2 rounds total, 2 minutes each. Judges were considering a third round but decided against it.
Good work man! I had my first Muay Thai match here as well! I was taking photos of many of the matches with my big boy camera if you want me to check and see if I have some of yours!
Really great fight Chris. Your kicks look solid.
I think you got in a lot of great kicks, believe you should work on getting a quick combo in then getting out of range. Your opponent seemed to be throwing everything and the kitchen sink but that’d be harder to do if you keep your distance more and punish them when they move in.
Great stuff man! Loved the way you controlled that clinch attempt and got the trip! Maybe youve already added it to your arsenal, but when you fight an opponent like that you definetely should take your time and distance him with teeps. Take your time, and your body will call to you when to pick those shots.
Thanks for coming out to our event :D
Good conditioning, you won by attrition, once the other guy started landing combos its okay to reset but im sure thats easier said than done. you looked like you were living the moment! nice job
You should focus on your timing / counters, you could absolutely be deadly. That was a awesome fight
Wow, amazing, how long do you learn Muay Thai? This is cool
Hey I was there! Nice fight ,good technique pace and control
How long have you been training muay thai?
Good job, Chris!! 👊😎
Thanks for posting!
Nice fight! What event is this?
Good stuff Chris, keep it up.
Head movement Chris Head movement Good fight the yellow one was throwing good combos
I got my first fight in 50 days and i'm looking to see how these tournaments work, very nice job man.
You go Chris!!!!!
Nice job Chris!
If you don't mind me asking, how tall are you and what weight do you walk around at? I have a PMT bout coming up at 130lbs, trying to get a sense of what to expect. Thanks so much for uploading the video btw, great job!
Did you find out. I’m considering 120 or 130 but I’m not sure what
@@deadman4712 Didn't get a response but I ended up fighting at 130. Opponent was about 5'7" and wasn't cutting weight (neither was I). But the other 130 fight I saw, the guys looked a bit bigger. tbh you could be risking not finding an opponent if you do 120 I think. My event was pretty big and there weren't any 120 fights in the adult male category
@@Bogoshali I’m in California so I hope the 120 divisions have slog more people, thanks for this information
@@deadman4712 I'm in CA too, fought in Ontario. If it's easy for you to make weight at 120 then might as well. If they don't have anyone, then you can fight at 130
@@Bogoshali how many fights did you get. i have a teammate cutting to 147 and i walk around 152. im not sure if theres enough people in the 140s for 2 teamates
Great work
Awesome video
Your kicks were eliteeeee. the next Edson Barboza
Are there no rings in ammy Muay Thai? I’m about to have mine but will I have a cage, nothing, or ring?
In IKF, semi-contact fights are done on a mat because a ring takes too much time to get fighters in and out.
I just joined Muay Thai and my coach told me i adapted quick, rn im going to go get tested on my skillset and prolly jump into a tourney like this
Good luck man . I took a break and am now getting back into the sport and taking it serious
Good luck, I would like to try the same
@@Mothegreatx how long does it take to learn Muay Thai
@@truthhurts6327 It’s different for everyone.
These kind of tournaments are good for developing your fighting skills. It’s similar to a full contact bout, except without the risk of getting knocked out.
Chris, the next JCVD.
Rad! Good job man
Awesome, You fight like the Attack Titan from AOT
You need to work on boxing combo lead kick , block, chin down & moving around. you have great leg kick pressure
Very nice!
This makes me more comfortable to enter a comp soon. This is literally how we spar at my gym
how did it go?
AMAZING
Is sweeps allowed in amateur fights???
Yes
Where did you learn Muaythai?
He likely trains at his local gym.
did both people win this fight? what was the outcome? looked like she raised both hands
Yes it was a draw
Pretty self-explanatory.
that's sick!!!
“Watch your power” is going 100% illegal or something?
Yes, in point kickboxing its meant to be a lighter type of fight focused on winning off of points. To knock someone out would be a disqualification, and heavy hits are deductions
@MrFangaz i mean thats kind of the point of the competition… its for people who want to fight but may not be ready for a full on fight. Im signing up for one in a few months because ive never fought before to see if im ready for a real tournament
@@joenesbitt2384 I’m on that same boat too I’m going to start off slow with IKF bouts and jiu jitsu tournaments. Then since I feel comfortable in both areas and competing I’ll start my amateur mma career
Not sure who was saying watch ur power but if it was his corner they’re probably tryna tell him not to punch himself out
It could be a demo. Where the idea is not to take your opponents head off but primarily focused on technique. This is much safer introduction to the sport.
good fight!
Is knees and elbows against the rules in US amateur competition? It looks like is kick boxing and not Muay Thai
Bro you ripped asf
whats up with the gloves combined with a head piece? way too much safety going on for a match.
The purpose of a PMT (semi-contact kickboxing) is to improve your fighting skills in a safer environment before transitioning to full contact. Too many people start off in full contact right away when they’re not ready.
Badass!
Bro I went to this one also !
Hitmonchris used Close Combat. 🥊
It's super-effective!

yoooo which gym?
@@ChristopherJereza Zombie Muay Thai!
nice kick combo but need to follow that up with an uppercut
Their boxing needs a lot more work
You dropped him momentarily at 1:24, did these refs not care about how hard yall were going?
We fought on the same Mat and I think I went against your opponents brother 😂 same last name and team lol
dope
oiiii
I just want to know who won?
The result is pretty self-explanatory.
the hell is point muay thai
Seriously, i dont know this!! Amazing channel, i hope u dont make tatoo
I got winded watching this fight... lol
not a muay thai fight at all just kick boxing with pads. i live in thailand and that is not anything to do with my sport here i have had 300 fights here are kids evan dont use all the padding you have and we use elbow and knee.
Congratulations DannyWilliams5192 but all mature Muay Thai fight in euros and north American countries don’t have elbows and use padding. And tell me any Thai ufc champions?.
@@JoshuaRetuurns paul felder. edson barboza the list gos on and k i. ? yes meny there with the best in the world. and you dont see any u f c in tahi boxing ? come to thailand. you will see world champs traing here. u f c world chaps. i had my first fight at 7. in thailand my mums thai. dad from england who was a bare nuc fighter. 120 of my fights were in burma with head butting you will never ever see any u f c fighters there fighting. get rid of the pads mate and fight thai way
nice fight, shorter guy won tho
Nvm literally says in the description 😂.
I did my first Muay Thai fight in Thailand against a Thai guy without any protections except for the dick and I managed to win
is it normal for the ref to tell you to "calm down" and "watch your power"? it's a fight, stay out of it, would annoy the hell out of me
The purpose of a PMT (semi-contact kickboxing) is to improve your fighting skills before transitioning to full contact. Too many people start off in full contact right away when they’re not ready.
Jesus Christ is King
No teeps allowed?
That's not muay thai is it
Bro I could outbox you
This was month ago, let's see about now
This is making me lose brain cells
Watch your power??? The fuck?
It’s a semi-contact bout, meaning no knockouts allowed. These kind of bouts are typically used for people who want to compete in full contact bouts, but want to gain experience in a competition setting. People have the opportunity to improve all aspects of their fighting skills in a safer environment because there’s no risk of getting knocked out.
@@martialartsworldwide00 you’re never ready to get hit full force you just do it.
@@micky-jproductions5775, you’re missing the point. Hitting hard is merely one of the many aspects of fighting PMTs get you ready for. Ever heard of preparation?
@@martialartsworldwide00 yah that happens in sparring at the gym.
@@micky-jproductions5775 same concept, different example, hence my op ;)
im sorry wtf is this? thats not muay thai at all. thats not even k1 thats just kick boxing. no clinch no elbows no knees and FROM WHEN YOU GO EASY IN FIGHT? your main goal is to knock the shi out of that person or hurt him for the tko....goodjob tho but no muay thai
Muay Thai fights are in a ring, with no padding on,this was more taekwondo fighting,no clinching no elbows or knees, kicks and punches are weak
This is amateur…. Are you stupid or just brainless ?
