Amazing maiden my friend. Perfect takeoffs and landings. I love it. Was thinking a long time to get this baby. It looks really great. Big salute from Slovenia, Pilot Robert
Robert Petrinčič oh you need this and one for Captain Blaz too!
Very nice Cub,well done Chloe a little beauty and flies just like the real thing, remember hold the stick back while you taxi to stop her tipping over.
Could not go any better!
Beautiful aircraft and flight!... Thumbs up from Douglas, Arizona 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾🇵🇷😊
Don't have gas plane... yet thanks to you and captain blaz I just might. I will learn a lot I'm sure.
Wow, you scared the crap out of me on your first take off. That pole was just to the left and I thought the torque would put you right into pole but you pulled through with no heavy rpm until you were well past the pole. Nice job!!
Awesome job and great see someone so happy .
Hi there I saw your video I am an instructor here in Illinois I just got a female student and she is so excited to learn to fly we started late this year I am pretty sure she'll be much better next spring it's nice to see females into RC airplanes I like to see more of you females out there makes it more exciting thanks for your video Carl
Congratulations Chloe great job on the maiden.
Such a nice plane with such "sub par" landing gear.
At the time I shot this video, I was using the stock wheels that came with the kit - which are hard as hockey pucks. I only got about 4 flights on the plane before I had to replace the springs on the gear because they had worn out. I replaced the wheels with Soft Dubro 5" wheels, and this has helped it out 200%. The landings are quiet now, and I have since found some better springs that are a little more forgiving. I'd like to get a pair of shocks for it like the ones PR Bush Wheels made. But they are out of business, so I am thinking about trying to machine my own, at some point. I also got rid of the 15cc Evolution Gas motor & 8oz fuel tank, and put in an O.S. 1.20AX Glow Engine with a 16oz tank. WAYYYY better! I would recommend nothing less than 20cc motor for this plane. Its a bit heavy and 15cc just doesn't get it for my tastes.
Nice plane and very nice maiden! Congrats...
Well done ! That whas Nice ! ✈️✈️✈️👍
Nice Job, those maiden flights alway get the adrenaline pumping. Even with 50+ years doing this. That post sticking up just to the first touch down looked scary close. Like your videos .
Was that a Slovenian roar I heard from you Chloe? (Ohh Yeahhhhhh). What a great gasser flight. Could feel your excitement. After decades of owning small gas engines (chain saws, weed wackers, ect) and putting up with their issues, I'll stick to electric motored planes, but sure smiled while you were tearing up the skies with your gasser.. :)
Congratulations for both the assembly and the perfect maiden of this gorgeous bird! Happy New Year to you and your father, and thanks for sharing!
Big Planes are more gentle !! Good job on Flying that wonderful plane !!! may it have a long life ..
Smiled all the way through the video, great plane, great sound, great piloting! Enjoying your channel.
Nice 🤗 flying Chloe👍👍👍
Can't think of a better Jan 1st :-). Very encouraging - thanks, I am pulling the trigger "now"!
Great job of flying with some really SWEET landings. When the engine makes that "bluberie" sound it is rich. Every time you fly the air will be different and a little tuning each time may be necessary. Good job, thanks for sharing.
Congrats! Hard work paid off
Fantastic maiden flight Chloe! So happy it went without a hitch I kind of new it would fly like a kite. Seen many of these beauties at our field in Md. Now I too want to build one from arf this plane is bigger than my 70t clips from Sig. Wait till you have a blue sky with puffy white clouds your going to love that color cub it is awesome!!!!!
I love the crawl-walk-run approach you take on things! All too often I witness R/Cers overlook the fundamentals that ensure success and instead focus on things that only slightly improve performance (assuming the pilot is even capable of taking advantage of it)
Chloe you are such a great pilot. I have same plane on my work bench right now. Hope to fly it this weekend if the weather is good. Been windy here last few Sundays Southern California area. I have a Go Pro for it hope to get some nice HD video to post on CZcams. Happy Flying.
bill b it’s a great flying plane. Scale looks and flying characteristics. Enjoy! I’m working on the Hangar 9 xCub now. Hope to get it up in the air by Easter.
Congratulations! Beautiful flying plane.
Sweet maiden more power 20cc
Awesome job! This is one of my favorite planes to fly. You did great.
Nice job flying and keeping that engine. Running. Good editing alsp
Beautiful plane and you flew it perfectly. nice job and some great camera work.
Great flight! Now put some tundra tires on that beautiful bird. I've got the quarter scale j3 and I swear they are the easiest planes to fly, the bigger they are, the more you love em.
Great job, congrats on the awesome plane I want that one next so bad I cant wait! I hope you get it tuned just right!!
It flies real nice great flight congrats and well done
Great stuff Chloe, Really enjoying the channel ! keep up the great work...All the Best from Blighty
Beautiful plane, great flying. Wish iwas half as good.
Peter Goodwin you'll get there buddy
AWESOME! Ear 2 Ear smile on New Years Day!
Good job, gas and balsa planes... yay 😊😊😊😊
Awesome plane and flight!!
That was a nice outing came due to the LIVE jive from Saturday, Jeff
Nice job!
Nice job, easy landing!
Very, very nice!
right on i love mine good flight
I'm seriously considering the purchase one of these Cubs.
I fly a rental Sport Cub S2 once a month or so depending on weather and it's the best handling taildragger I ever flown (it's the full scale light sport or LSA version made by CubCrafters).
I think Horizon Hobby has a real winner with this model!
Nice flying BTW! :-)
Awesome! Congratulations!
Super maiden.😊
Salute what a flyer....
Nice plane 👍
OHHHHHH YEAHHHH!! DIS IS IT CHLOE, H E Y!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It flys real nice
Greetings from down under. Mine is the electric version, flys beautifully. Have a look at P R Bushwheels. I've upgraded to 6.5" wheels and better suspension. Keep warm😊
Great job thank you.
Nice Job!
Thank you!
Awesome flight...seemed like it flew easy. I'm assuming you got the CG issue worked out from what I was reading on Facebook. Blood, sweat, and beers...lol loved it!
Beautiful carbon cub, congratulations on the maiden, but I bet it would appreciate a flared landing :) lol.
You did a real good job with flying the only thing bet you didn't do was adjust a carburetor you have to do that every time you fly and you have to run the throttle up and hold the plane up with your hand then make sure it doesn't stall all that will come in time other than that you did real good good stuff
Thoroughly enjoyed this flight. Beautiful plane. Subbed :)
Awww thank you 🤗🤗🤗
RC Safari you’re welcome 😊
hi , robert and blaz recommended u , nice
ive been waiting for this!!
Good maiden flight and great model from Hangar 9. I want to buy this one or Carbon Z from eflite. This one looks much better.
Thank you for this presentation.
Best regards.
Great job. I can appreciate your enthusiasm! Reminds me of Pilot Robert and Captain Blaz! I too have the Carbon Cub, and after flying it at first with a DLE 20, I changed over to an OS 110 4 stroke glow and couldn’t be happier. Such a nice, low, rumbling sound. You will like that Saito 4 stroke on your new X Cub! Best wishes to you. I am a new subscriber.
David Kristy thank you and I’d love to see video of your cub flying.
RC Safari I’ll have to take one when the weather finally gets decent! Even down here in Tennessee it’s been a rough winter with very few good flying days. Of course, not like Ohio, but it’s all relative! 45 degrees is my lower limit! 🥶
Now you are talking!!!!!!this is it!!!!!!!needs some tuning but it was very giod maiden...
Thank you Captain!
Great job on the maiden...Atmospheric conditions rake havoc on Gas and Nitro engines...Its cold, damp and soggy around here...I guess I am a fair weather flyer...Start with the high side lean it out for top rpm then back off a hair...then adjust the low side, yours could be too lean...your looking for a smooth transition from low to high...yours is close, try an 1/8 of a turn either way until it runs like a top...Hope this helps...
Steven Stowe thanks. I’ll give it a try!
your videos are so entertaining, than you!..this is my next plane.
Great flight! Try and keep the elevator up when taxing, hate to see you break a prop.
Just curious, how is the carbon cub holding on after about a yr of ownership?
* its impressive the attitude and love for the hobby shared to the viewers, ty.
Ask Capt BLAZ he can help. Nice flight. I flew my Cub today too. 😎
I SALUTE YOU MY FRIEND 😎
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻great way to start the new year! What state are you casting from?
Bryan Patton Ohio!
waw i like it good job tell me do you have plan,??
💡
Hello. Just purchased one of these and I too am mounting an AR 636 in it with the Timber profile. Did you have to adjust the angle of the receiver? I’m asking because it seems like when safe mode is on, and the plane is held level (tail off ground) it still pitches up.
Daniel Rogers it’s mounted level in the cabin. Mine flys decent. Just a tad of right Aileron trim.
are you using as3x, or is it already very stable in the air?
💙
from an experienced pilot that was good flying. thanks for posting a video of the 15cc plane with an actual fuel engine lol most just post electric. thats all i ever fl i want a fuel plane, how much total did you spend ?
Joseph Rueck kit was 350. The motor was 300. Servos receiver and batteries another 300. And about 50 in misc other stuff.
which motor did you use thats expencive almost seems cheaper to go electric an electric esc motor 1- 5000 ma 6pack or 2 -3 packs if i can get a large enough 3 pack itl last 15 minuets in my timber ad servos but i guess servos arent cheap if you want good ones the servos in the timber are junk iv replaced several already and never crashed the plane
Hi from sweden,bigger propp maby?🤔
why is Idle so high? (ok never mind you said it in the video xD just fine tune it a bit and it will do just fine!)
I’ve been eyeing this plane for a home for my dle 20. Think it will fit under the hood?
Phil Trammel people have already done it! Search CZcams.
Well done on the maiden. I maidened mine yesterday as well and it was a great feeling. I was nervous as hell and it was a pussy cat to fly. Mine is electric setup
so your flying that with a 6 ch receiver ?. I wanted to use the saito fg21 4 stroke engine im a bit confused as why i still need to add oil but i guess because its a model engine lol the saito engine is almost 500 and ignition 150? thats going to be a very expencive build
Joseph Rueck yeah. It’s not cheap but the thrill and pride is priceless!
Hey Joseph, I am going to get this plane and I am going to use the Saito fg21 as well. How did it work out for you? I am concerned about cutting the cowling for the muffler. I saw on Tower Hobbies a flexible exhaust/muffler and I am wondering if that can be used and if so will it help me to avoid butchering the cowling? What servo's would you recommend? Thanks for any advice that you can lend.
Was 4:21 a captian blaz reference?
840GlazeIt oh yeah :)
what model evolution 15cc?
Yes, that was the 15cc. IMO it was under powered. I later upgraded it to 20cc gas, then again to a OS 1.20 Nitro and OH BOY was it way more fun!
Too standard landing, everything is perfect ... congratulations to the boss ..!
