Very informative. Looking forward to seeing whether your second hair transplant of the crown was successful.
6k Grafts for the frontal third is enormous and you would expect more hair than what u got .This is what these hair mills do , they use so many grafts so you get a decent result due to not all the grafts surviving . Good surgeons would do it with half the grafts and get. A better yield.
I've got 3200 grafts on front and top area so it's almost half of what he got. But why did they extract 6k grafts only to put on top area. They could use half on top and half on crown area.
I just did 3000 grafts yesterday in Toronto I wonder if the numbers are accurate over there
Overharvesting
Thank you for the informative vdo. I just had DHI transplant last week in Thailand. It cost me about usd3500 for 4800 grafts. The cuts are a little smaller than yours.
But dont trust anyone that says it's not hurt at all, it is quite painful!

Amit thank you for everything. within 2 weeks, it's time to get my HT. Luckily it's way cheaper for me (connections / vip treatment) The only thing that worries me are the supplements tbh... so hair spray + hair shampoo are the 2 most important things.

I did my transplant today and now debating to pay or not 1000$ usd for 6 month worth of shampoo, vitamins and serum ? What your opinion?
i have a list of recommended products in my video descriptons as well as my amazon store front. I would suggest getting good products rather than knockoffs. It'll be better for your hair!
What did they tell you the survival rate of your FUE would be? I just got FUT in Mexico City, 2500 grafts for about $3600 (but I got a lot discounted meds too). The surgereon is a super nice ENT doctor by name of Uranga. He says his survival rate is 98% and he was very convincing. Definitely not a hair mill, but also more pricey.

Hey man, great videos, much appreciated. What I'm interested in is that since going bald doesn't just magically stop when you get a hair transplant, are you just going to keep losing hair from the untreated are around the transplant area? Will you need to go again in the future? I'm talking especially if one doesn't take finasteride.
for me, i was losing quite a bit on my hairline midscalp and crown, so it was practically empty. I did 2 procedures to cover it all up so there isnt too much extra hair to be lost after. I do take finasteride regardless to keep what's left though.
But no i probably wont do it again in the future, doing it twice is more than enough for me!

Thanks a lot for your video, now that you have done both surgeries and know a lot about this domain, do you think you could have done both surgeries in one day ? What do you think about clinics who do surgeries 2 days in a row, is it risky ?

you definately can do both at surgiers in one day, but it depends on how many grafts will be extracted. they call them "Mega Sessions". I've seen people do these sessions but had maybe 7-8k grafts in total extracted? so about 4k the first time then 3.5k the next. I had 6.1k on my first session so doing a second one at the time for me was no advisable, mainly because of the amount of blood i was prone to losing in one go. So it really is based on case by case.
My hair was just like yours and I did the same process you did, but the price was different this time, the reason is today the hair transplant in turkey is everywhere, so it cost me 1st time 2000$ if I included the ticket it was 3,855$ so I’m happy and yes absolutely is worth

Hi, thanks for the useful videos ❤❤, I make the transplant 4 days before. My donor area is paining a little bit after started to wash I wanted know how many days pain will remain? And my face swelling also same like potato 🥔, normally how long it takes?
the pain should last the first week but just remember to keep taking your painkillers and medications provided by the clinic. It will pass after that! As for the swelling, that should last a few days. but the 6-7th day it should have subsided
Can you please share injection pain. Also side effects and pain after the second session
it was quite painful... but its only momentarily. i'd say 7/10 on a scale. And I have not had any side efects after my second session!

I just paid 9,350 USD for 5000 grafts in Thailand, nothing else included. Super happy about my clinic, but it hurt me a little bit to know I could have made it so much cheaper doing it in Turkey

I just came back 3 weeks ago from my first transplant I have to go back again my donor area was too weak. I did it at Lemus Clinic, i was going to ask you where do you stay for your hair transplant( hotel) ??? Did you like the hotel ? Thank you very much Nicaragua Central America
i stayed in the hotel Elite World Asia in Istanbul Turkey, it was provided by my clinic, and was great!
In canda it 10 000 cad for 2000 grafts or 12 500 for 2500.

Hey Amit I have an HT scheduled for November which is still a long way to go I guess but I was wondering: After like let's say a month, will I be allowed to trim down my hair on the sides and possibly on donor area? Like slightly to trim it down so I don't look like Chewbacca xD
Also, since I will do 4500 grafts most likely I was wondering after 10/11 days of washing passes by, how often should I wash my hair? Every 2 days, 3 days maybe?
I know that I have to sleep in upright position at 45 degrees angle with a neck pillow that's noted, and also I was wondering will I be allowed to take walks since I live near the sea [im from Budva, Montenegro]?
yes after a month you're able to trim the sides on your donor area, so you wont have to look like Chewy! ;)
After the scabs are out, i still shampoo my head once a day. on my first trnansplant i did that everyday until the shedding stopped, so about 2 months or so after that i did it once every alternate day.
And yes! walks are totally fine! as long as it isnt raining, or its too sunny out (harsh sunlight can damage grafts). Just make sure you are not sweating too much and you should be good! Hope all this helps!

All I can say is that your hair after a year looks absolutely phenomenal and it will most likely sprawl out in the next 5,6 months as well. Another good thing to try would be, maybe maybe once a month to do a PRP [platelet rich plasma]. I've seen some guys 37, 38 do it, and it works like a charm to them.

i did! I chose them based on their assurances they gave me in their responses, the other clinics were not as convincing to me!
Hey Amit. Thanks for the video. I contacted Vera clinic to get a quote for my transplant. I was quoted 3550 for the fast recovery package. I was also told I will most likely require a second transplant like you a year later. Hence the total cost over 7000 euro.
I was quoted 7200 to have it done in the U.K.
The hermest hair clinic in turkey quoted me 2300 euro. I was told by this clinic I only needed one visit to Turkey. This clinic has good reviews and is significantly cheaper.
I don’t know what I should do
That is the best decision .
Have it where you can have access to your Dr always is a smart choice
For such operations,only Turkey my friend.They're doing thousands of operations yearly,no need to pay ten times more when you can get it well done and much cheaper.
Hello Amit. I have been following you for long time now. I have few questions. Hope u can help. I have just done my hair transplant almost one week ago. I am going to wash my head with Shampoo from tommorow. Until that they told me just to wash without using hands with cold water. How long does it takes to donor area to heal?. Also when can I use toppik hair fibers on my hair?

donor area will take 2 weeks to heal. just keep following the instructions from your clinic as they will know best about your recovery. As for hair fibres, i started using them after 3 months on my first hair transplant, so i would recommend waiting till then!

Good vid man. Im leaving tomoro night for Turkey but absolutely raging that I'll have to return for a second as I was planning on going to New Zealand in a few months and now I'm being told I'll need a second a few days before the surgery.
Some disaster, was excited about it n now I feel like what's the point? My crown will be hugely exposed still so confidence won't be restored. Doing top of my head only is just not what I wanted. Can't even get money back for flights now either as it's so close to the date.
I'm 24 hours from checking in essentially and I almost ain't arsed going. Fml... disaster. 😊
What Norwood scale do you have? I was told to wait one year to see if i need one more for crown. They were not sure at first surgery. They covered my front and top with high density. You can also let it grow after transplant to move hair back to cover crown and use fibers as well. But I understand your feeling and concern.
@@rick3253 thanks for the reply Rick. Any voice is appreciated rn. But I'm a Norwood 4/5, top of head is diffuse thinning, plenty of hair just all thinned. My crown is depleted.
I've a super good thick donor area(side and back),I'm told I've an excellent donor site but hey course they would say that.
I've a big beard also which I've asked that they could take from my beard or even body to donate.
So imo it can be all done in one surgery but what do I know.. 😂 I know everyone is different, but hope you don't mind me asking, but how many grafts did you get done? Just wana see what "high density" is as regards grafts done? Thanks again man😎
Dude it might suck that you need two procedures but they know what they're talking about. You gotta trust them & the process. It'll be worth it in the end! I'm super happy with mine so far

I would consider a second transplant in 2024 for a touch up, but being from Australia, it is a 17 hour flight with a stop in Dubai, so you get a bit hesitant on doing it. I will hit one year May 20, and still happy with the first, doing all i can to get the best results offcourse. By the way, do you use minoxidil topical, or oral, thanks?

Hello. I finished yesterday my 1st dhi hair transplant. They told me i need a 2nd to cover the crown but they will take from my beard to not make too thin the donor area
yes taking from the beard it totally fine! it helps with density too

One more question. You mentioned these supplements you bought. Is it necesssary? I only got the Shampoo for hair wash and antibiotech . No spray or finastrides tablets. Do I need them?
Finasteride is definitely something I'll take after my transplant, duno how long after but for sure I will.
Will help block out DHT from attacking your newly planted follicles. I'm no doctor tho so take all I said with a pinch of salt 👌

@@rick3253 oh it's Rick 😂✌️✌️✌️ em well I can't really go against doctors advice but I take Fun every second day, not once a day. 1mg BUT I stopped a week ago as my surgery is Monday. I had zero side affects but again, everyone's different so you could.
How about trying Minoxodil? Or some dermarolling? Maybe try get some vitamins(related to hair growth). I'm just trying to think of alternatives for you rather than taking a pill. Their is other remedies or things you can to help. Maybe just keep scanning internet for the best advice as im just an ordinary joe soap without my knowledge😐
@@brianlawlor4221 i am considering minoxidil but then again they said it wont effect transplanted area and only do wonders for existing hairs which i barely had before surgery 😄. But will definetly take some hair growth vitamins 👌.
as Brian has mentioned, finasteride is definitely essential after a hair transplant. it's not necessary, but its highly recommended as it will help retain your existing hairs!

You could have paid as much as $50K for the one transplant (5K grafts) with the top tier guys.
I started losing hair on the right side of my head where my receding hairline was after only like ten days. I’m hoping I just started shedding early and that I didn’t lose the hair. It’s weird to me that it is only in one side though 🤷🏼♂️
Mine is shading day 11 😏
Those transplanted hair, will fall of naturally. It'si nevitable, because thye need to be replaced by much stronger ones that will regrow in the following months.

no side effects! been on it for over a year now. if you feel like you're feeling any side effects, you can stop the medication and you'll feel back to normal after about 2 weeks
Took me 3-4 months for side effects to subside after stopping oral fin. Ymmv!
Are you aware that Lira(Turkish currency) has gotten significantly weaker, and you were basically charged more than twice the actual amount?
Currencies will always fluctuate, but i think for me, getting 2 transplants done under 8k usd is well worth it regardless!

For anyone curious, I just got mine done in India. 4500 grafts = 90,000 INR = ~$2000 CAD. The medications (6 month supply + 1 year of finasteride) came to 40,000 INR = $600 CAD.
So not including flights it was about ~$2600 with a dedicated whatsapp number to answer any questions you have post surgery which they said is till I am satisfied with the result. I would recommend it as a cheaper alternative since the Dollar is much stronger there compared to Europe.
