- It's time to get started on the Ford Shogun project! In this episode, we tear down the SHO, remove some things from the Festiva, and take some 3D scans in preparation to build an awesome, rare, car. This is definitely going to take a while...
Music:
Clear Eyes - Silent Partner
Dive Down - VYEN
Duck In The Alley - Track Tribe
Flex - Jeremy Blake
Life is Good - Magic In The Other - Auta a dopravní prostředky
There were not made by Ford, Special Editions Inc did that. There were talks between them and Ford to have Ford provide new Festiva shells and SHO drivetrains but that fell through and SE was forced to complete the current orders by purchasing complete cars to finish the seven production units.
Jay Leno owns one, chassis number 003. I own chassis 002, and chassis 001 is in the Museum of American Speed. The prototype is now in Germany(yellow). 005 burned up in the wildfires. All others are in unknown condition and whereabouts.
Ayyyy!!!! I recognize your name from the Shogun #8 build Facebook page!
Thank you for the information and corrections 🙂 It's awesome that you found this video so fast. It'd be great if you could stick around as I continue. I am sure to have a few questions for ya 😋 now if only I could get Rick Titus on here too... and Jay Leno... lmfao.
I'd love to see and 3D scan an original shogun. If you are ever in the mood for it, let me know 😅
It'd be cool to maybe get a scan of a real one using a 3d scanner, having a bit more data on engine support and structure would help quite a bit
Hey Adam, I added you on Facebook and sent you a message, if you wouldn't mind, I'd love to be able to ask your some questions 😅
The Shogun was a dream of mine ever since I saw it in magazines during high school back in the day! Cant wait to watch this project!
Awesome! I didn't even know what one was until I bought the festiva from my buddy over a decade ago. He made some joke about turning it into a Shogun and I was like... what's that? Been waiting to get this thing going for a long time now, haha. Thanks for being here! 😁
This should have gotten more views
Haha, it'll get there... maybe 🤷♂️😆
SO SICK
Agreed! Lol, thanks buddy!
Dude I was just thinking about if someone out there was building a Shogun and here you are, you're timing is insane and great minds definitely think alike
Haha, that's pretty cool 😎 wonder if anyone else was thinking that too 🤔 I usually poke around the net every few months checking, that's for sure. Hopefully this goes well! 😋 thanks for checking it out!
Such a cool project, I owned 2 SHOs back in the day a 92 mtx and a93 atx. I think all sho owners have fantasized about having a shogun you actually have the balls and knowhow to pull it off.
Nice! Even though I have the blue one in this video, I've never actually had a ride in one or driven one. I've heard they were pretty fun cars. Balls, yes, know-how... eh, kinda just making it up as I go and using the internet to figure it out. The last part to that is time, money, and resources 😆 Thank you very much for the watch and the comment 😄
So ford only built SEVEN of these and you are making one without a manufacturing plant?! 🧐You are a crazy dude, can't wait to see the final product! Good luck! I liked the custom Lawn-Tower 😂
Yessir! And one of those 7 burned up in a fire 🔥 I am the manufacturing plant! 😉 thanks bro! Should be a pretty fun car when it's done 😋 that law-tower has been invaluable! Lol
Cool build man.
New subscriber cant wait to see this project get built. Keep up the great work shout out to you guys from Mexico 🇲🇽
Ayyy, gracias buddy! =D
i love this proyecto!
Gracias! 😁
I daily'd a 90 sho for two and a half years, I miss that car. The one you started with is an 89
@@alanspangler5621 yup! Tis an 89 😁👍 I've never had the pleasure of driving one. The Shogun will be my first experience with that drive train 😋
Yeeeeesss new sub
Ayyy, thanks a bunch! =D
I have to say, I love the way you're going about this! I haven't seen a lot of projects done this way, but I think all the scanning and building it virtually will make it much easier build physically! Along with that, you'll probably end up with a car that's much more straight and accurate than if you just started cutting and welding.😁 Keep it up, cant wait to see where it goes!
I've seen a few. Unfortunately Superfastmatt has been doing it for a while. B is for build has done it for a bit too. B is for build beat me to the 3d scan / 3d print / fiber glass body kit stuff too, which I have planned for this build if it goes well. It's the future for sure. I think we will see a lot more people going this route soon. 😁👍 thanks buddy!
what 3d scanner did you use? great content!
Thanks a bunch! That's the Einstar.
