What I don’t understand if one person have the right to not wear it why would the other person not have the right to wear it. This is a free country why can’t we just accept and respect the two views. It shouldn’t be this complicated.

It’s very simple: respect everyone’s decision to wear or not to wear a mask. I was with my much older father walking down an aisle (both of us masked) and a young man saw us coming his way. He stopped and put his on, acknowledging that if we were wearing them it was for a reason. Very kind and empathetic.
Amen. I’m as healthy as an Ox but my father is very ill, I wear a mask to protect him and others like him, even if it offers half of 1% increase in protection, I’ll do it and everything else I can possibly do to protect him and others like him.
Can you imagine DeSantis having such compassion and insight? Never well happen...
But Masks don't do anything. Covid is mostly over. Cases are low, omnicron symptoms are weak & we have all but reached herd immunity. DeSantis is right, this is all for show.....In Europe they are not wearing masks anywhere anymore. Pre-Covid, when people were rational, I do think that a student could wear a mask for no reason. Since even the CDC says the cloth masks don't work, there is no reason to wear a mask. But even so, De Santis still told them to wear them if they want to.

Has your school ever gotten a lice infestation? The school closes, everyone goes home and gets shampoo and washes all bedding, clothes, etc. It's a lot.
Once all the nits have been picked out of everyone's hair, the school reopens.
Can you imagine someone refusing to do their part ("my freedom says you can't make me use lice shampoo") and coming to school with lice dropping from their hair (so that everyone has to take time off work again, wash everyone's hair again, and wash down everything in their house again)?

School students in Sweden, for example, NEVER used face masks during the last two years, neither did they miss one single day of school.
