What's going on my friends?!? SeanPierceJohnson here and welcome to another "Stompbox Everyday". Usually when we do these special "Stompbox Saturday" spin-offs it means that we have a NEW pedal from Walrus Audio. And guess what? Today is no different! Today we're taking a look at the new EB-10 EQ/Boost/Utility pedal.
Chances are that this pedal looks familiar...and you would be right. But instead of releasing a simple "re-house" or the same pedal with new artwork, Walrus Audio has upped the functionality and added some new features.
How about being able to Boost AND Cut up to 12dB?
How about being able to save THREE Presets SIMPLY?
Today I'll show you my three favorite ways to use the Walrus Audio EB-10!

Is thia place in the last chain? what if i have a high gain pedal in front of this?
Would this sound good if you used this with more of an actual metal high gain distortion?
I’m wondering the same
@@gibsoadstudios648 I'll let you know soon. I have one now, but use it as a bass boost mostly.
💞💞💞
A bit more &^%&**& than my RC booster ( I mean that in all the good ways !) . I would love one of these !
not sure what "&^%&**&" means but hey i'm glad you dig it
@@SeanPierceJohnson Like Billy idle MO MO MO !!
Nice pedal.. Kinda weird!
For the same money you can have a Boss EQ-200
Gary Clements true but for some people that is too much. It’s always a good idea to have options.
@@SeanPierceJohnson - check it out though. You can set this up to EQ your board at the beginning of the chain AND at the end AT THE SAME TIME! It has presets as well. Those are just a couple of the options. This is the most robust, capable, blow away EQ made for a pedal board to date. It also doesn't take up too much real estate. czcams.com/video/LHEu9BqCELA/video.html
again, I totally understand why the EQ-200 is a great option. but for some people it is too much. there is no ONE solution for every guitarist.
I hear ya. I can see having the EB-10 at the beginning of my chain and the Boss at the end. No question though, both are at the high end of pedal board EQ options.
I have the EB-10 in the front end of my chain and the EQ-200 at the end. Killer combo! I use the EB-10 to shape what I send into my overdrive/distortion section (pre-drive) all in a loop switcher) and the EQ-200 to tweak how it goes into the amp (post-drive). Then I run straight into my power section. Sounds fantastic.
The old one looked wayyyyyy better than this. They should've just took his name off it.
Robert Foster it’s not that simple. JHS did the same thing earlier this year
Dear Walrus Audio Marketing Department,
Next time you decide to "re-brand" a pedal, please do not replace an awesome design with some mundane scheme such as this.
You could've changed the screen to a flying banana and it would be cooler than the lame "EB-10" logo you put on there... it makes no sense with the design of the pedal.
You guys should've totally changed the design, not just the paint scheme... or better yet, keep the same original, completely awesome layout, that looks like like you're at the controls of a missle launch system, and take his name off of it.
Robert Foster. Completely disagree. Like this much better
if you really want the Walrus marketing department to see your opinion I'd recommend emailing them and not commenting on my video...just trying to be helpful
@@SeanPierceJohnson Nah... I don't really care whether they changed it or not, but, I have found that most companies respond to negative feedback on social media much more than they do e-mails, so... I will exercise my freedom of speech and opinion, on a video that you put up for public scrutiny. And I couldn't care less if Walrus Audio reads it or not. Thanks for the opportunity to voice my opinion on your world-wide platform though.
Thats great you liked the original design. You're welcome to still use the old one. Art is subjective. Many have told us they like the new art more. I did the art for both and enjoyed making both versions. -Tyler
