Yeah, I’m more of a DC guy myself. I do enjoy Marvel, Image, Boom, etc, but DC really dominates by collection.
I think that doom patrol #99 needs a mention. first appearance of a very popular character, he's on the cover, and it's silver age, doesn't get enough attention

“If that was a Marvel book I swear that would be 500 to a 1000 dollars.” It sounds like a funny saying but wow it’s true, especially with speculations. And I always loved that Det 701, such a cool cover and story
That Grant/Breyfogle run on Batman and Detective Comics has a ton of first appearances of fairly notable villains and supporting characters: Anarky, Ventriloquist and Scarface, Renee Montoya, Cornelius Stirk, Mr Zsasz, Rat catcher, Kadaver, Jeremiah Arkham...
Guy Gardner: "Here Beetle, hold my ring..." and in the next panel, Blue Beetle just tosses it away! Hilarious!
I love how blue beetle is just laughing while guy Gardner just been humiliated
And I thought I was familiar with undervalued, unrecognized keys. You, sir are the champion.
At a local comic con a couple months ago, I found the first appearance of Anarky and I would not have known what it was if it weren't for your videos!
I think that I have an extra copy of Detective #609 if you want it .

TEC 608 was the first comic I ever had when my mom got it for me. I remember finding Anarky creepy looking.
Great video, most people only talk about Marvel keys. I’m a DC guy so I enjoy your videos. The fact that you actually read not just old books but the new books puts you above everyone else. I’m with you, every week I come home from my LCS and read Image first. I think my indie pull list is getting bigger than my DC🥶 Keep up the great work James!

Agree. Anarky’s first appearance is totally undervalued.
Great video as usual James. IMO Omega men 3, first Lobo and House of Mystery 156, first dial H for hero. Now is the time to get DC keys before they blow up, DC will have its time!

DC has so many undervalued comics. Like first Tim Drake (Batman 436) or first Stephanie Brown (Detective Comics 647), they are crazy cheap.
Two possible ideas for your Marvel undervalued video:
Uncanny X-men 317. First appearance of Blink. She was introduced in the Age of Apocalypse story and was the team leader in the long-running Exiles series. She had her own mini-series and there are a lot of Blink-fans out there. She also keeps popping up in new stories. Yet her first appearance can still be found for cheap, I found it in crisp NM in a eurobox (euro is about one dollar).
X-Force 125, first Dead Girl. She was a member of the weird, but hilarious X-Static team. And now she popped up again as a counselor in the Strange Academy series. This book is rising a bit in value, but can still be found in the bins. This one feels more speculative, but is a lot of fun. Bonus tip here: X-Force 124, it is often in the bin right next to this one. Zero value, but that's a Darwyn Cooke cover!

There is a pair of comics that features the final team up of Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson before Fick switched from the Robin identity to Nightwing. New Teen Titans#37 and Batman and the Outsiders#5 featured the final team up of The Dynamico Duo in November 1983.
I'm glad you mentioned the Spectre, I'm a little surprised at how little people even mention the Spectre, He's just not included and hardly any DC material, And he's a super cool character 💯

Anarchy is such an Underrated villain in the Batman world. There could be some great philosophical battles and stories told between him and Batman 🔥🔥🔥

I am just a kid and I’ve noticed that people at my local comic stores don’t take me and my books seriously and just ignore me when I say I want to sell a few books even though their high grade keys even though they’re interested. Nice to know about 1st app. Anarky, I think I have a couple of those. I have Spectre #1 and I have All Star #22 from golden age, (great flag cover btw). Would be nice to find that Showcase #60. Great Video.
I was exclusively a marvel collector before I started watching your videos. After watching your videos, I started getting into a lot more of the dc stuff. I'm just about to read swamp thing and the sandman.

I literally just hung my triple signed copy of JL 5 on my wall next to a Maguire GG sketch from Baltimore last year.
Love the video. I’m a Marvel guy primarily but DC does have some really great stories and criminally undervalued books.

I have a lot of superboy comics. I would love to add those 2 to my collection. I used to have them in my collection then COVID hit and lost my job and unemployment wouldn't approve my claim and I lost my storage unit with my massive comic collection, video game collection, and My brothers stuff. I started my collection again about a year and a half ago. I'm at 1800 comics now. You helped me get into collecting again. I love your channel and videos. Keep up the good work.

I get so happy whenever I c u upload dc comics r so good they need to stay undervalued so I can afford them
I think the most likely reason so many of these are so cheap is because to someone like me, who is mostly a Marvel guy, I've never heard of a single one of these characters whose first appearances these are (except psycho pirate and that's only because of Tom King). They're not mainstream enough for people to care enough to drive the prices up.
I'll give it to ya man. A month ago I was 80% marvel and 20% independent. You got me hooked on DC comics now. For the past 2 weeks I'm buy all DC books because people seem to be offloading it for very cheap. Great stories that I've missed.

I've got most of these books. I absolutely love DC Comics. They really need to be ring back Anarky, and they need to bring back Azrael, too.

Awesome list. I would add that many of the Breyfogle late 80s Batman and Detective comics are way undervalued. His art was so unique!
I think a lot of DC books are being under valued because the Marvel Cinematic Universe is so popular right now it is driving the sales. I am more of a DC than Marvel fan but I agree that the DC movies are not as good as the Marvel movies. On the brightside dc fans can get good books for a good deal
I did hear DC are pumping billions in to future movies. They know Marvel is to dominant & there fan base is huge! I believe DC are having a sit back and pre-planned strategy for the long term.
DC comics are undervalued so a great time to buy before the roles reverse.

I at one point had that 1st Neron but traded it away in a lot and haven’t seen a nice copy since. Still kicking myself for it.

Overall I think DC is undervalued compared to Marvel. Especially in Flash and Green Lantern keys. I picked up a Flash 139 for what seemed like a song compared to similar age first appearances of major DC villains.
Keep these undervalued DC comics coming! I’ve been a Marvel guy mostly but DC seems to have some pretty unique stuff that I’ve simply missed over the years.

Good data. What I have noticed that right now that many people are trying to sell comics from the 80s and 90s and comic shops are not interested. Unless you have major keys. LCS are only interested in silver or golden age.
Every week a brand new Marvel book usually becomes overvalued...
Fun video. This kind of info is good for people who are priced out of big keys but still want to find good stuff that can eventually get big.

James- curious if you have any opinions on Legion keys...obviously Adventure 247 is the book but do you see any other LSH keys out there? LSH keys are kinda weird in that they are huge to fans but appear non existent to the community at large.

Great list! I'm the DC guy at my LCS.
Really enjoyed watching this and seeing how there are some low and mid level keys at a very reasonable price and definitely worth getting. Another undervalued key is Birds of Prey #37 (2002) as it is the first appearance of the Condiment King, the silliest villain ever alongside snowflame, and can be found in $1 & 50 cent bins.
So happy I found this channel, I’m pretty new to collecting and am pretty lost if I’m being honest. This is a great best video for a beginner
