I want to thank you for the clear, concise teaching method. I am of a "certain age" and have no problem following along with your teachings. I followed all the steps and it turned out well. But when I upload it fb it looks like TikTok. how to remove all those letters on the side?

I use Lr mobile on my iPad Pro. I think in the detail section there is a Masking slider. I’m told if you press and hold your screen while dragging the slider, the image will temporarily look like an overexposed black and white image but the more you drag the slider, the less it looks like that. Can you explain what is actually happening and why I would need to use the masking in that section?
