How medal event is judged:
1 heat of 8 athletes in a 20-minute jam session taking as many runs as time permits. Best run counts, based on overall impression ranked 1-8. Judges will rank competitors throughout the contest.

It is Knuckle, not big air.. Henrik with a 20 meters butter got robbed.
I'd say knuckle huck doesn't need only butters etc. It literally says "huck" in the name. I love butters, but I love the variety in knuckle huck events more. And Henrik got second, I wouldn't say robbed exactly.
Judging criteria should be use of knuckle, style, creativity and difficulty, equally weighted. Creativity, innovation and progression are kinda the same thing IMO
for sure easily longest butter of the comp- should have moved him a spot or two at least but stayed in 6th
Bro Henrik is doing the same thing every year. He got indeed robbed back in 2020 with his Griselda Flip, but then in 2021 he robbed Tjader
insane how the rest of the disciplines had a huge shift towards style and creativity and knuckle huck of all events went in the opposite direction for skiing 💀
Not the athletes fault really, the problem is the way they built the knuckle this year. The takeoff built into it is too poppy which makes it impossible for athletes to use the whole thing they get sent too high. In snowboard men they missed like 80% of the hand drags they went for because they were too high.

Idk man, I saw some pretty crazy stuff this year in Knuckle Huck even when excluding those double corks
came to watch knuckle huck, ended up watching big air, jesper should have won for not going for spins

Jesper is a ski robot. His motherboard tells his hardware what to do and it does it. lol For real though, the minute the judges were like, goo goo gaga we like spins, h'es like ok, I spin. Then gets in the top three. Have better hiring practices for judges, just like X-Games, it's a yearly thing.

Agree! I understand the judges don't score it high, but it is definitely the most crowd pleasing trick.
Henrik's Griselda flip was the all-time winner. This comp has not been the same.

Okay so how about this: you add a second award to this event called 'the Steezemeister', and hand it out to the person with the trick that oozes the most style 🤙 Maybe even have the riders themselves decide who deserves it most?
My personal pick for this contest: Juho's tail drag front flip.
it shouldn't have to be the second award... that's what SHOULD be gold! this whole event was sold to us as an event to maximize style, creativity, and steeze, and now it's just turning into big air v2 where spin to win gets you gold. disgustingly boring.
juding was weak, you need to change it. They all start throwing the same doubles. Proof you are judging it badly and it's a shame because that's not what we want to see from the knuckle huck. Creativity and style is want we want to see, but also a bit of craziness. Not a robot machine doing all the doubles possible. SHAME ON YOU THE JUDGES.

Was wondering what was up with the scoring, started reading comments and see i am not the only one. This is knuckle huck, cmon guys.
I’m disappointed with the competition this year. The rider with less style, less use of knuckle, but more spins gets to take home the gold. Dylan Alito should have been ranked higher for sure. This is why I love people like Zeb Powell and Rene Rinnekangas, they are absolutely unmatched in style and creativity on the slopes. When the competition is the knuckle huck big air tricks should not be the thing winning the competition. I hope they award the people who really utilize the knuckle next year.
They purposely built up a takeoff on the knuckle and it defeats the entire point of the event. Knuckles should have a convex takeoff not a concave one. You could see it especially in the snowboard comp, the knuckle was so poppy everyone was missing hand drags because they got sent too high, the only real option was to do jump line tricks because the top part of the knuckle was inaccessible because of the takeoff before it
They should actively retract points for every rotation over 1080
The knuckle huck is hands-down, the most entertaining event thus far, but with that said, the skiers hardly use the knuckle at all, compared to the snowboarders. This was like watching a big air event on a smaller jump. The snowboarders were far more creative and use the knuckle A LOT more. Some even used props to get more creative. Skiiers need to step it up.

Next year fans vote all 8 riders in for knuckle huck henki and b dog should go at it against eachother before its too late but forreal this was a big air comp off the knuckle
Imagine you create knuckle huck to push creativity and style,go back to the roots basically, everyone loved the comp and 3 years later it evolved to big air kinda

Some cool tricks for sure, henrik with the longest nose butter ever! But sad to see this contest going in the wrong direction
Actually one of the hardest to say who should Podium. Top 4 were all worthy of Gold/Silver status. I think Colby and Jesper should have been both given 1st then Quinn and Henrik both 3rd. Jesper had variety and some sick stuff, Colby had consistently top level. Henrick and Quinn both have the sauce, but neither did anything quite on the level of Jesper and Colby. But let not forget, this was arguably the best event this year and these guys just keep pushing the bill on what you can do on a knuckle.
I'm a boarder but i was so impressed with the tricks that if i was starting again I'd totally opt for skiing.
Shame that it seemed to go away from creativity and info spin to win though. I thought Jesper deserved it for his very unique attempts. Could tell hall was very close too.

To fix this events transformation into a big air constest. The score should be comprised of only 50% peoples choice component and 50% riders choice component. Difficulty should only be considered in the context of creativity. If all the riders are doing doubs or triples, then on a relative basis it's not that dificult for them and not fun to watch, so they shouldn't be rewarded for doing the same dificult trick as everyone else.
