@@dark9708 i’m a beginner photographer and most of my shots are with dslr but when i don’t have it on me the 12 is the best choice out there. a lot of android phones claim to have better specifications but in the end every beginner to professional photographer uses iphone.
Now to the comparison : don’t buy xr at all! if you’re low on bugdet the iphone 11 is a great choice . Apart from night mode there are only minor updates. But if you want a better slimmer lighter and less bulky design go with the 12.
i’d recommend the 12 over 11 anytime if you ignore the price tags

It depends on the scenario and what message you wish to transmit. It also depends if you intend to share the images on social media or prints. It is up to the photographer to decide. To begin, we recommend you photograph a scene in both portrait and landscape mode to see which one works best for you.

Why some videos I recorded on the iphone can't play on windows media? file say it's AAE and not supported by windows media. This is only some videos not all that is recorded.
It might be the format, go to the camera settings on your iPhone and check that you're using Most Compatible instead of High Efficiency.
