Simply put - Mike Johnson is advising the Democrats to stop talking to the American citizens about Authoritarianism and Project 2025, because the discussion is having a harmful impact on the Republicans' political campaign.

Instead of having a usual campaign, the Biden administration sent their DOJ after President Trump as soon as he said he would run for president again. The Biden administration declared President Trump lost his executive privileges, which gave the DOJ their opening. In April the Biden administration called for the removal of President Trump's security detail. President Trump has been asking for enhanced security for months and the Biden administration has refused. Many Democrat politicians have called for violence, including Maxine Waters and the media has lied constantly about President Trump.
