want to stay away from as i had a heart thing when i was younger. So i'm sticking to what has been working for me, which is the topical solution!

      There's always risk of side effects, but truthfully it's quite rare. If you do expeience them, simple stop the medication and within 2weeks your body should feel back to normal

    I think you should smp the top of your head and be done with it. It would look really good. And just go to a tattoo shop and tell them what you want. Its way cheaper. Then no more fibers, no more thinking it doesn't look good.
