      Wow! Thank you very much, much apreciate it! I'm glad you discovered the things that I like to emphasize in a video. I think that this hobby helphed me to discover nature and thus inner peace somehow relaxing bearfoot at the field, running etc. I had the plane on gas initialy as you might saw already the video with winter flying on skis, then swithced to electric which, by geting rid of the vibrations and gas engine fuss and hastle alowed me to go further and "build on it" as I like to do. I've stopped at 10 planes, enough for my appartment, on furniture and ceileing hanging like in a museum. Now I try to work on them. Mounted the hobby king fixed wing engine sound on the Cub and on a 1.9m epo cessna and it.s awsome! Now it.s like I have a very quiet gas engine on it when in the air! Also changed the lights in the wing with more poverfull and made them running by a servo pulling a switch. Made a cardboard pipe that forces air into the esc that has the shrink tube stripped almost entirely off like all my esc's. 77 planes! Wow that's something.

    PLEASE explane us how you did that transport carrier

    • @Seneslau07
      @Seneslau07  Před měsícem

      It's a simple "device" out of two fabric belts (regular pants belts just from fabric to be soft) that go under the belly of the fuselage and on the top a handle made out of some hard wood, mine is from a house broom handle 😄. That handle gows underneath the upper side of the belts having two wooden screws in it, gows in one hole in each belt.
      At the tail, the two wings rest on some fabric ribbon, with one piece of poliester or any sowt material on the fuselage on wich the ribbon lays.
      I have several videos with this plane mostly during winter and at least in one of them can be seen how I take it out of this carrier step by step.
      Hope you can figure it out.

      Yes it is, the stock broke in too during one landing like those in the video, kind of shoking to me that is that ceramics fragile. I bolted the end part of it that holds the wheel to a piece of plexiglass about 4mm thick used at police shields and maybe other things. It is very flexible. Now from stock few mm flex, I have almost an inch of flex when pushing on it.

    • @Seneslau07
      @Seneslau07  Před rokem +1

      Thank you for your interest! Hmm...a lot of unknown facts befor settle for an answer to that. As a first plane, no way, as a third plane after some years with easy star, easy gliders and other trainers..yes/maybe. Don't realy know if it was the fact that I have a narrow flying field (13m) or is it the plane but it took me over an year to be able to realy control it and enjoy the take offs and landings. If you have a simulator and it has a piper cub plane go ahead and give it throttle..it will be all over the place. That what it did and that's what I hated. I've read all about tail draggers and how you should gradualy increase power and "fly the tail" (off the ground, plane only on main landing gear) but that didn't stop mine on take off to drive straight in the potato field at full power or in the cereals on the other side, bending the wing tube, landing gear etc. It took me a while to find out what works. It has small horizontal stab compared to wing size so it needs air over it, so full or close to full power from second one and eyes and finger on the rudder..all is good now. I don't know your experience so hard to tell. Never used SAFE system. If you like I have other similar vids with the Cub on my channel including in winter with 20cc gas engine and also with electric power in winter and an engine sound module that I love. If you have more question I'm glad to discuss about this hobby of my life so feel free to ask

      Incidentally, I think it's very good that you provide data about your plane and your cameras. Unfortunately, I don't have a camera for the plane myself, but I will somehow add it. At least I can get a better picture of it and get information about it. In the meantime, there are also drones with electronic tracking. But I don't know whether this technology is sufficient for this. It's good if you buy a professional drone for 2000 euros that will work for sure, but this is too expensive for me. Great video thanks for sharing. So do you prefer gas or electric power on this plane?

    • @Seneslau07
      @Seneslau07  Před 4 lety +2

      Thanks. I like both. I like gas for the sound, the power. I don't like the vibrations that sooner or later unloose something, the unpredictable behaviour of the engine like doesn't want to start sometimes and have to spend hours to deal with it, has an intermitent sound or all kind of behaviours that are annoying. I like electric because I go to the field more assure that I will fly. Less things to do, easy on the frame due to less vibrations.

    • @Seneslau07
      @Seneslau07  Před 4 lety +1

      Botom line, if you feel to try the gas, hear the roar of it, have patience to deal with it then try that. If you want more of a quik, clean, less fuss solution and want to be delicate on the frame go on electric. I think that if I would want to try gas again on the Cub I would be curious about a twin engine, if they are reliable at this size like 20cc, because of the less vibrations. I have a 53cc twin on a CAP 232 and I love it. I don't like the singles that much no more. But I think they would do fine on bigger frames that dump the stress easyer.

    Do you prefer the electric or gas setup?

    • @Seneslau07
      @Seneslau07  Před rokem

      By far the electric. Although my dream was gas motors on rc planes I don't like the single cylinder due it's vibrations. It literaly tears the plane apart slowly. Every couple of flights something needed attention, but maybe that's the magic of it. Since I've gone electric my chances of actualy fly when going to the field increased alot, with electric you will fly if you go out, with gas it's questionable, and I was able to expand to multiple angle cameras, engine sound module.. The single gas engine I've kept and love it it's a twin cylinder 53cc on a 27% Cap 232 aerobatic airplane, because it's smooth. Had also a 1,7m gas Zlin, turned to electric, lost 20% of the weight and rediscovered the plane once again, enjoied it a lot more since then.

    • @BrunoB99

    • @Seneslau07
      @Seneslau07  Před 2 lety +1

      Thank you! The gas engine was nice, but with the electric power I'm more relaxed because I know it works. The SK3 works ok for me, at first I had props like 16x6, 16x8, 16x10 and now I have 17x7 and it works better, more power. I don't know if it has the same power as the recommended motor like I saw in that video when a member of horizon hobby, I guess, makes a very aerobatic flight with the Cub. Well in that video it seems to have a very powerful engine...and it's the recommended one if I remember correctly. Other than that I don't have any other point of comparing this engine to others. It has enough power for me, I take off in about 10-13m and it almost pulls the weight of the plane..I would guess it has about 4,5kg static thrust with the 17x7 prop and from reviews it goes to about 80-90Amp with this prop. Another thing is that the shaft is not very long so only props with tighter hubs will leave room for the nut to screw on the remaining shaft. I use the Turnigy Ultra-Light Wood Propeller like this one hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-ultra-light-wood-propeller-17x8-1pc.html but mine is 17x7.

      @@horizongaming2272 A twin gas engine! I love them, have a xyz53cc twin on my 27% CAP232 it's great with low vobrations. Are you satisfied with the 21cc twin? Had considered myself one for the Cub in the past. I had the RCG 20cc on the Cub, also have two videos on youtube with it, a demo and a very popular one in winter with skis, check them out if you missed them. But I've converted on electric too, got tired of the fuss and temper of that gas engine. Good luck with the Cub!

      @@Seneslau07 Nice! Yeah twins are great, for the larger planes I just stick with a regular 2 stroke like the DA 60 for my 3DHS Slick 89. The twin is good- it sounds decent but I'm really loving the idea of electric for this plane. I just ordered 6" Kavan treaded wheels for it like you have, Power 60 Eflite motor, and Talon 90 amp ESC. Can't wait to fly it with the new electric setup! To see my little RC channel on youtube just search Michael W. Backus Carbon Cub 15cc - you'll see a video of my old 21cc Cub- a simple flying video, nothing like yours!

      @@horizongaming2272 Saw the video, nice and straight take off and landing and the engine roar makes me miss mine gas version. I like the kavan wheels too, even if some might like the baloon type look of the Dubro better, but they are 640g a pair, and the 6'' kavan just 200g! Recently posted on the known Cub thread about them and about my flexible home made rear wheel setup of the Cub made from plexiglass sheet, it's awesome what springiness it has, maybe an inch of travel, and the stock has..none. (min 12 and min 19 in my video).

    What scale is this aircraft? It’s beautiful!!

      @Seneslau07  Před 3 lety

      I think it's 1:5, besides the fact that 1:5 scale floats are recomended I didn't see much info about scale. It has a 2.3m wingspan.

      No there aren't. As far as I know the ones that have stock cameras are fpv planes. Can't remember an arf that has cameras when bought.

And the mounts used are homemade and can be seen in pictures on my fb page mentioned in the video description below the video or just search for jackal astro pilot on fb and look for the album carbon cub.

    • @Seneslau07

      Thanks, if you mean the way I transport the plane it's made from belts and a woden handle covered with foam. If you're reffering to the roller that I flatten the field with then I've made it from 50cm pvc pipe with screw fixed removable wooden covers, so I can fill it with dirt, a handle bolted to a pipe that rolls with grease into another one in the middle of the roller. Empty 14kg, full with dirt about 100kg. Didn't find one on the market, only those that fill with sand or wather and since I don't have any of those where I fly, I had to make one that can be filled with what I have...a lot of dirt 😀 turned out quite well.

      The word "tool" took my attention towards the roller... I know that carrying means transport and you probably had that in mind. Annyway I can give you details and pictures if you want to make your own.
