Wouldn't it be cool if they made a version you can play on console that's cross play with arcade 1up. Maybe that's why the online is delayed. But that's just my wishful thinking

@@user-ro1vn7ch4c they did? wasn't aware of that... unless you mean from a while ago. I know that they made it possible to play on different stages and there were some very minor optimization but I wouldn't blame people if not for MVC2.
But for Xmen v SF and Marvel vs Capcom, a lot of people play yeah. Almost hard not to find games.

You could just take the back boards off and spray paint them black. From everything I've seen about this cabinet, that's the least of the complaints!😲

Totally get your frustration. Got Marvel Superheroes as a gift and there was a nice ding in it. The dings gave a cabinet character Back in the 80s at the arcade lol.
I always wanted this game in cabinet form I wouldn't have no complaints. This was a dream come true for most. Proud moment
I know 3 people that got these and all of them have returned it. The input lag is terrible, even without scanlines. Lack of online play for MvC2 is nuts considering it's kind of the main selling point. And it's not really for casuals, I mean it's expensive as hell. So it needs to work for the people really into MvC2/the FGC.
The hardware can also overheat apparently, which I've seen a few people mention. I was on the fence about getting something from A1UP, but this kind of sealed it as 'stay away.'

I'm guessing they're not using Sanwas since they want something that replicates the Happ or IL parts used in the original American cabs.
I suppose if that's the case, they could use real Happs or IL's, surely they can get a good price when ordering that many buttons, it may not be as cheap as their chinese counterparts but the quality upgrade would be huge.
I swapped mine SF2 ones to sanwa sticks and it's huge how better it is. Still waiting for some better Happ competition buttons but been using some chinese led knockoff ones that are almost as good.

Was the audio issue ever addressed? I saw the March update added online for MvC2, but I can't find any kind of patch history
I like the riser but wish they had done better artwork for it
It still sucks and has issues from launch. Can't believe it won't be great online ever.
@user-ro1vn7ch4c I haven't really tried the online but I still love the cab itself, audio isn't to big an issue as I usually have to use headphones when I play cuz the kids asleep
Nope still hissy and too loud. The headphone jack works better.
why does the 2 look red on the marquee?
It's a real crappy print. A low res scan and even has scanned hairs printed onto it. 20 seconds in Photoshop would have fixed that.

I know a lot of people are knocking it but I love my MvC2 cab. I’ve had no issues aside of the volume going down by itself here and there. I got the big blue as well and that one works flawlessly but then again I’m not a competitive gamer.

if i paid $600 for an emulator and a couple roms, id be pretty pissed if it was at all buggy.
I got a cheap usb audio adapter and it works with everything apart from the original MvC2 app, which is strange. Works fine on big blue and CE, and RetroArch. Lower volume and no background hiss. Have to swap audio cables to play MvC2 though. It it was possible to get that running in RetroArch I wouldn't even bother with any of the apps.
When the online lobby is going to be available? Getting this cab on day 1 feels like a scam to me I wanted to play online and there is no online for MVSC2

I got big blue, yoga flame and retro arch working on this so if you have the time and patience it will be worth the price. Will be better when it goes live.

that's a lot of copium. The screens suck, the buttons suck, the joystick sucks, the input lag sucks, the online will suck and the emulation of the game is not arcade perfect. You bought a lemon, but anyone who actually played MvC2 would have told you that before you paid for this garbage.
I'm also happy with it, no way it's worth $600 but if you get it cheap and are prepared to at least do a bit of softmodding it's a decent deal.

Just got one of these for less than half the retail price. Softmod with retroarch and its a great bit of kit for the price. Wouldnt pay $600 for it, no way.

I still play this on my PS3, and Capcom vs SNK 2 it's locked on PS2, these are two games Capcom need to remaster to Ps4-5.
arcade 1up needs to sell a MVC2 plug and play to a t.v with online play. I have 4x acrade 1up machines just out of space and funds to keep adding or rebuying new machines with more games.

I love this cabinet. I know it has some issues but I know it will get fixed in time. But buying the 6 Fighting Games on here along with the Consoles and proper converters to play them still would have cost about the same price. So to me it was worth it if you was wanting all these Marvel Fighting Games. It's the only Arcade1Up Cabinet I have. I upgraded the buttons and sticks on mine to Sanwa. I also want that Big Blue but not for SFII but for Darkstalkers. I'm not a big fan of SFII. I prefer Alpha & 3 way more. If Big Blue was $300 I would get it. Hopefully they come out with a Capcom Vs. SNK 2 & a Street Fighter Alpha Cabinets with Darkstalkers in it. Better Fighting Games than mid SFII & KI and especially trash ass Mortal Kombat (Baby Fighter, Easy Directional Inputs) LOL!

Get a good arcade stick and just do fightcade. This is a waste of space and money. Plus no online play and tons of bugs that they will never fix because arcade1up only cares about money. They don't even sell the pre-orders from themselves now they send to the stores so all returns go to them so they lose 0 profits made off the crap they put out. Heck you can get a dreamcast and used copy of MVC2 for like 300 dollars in total and that version is arcade

I have almost every single 2D/2.5D Fighting Game ever created. I want to play them on a Arcade Cabinet. Will I be okay without it? Yes! Is it important to have one? No! Will it change how I play? No! LOL! I just want it.
Mortal Kombat is “babies first fighting game with blood”
They take the blood to the extreme so you don’t care to see it anywhere after that.
Suddenly, fighters that have no blood, but AWESOME special moves, come into view and you start playing more seriously.
The control panel doesn't even fit properly and forces the screen way out of centre and tiny arcade1up screen logo makes it look worse squeezed in. Such a pathetic cab so sad.
LOL! Do you have the Cabinet? There isn't a lot of issues with it. Yes it's my first and only Arcade1Up Cabinet but my artwork lines up, there's no issues with gameplay with the current update. Plus buying all 6 Marvel Fighting Games, the Consoles for them and proper Converters just to play them properly is still going to cost you around $600 without online if you wanted all these games like I did. Now these games might not mean nothing to you so you aren't the consumer for this product. But I definitely don't regret my purchase.

@wu-bangya4486 Don't expect to have a long 2 Player session on the Cabinet. It's not big enough for 2. Other than the volume issue and not having online yet, it's a great Cabinet. Wouldn't sell mine for $1,000.

That thing looks like it has input delay even without scanlines. With scanlines, it looks unplayable.

Never liked their stuff. Get a MiSTer and a decent arcade stick. Much better investment than this glorified emulation box with input lag and cheap made cabinet. ☮️

Arcade 1Up is ok if u know how to raspberry pi it and upgrade to add what u like. Selling an arcade wit limited games suck.
It would be cool if they could sell extra titles through a usb that you could just plug in and copy over onto the main drive. Keep the cabinet and art, but add more games as a plug and play option. Not everyone has the time or aptitude to handle modding.

You make marvel Vs capcom 2 look like it was banned what about X-men Vs street fighter and marvel super heroes Vs street fighter the 2 games that failed on PS1 that were never released digital ever once on any console you would see marvel super heroes marvel vs capcom and marvel Vs capcom 2 digital on PS3 xbox 360 o day marvel vs capcom 2 was on more consoles then X-men Vs street fighter and marvel super heroes Vs street fighter I bought this arcade 1 up cause of those 2 games that failed on PS1 marvel vs capcom 2 didn’t fail on PS2 Dreamcast original Xbox it was perfect

Honestly I enjoy the mvc2 cabinet, considering you’d have to pay more to get these games on console and they’re much inferior versions. Plus I enjoy with my street fighter legacy, midway legacy, ridge racer, TMNT, marvel super heroes( yes I keep it because of the punisher arcade), Simpsons, also my gen 1 Galaga and Pac-Man
I’ll take my copy on Dreamcast before this any day
@@jamesdelgado3885 that game alone is worth half the amount for the cabinet that has that game and 7 other games. If you got the console version of those 8 games you’re paying $1000 and those versions of some of those games are far more inferior. I should know I have a majority of those games on console.

If something cost that much money, has a lot of bugs and no online play the cab is not good. It's a waste of money.
I can’t disagree Daniel. They should have waited if it would take this long to get online play going along with getting a lot of obvious bugs cleaned up.
@@danieldiggs9574 yeah. I've gotten some of these games running well on emulation (particularly using recent Dreamcast emulators.) If it's poorly emulating them, why the heck spend all the money?
@@jbbrolic I'm 42 years old. I don't game like I used to. Time plus I out grew a lot of it to be honest but I get it. This arcade 1up act is def. pushing my age range for nostalgia. It's not good. It's a lot of money and space and is going to eventually end up like those Rock Band and Guitar Hero plastic instruments. Only so much you can play these old games that's why arcades worked for them. The high score chase and going maybe once a week to hang with friends made it a day. I ask the same question. Why spend all the money. I won't lie there were a few where I was like wow hmmm maybe I'll go for it but every time I knew in reality it becomes a chase of now I got one. Let's get another and another and it adds up just like a lot of hobbies. I thought about the Star Wars one and I'm not even into Star Wars but I thought it was something that wouldn't be the same on a console. I have Capcom collections, the new Turtles beat em up collections, Street Fighter 2 arcade perfect ports etc. and I barely touch them. These are some of my favorite games ever but it's not like I play them much and I feel big waste of arcades. Sorry for long writing.

$600 is a lot of money for something i can run on my PC for free.
You can play almost every console or arcade machine on PC these days. Although you probably won't, as the nostalgia fades very quickly when playing classic games on a 32" 4K screen with an Xbox controller.
